Hi could I request a one shot where Tommy Shelbys teenage daughter doesnât come home and he finds her out drunk with a guy Thank youuu
A/N: AAAAAH, this took me so long to respond to. I had such a bad case of writers block, that I haven't written anything since June. Also I'm about to move out in a few days and I should be really stressed, but writing this request was SO much fun, I had to write this as soon as the idea popped up in my mind. Also I wrote this on my tablet, so please excuse the paragraphs etc. Last but not least: I was in need of some soft!Tommy tbh when this came to my mind. I hope you like it, sweetheart!
Characters: Tommy Shelby x shelby!daughter, John Shelby and a surprise character 8D
Warnings: none, maybe protective dad Tommy
The sound of Tommys shoes on the expensive floor synced with the ticking of the large clock as he walked back and forth in the hallway.
It was far past the time you had promised him to come home and he was pissed. You usually werenât the type to break a promise, especially when it was a promise to your loving but strict father.
Normally he would have send one of his men to follow you â or as you liked to say, spy on you â but you had begged him for weeks to just let you spend one night on your own with your girl friends.
âWhat could be the worst to happen, Tommy?â Tommys eyebrows raised in confusion. âI could list you at least twelve scenarios, Polly.â His aunt rolled her eyes in annoyance as she set a cup of tea in front of her nephew. âSheâs a young woman, Tom. You canât keep her locked up from the dangerous world forever.â, she added with a mocking tone, blowing her steaming tea.
âWhy again did I ask you for help?â âBecause I basically raised you lot and you somehow turned out okay.â To this Tommy grinned, thinking back to his own youth and childhood.
âSheâs a smart girl, Tommy. Sheâll be allright.â
His head shot up when the front door opened, only to reveal his brother John.
âAny sign of Y/N?â, Tommy asked immediately, ignoring the way his brother tried to catch his breath. âJameson saw her in a pub down the road of his bakery.â Not waiting for him to finish speaking, Tommy rushed past his bother to get to his car and to the pub.
When he arrived, he didnât mind parking his car correctly. Tommy was more than pissed, he was furious and ready to raise hell.
The people in front of the pub parted automatically to create a path for Tommy and John as the first one stormed through the door, taking several steps down at once to the taproom.
It didnât took him long to find his daughter. Just like your mother you had a special aura around you, which naturally made you the center of any room you stepped in without trying. You sat at a table in the corner of the bar, the
Tommy didnât knew why he immediately stopped when he saw you. A few seconds ago he was about to burn the whole damn pub down and You hadnât noticed him yet, your eyes intently fixed on the boy next to you. He held your hand and softly brushed a strand of hair behind your ear, which made your cheeks blush. Your nose crinkled slightly as you laughed in response to something the boy said, burying your face in the crook of his neck.
Tommy was suddenly painfully aware that you werenât his little girl anymore. It seemed like yesterday, when the nurse laid your tiny frame into his arms and somehow, overnight you grew into the beautiful young woman in front of him.
He felt a slight pain in his heart as he watched his daughter in the arms of another man.
After what seemed like hours, Tommy found his composure again and started walking towards your table. This time it didnât take you long to notice him and you frantically tried to bring as much space between the frozen boy and you as possible.
You desperately tried to find something to say, but your words were stuck in your throat from fearing your fathers anger.
âGood to see you, Bonnie.â Tommy said with a now neutral expression, as he noticed who the boy was. Thinking back, he now understood what Ada meant when she told him about the way the Gold boy and you looked at each other. He didnât see it, because you were basically still a child, right?
From the frightened gypsy boy, his eyes shifted to you, the apple of his eyes.
As you looked up at him with your big, round eyes, Tommy sighed and looked at Bonnie.
âBring her back in an hour. Family dinnerâs on sunday, be early so we can have a chat.â
Tommy noticed the way your whole face lightened up to his words and the corners of your lips rose into a smile.
âThank you.â, you murmured, slightly embarassed, but still thankful.
âCourse, sweetheart.â Tommy said and leaned down towards you to kiss your forehead. âRemember to aim for the eyes if he tries anything.â, he added in a murmur, earning a eyeroll from his daughter.
âAn hour.â Your father stated once again, before turning on his heel and leaving the bar.
âYouâre a softie, Tommy.â John, who was sileng until now, smirked as he left the bar behind his older brother.
In response the dark-haired man shrugged, lighting a cigarette between his lips. âSheâs a smart girl. Sheâll be alright.â Tommy said, repeating the words from his aunt. âAlso, I'll have a reason to shoot the boy when he breaks her heart.â

I Missed you
Disclaimer: This is my first time writing for the Peaky Blinders. Iâve only seen 4 seasons. And only some scenes from season 4. Also might make a part two.
