I have been in search of a term that best describes my feelings and I honestly feel like I still haven't found it, but having something that feels free to me is what I'm most excited about.

I am not bashing or denouncing any terms or history, I am just having something that feels lest restrictive in my journey. If you'd like to also use this term, feel free. This was made with me in mind and within like an hour so it's got some flaws.

I'll be using this term in tandem with therian/otherhearted/otherkin/etc, since it's essentially an amalgamation of many things.

❅ Animalurge:

Animalurge represents a profound desire to embody various animal qualities, encompassing physical attributes like ears, tails, and instincts, as well as connections to the natural habitats where these animals reside.

Individuals with Animalurge experience comfort and a sense of freedom when envisioning themselves with these animal qualities or as animals. These feelings can fluctuate in intensity and may be associated with a diverse array of animals. This term encapsulates a fusion of experiences often found in therianthropy, otherheartedness, and regression.

It's an integrated feeling that can be triggered by specific circumstances such as watching documentaries about the chosen animal, encountering related foods, engaging in specific activities, or immersing themselves in nature or related gear.

Individuals can choose to define their experience as identifying "with" or "as" an animal or neither/both. Animalurge is a term designed to encompass a wide range of experiences that may or may not align with existing media representations.

❅ -Lurge:

The suffix "-lurge" is used to denote specific Animalurge identities.

❅ Examples:

❅ Parker is an Animalurge. They are a wolflurge. With a strong yearning to possess biological wolf traits and instincts, Parker finds a sense of freedom in nature and takes pleasure in daydreaming about life as a wolf and "acting" like one. These feelings are a consistent part of their daily thoughts and experiences.

❅ Toby is also an Animalurge, specifically a catlurge. Toby's desires and visions for their catself are highly specific. They imagine themselves as a dilute tortoiseshell house cat. These catlurge feelings arise periodically, typically once a month, often triggered by posts or media related to cats.

❅ Minty is a multi-faceted Animalurge, encompassing broad rabbitlurge connections with all variants of rabbits, deeply routed in her being. Her primary focus is rabbitlurge, a feeling of a mind intertwined with these creatures. Additionally, she is a cockatiellurge, which she considers more for fun, keeping it in mind when swinging on a swing or enjoying sunflower seeds. Her mouselurge identity is derived from a general interest in mice, representing a blend of various aspects that change in intensity throughout the year.

I'm aware that is probably really confusing to read, or just looks like a jumbled mess. That's alright, I'll put some more effort into this some other time. I am not scanning this for errors rn ^^"

I miss nature. I hope I can visit again this summer, reconnect. I love technology, don't get me wrong, but there's that special feeling of being surrounded by trees that you can't just will into existence. It's constructed by years of the earth simply being the earth. 🌲🌿🌱

A: Tricky question! My only fear about saying I'm SFW is mentioning a game or other content that is "NSFW" or geared towards an 18+ crowd that I've molded into a particular context (i.e Ren Hana!). Maybe not safe for regressors??? I'm not sure! I'll make sure to tag the posts as such tho! Blocking me may work best for you! I understand ^^
