Hot topic, but as a black Sinners fan, the amount of hate I see regarding other black fans writing/fixating on Remmick is wild, and it gives chronically online. If you hate that black writers are writing for Remmick so much how about you interact with other pairings from the Fandom or contribute to diversing the fanfic genre instead of complaining on tumblr and filling the Remmick x reader tag with nothing but complaints.

I get it. Seeing the white villain/anti villian in a film made for the black community getting more attention than the black characters itself is frustrating. Believe me, I know. I UNDERSTAND. I also understand the frustration when it comes to non-black writers making some.....concerning fanfics. But that does not give you any right to bash black writers(or any writer who understands the authentic nature of Sinners) for writing for Remmick. This isn't the first time this has happened, guys. Please. This fandom isn't even 3 months old yet. It can't go up in flames already.

...I usually don't rant about fandom stuff, but I have a thought that I need to get outta my head for a sec:

Guys, it's okay if people like Remmick. To reduce his character to Evil Racist White Man™ is a disservice to the complex themes of the movie (As is reducing his character to being a sweet innocent sunshine boi who did nothing wrong™.)

I keep scrolling through the tags and seeing people complain about him getting so much attention--even going so far as to accuse those people of being typical white women who invade black spaces and have hijacked the movie to write their dark romance smut fics with him.

Except...that's not the case at all. A goooooood chunk of the Remmick simps are POC. (Go look at Tiktok, my gooooodddd). The reason he's getting so much attention is just typical fandom logic that you can apply to any other fandom of your choice:

1. He's written to be a sympathetic, complex villain. (There's a reason the director wrote him as Irish versus any other white European)

2. He's attractive.

3. He's a vampire--and everyone and their mother is attracted to monsters on this hellsite.

Bottom line, no one should be shaming anyone for liking a character. Well...unless they're the Klan...but that's different. I don't really see anyone shipping Bert or Joan with anyone, sooooo 🤷🏿‍♀️

We're all adults here! Just use that block button on all those Remmick x Reader fics and move on. (Or even better, make some Vampire!Stack fics 👌🏿 Be the change you wish to see in the world!).

On a more positive note, I'm glad that this movie has got people finding new appreciation for both African American and Irish culture! It's been heartwarming to see!

Hot take, but I LOVE when people write Remmick with his soft side. Yeah, he is a vampire that is more monster than man, but I just love reading fanfics when he is genuinely soft and in love with the reader/oc. It gives him another layer of his character. A monster, I mean man, who has MANY faults. And I mean MANY faults, but he can still love. It's cringe, i know, but it shows the complexity in his character in fanfics. He CAN be loving, or sweet, or doting, or caring. He just chooses not to. It's not in his nature to be so....human. What wolf wants to concern itself with the desires of sheep? It's prey?

You know, with the uprising of certain.......writers writing klan!reader for a BLACK MOVIE with BLACK CHARACTERS in a time where yk....the kkk was um....idk doing monsterous things to black people. I'm sad that I'm not too surprised. Cuz....what do you mean you are simping for Bert....A KLAN MEMBER?! Sinners was a breathtaking movie, with historical and spiritual meaning to it, and (some)🤚🏻 writers are completely contradicting the whole meaning behind this movie by writing about things and about people that killed THOUSANDS of black people and putting the word "smut" behind it....

I was thinking of writing for Sinners but after this I'm not too sure. Because of course horny teenagers(and adults) want to make a movie that is dedicated to black history,culture, trauma, and violence, our people had to go through simply just "smut." Is that all our trauma too non poc? Just smut? Just something they can get a few likes on?

i don't know how to say this without sounding like i'm undermining fanfiction but it has been so sad to see sinners turn into a smut fest. i've seen time and time again how writers take source material and expand on it and its themes so beautifully but i've been so disappointed to see such an ambitious movie, especially regarding religion, be turned into straight up p0rn. i understand all the reasons why the existence of smut is good but i guess it's just how abundant it is and how much it's disregarding what makes the story so compelling that's upsetting.

i suppose i'm only hoping smut isn't the only way in which people are engaging with this movie post watching it since in a film like this it would definitely feel like a disservice to both the narrative itself and everyone that worked on it. i understand earlier into its release the response was much more nuanced but it seems as more and more people watch it it has just turned into the story and one of its leads being sexualized.

101 wishes technique

Time ago, I think it was in 2017, I came across this manifestation method on youtube, I just looked for it now and I can’t find any media that talks about it for some reason so I’ll just have to rely on memory and personal modifications.

edit: omg I found it but it’s in italian > video > there are some differences in the method but anyway.

1. Take whatever journal you have, or buy one

When I knew about this method I used a small sized journal so that I could take it with me everywhere and hide it easily if you’re a closeted manifestor like me. You can first type in your notes app, but then you’ll have to write down the end thing on a journal.

2. Think about 101 things you want to manifest and write them down as a list, starting the phrase with “I want”

Example: n1- I want 1.000.000€ in my credit card, n2- I want a red pony, n3- I want to have super speed, etc…

A hundred-one things may seem a lot and they probably are, but you can think about literally anything, big or small, even just a random drive in mcdonalds from mom, or a castle in transylvania, and I came across some accounts on here that made posts of “what to manifest for fun” on various topics, such as supernatural, beauty wise, academic, and so on.

3. Read it all over every morning right after you wake up, or every night right before going to sleep

I used to read it at night before falling asleep so that I could detach better from it, but you do you

4. Just wait for da magic to happen

I remember that the man in the video said that, after a thing manifests, you can substitute it with a new wish.

“Rules”

you can do whatever you want of course, loa has no limits, these are just come of the rules i found in the video

- Start each wish with “I want” (not “I wish” or “I would like”, be firm)

- Avoid negative words (no, don’t, un, less, immune, etc)

- Maximum 14 words for each wish (it’s the max time you would have to whisper something in a breath)

- Avoid diminutives (“I want a little house at the beach” > you might find a little barbie house lmao)

- GO CRAZY with the wishes, write seemingly impossible desires, write down everything you ever wished for, they will become reality even faster

Before any little kid attacks me for putting rules over manifestation I’ll clear my throat one time and say “DO WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT” and don’t limit yourself. Those “rules” are just the ones said in the video, and I use them basically for fun, because if you affirm anything against those “rules” you will still get your desired outcome because you’re a god and gods can do whatever the fuck they want without limit, so just sit and relax.

You can see results instantly, some people have received some of their manifestation on the same day, while others took more time, but it all comes down to your assumptions.

This is kind of a Law of Attraction thingy, because you just have to write down your desires, read them every day, and then detach. I hope you don’t hate me for speaking about something non-loassumption, I hope you still love me for who I am.