Pairing: Micheal Gray
Warnings: Swearing
Summary: You and Henry knew each other since you were kids, then you started dating. One day you were on the way to his house to tell him you were pregnant. But he wasnât there.
Masterlist
You and Henry have always been close when you guys were younger. But then puberty hit you like a train and you started dating him. He was your first everything. You loved him and he loved you. Or so you thought.
You went to his to tell you were pregnant. You were happy and nervous. You didnât know how Henry would react to this news. You hoped heâd be as happy as you.
Once you were at his house you were surprised to find he had left and didnât tell you. You asked his âmotherâ and she said that he went to go find his real mom. She didnât tell you were he went.
After that you went home to go cry into your pillow. You thought heâd at least write but a month later on your eighteenth birthday you havenât received one.
You were 4 months pregnant and told your parents about the baby which turned out to be twins.
A boy and a girl.
Your parents forced you to marry a guy thatâs 30 and his name was Jerry. You didnât like him that much but it could have been worse.
Now 2 years later you being 20 and your kids being almost 2 years old. Your marriage hasnât been going well. He treated you like crap but luckily he barely talked to the kids.
He had been sent to Birmingham for his job and you were going with him. You werenât complain though you hated your village and couldnât wait to leave.
You had went to go look for a job and your husband didnât like the sound of that. He said. âIâm the man of the house and I should be providing for youâ, which you only rolled your eyes at. You really didnât care what he thought. You had seen a job as secretary for someone named Thomas Shelby or someone who worked for him. He seemed very powerful and dangerous. You didnât care you just wanted to make money and provide for your kids.
You sat down on one of the chairs with your hands folded after you had the interview with Mr. Shelby. God you hoped you got the job you didnât make impresssion. But hopefully it was good enough.
âY/n,â She heard someone call her name but the voice didnât sound like Mr. Shelbys. She looked up and her jaw dropped.
âH-Henry,â you gasped as you saw the father of your children here. God he looked so much different. His hair the way he dressed. Hell even the way he walked towards you was different. He was radiating confidence.
âItâs actually Michael now,â He corrected with a smile on his face. âI found my birth motherâ
âYes I know I heard it from someone else,â You snapped at him anger in the pit of your stomach. God you missed him but you hated him as well. He opened his mouth to say something but he caught the ring on your finger.
âYouâre married,â He said with a shocked look on his face. You rolled your eyes and stood up with your arms crossed around your chest.
âNot by choice,â you snapped at him a second time. Before he could say something a cough from behind you. You turned around to see Thomas Shelby standing there.
âGood you two met,â Thomas said while rubbing his jaw. âMichael meet your secretaryâ
You let an annoyed sigh out. Of cours it had to be him you were working for. You donât know how you can see him every day. Or run into him with your kids.
âUnless you guys donât want thatâ, Thomas said as he had a confused look on his face. You nodded before leaving the building with tears running down your face.
You didnât know what to do.
~~~~~
You looked down at the food you were making as you thought about everything. Michael. You should tell him. One side of your brain said and the other said he left you donât tell him. You looked up at the kitchen table and saw your two kids. You smiled at Alexandra and Henry were drawing. You named your son after his father even though you hated him he gave you the two things that kept you going. And Alexandra was named after your grandmother who died a few years back.
Your husband wasnât here though probably at the pub getting drunk and having sex with someone. A knock on your door snapped you out of your gaze. You dusted off your apron and went to go open the door. When you opened the door you saw Michael standing there.
âHen- Michael,â You almost said Henry which would have been bad since your son would have come running. âWhat are you doing here,â You said looking at the ground not meeting his beautiful eyes.
âI wanted to talk to you,â Michael smiled at you. âIs your husband home,â He asked as there was jealousy laced in his voice you rolled his eyes.
âHeâs probably at the pub,â You clarified annoyance evident in your voice.
âWell can I come in,â Michael asked after a few second of staring at each other. Before you could decline you heard the kids running up to you.
âMommy,â They yelled as they hugged each of your legs with smiles in their voices. You could see the wheels turning in Michaels head as he looked at the kids in shock. You knew that he knew that they were his. They inherited his eyes and hair color.
âMommy,â Michael repeated after a few minutes of silence.
You closed the door on him wanting to avoid the confrontation or at least not argue in front of your kids. You hoped he would knock on the door again as you tried to catch your breath.
You felt tugs on your legs and saw the twins looking up at you with smiles on their faces. âYou okay mommy,â Henry asked. Even though he was almost two he was very protective of you.
âIâm fine sweet heart,â You said with a smile on your face as you bent down to pick them up. âJust a friend from the pasts,â you told them as they played with the necklace on your neck. The necklace you received from Michael on your sixteenth birthday. âCome on dinners almost done,â you said as you carried them to the kitchen.
~~~~~
On his way to his mothers house, Michael couldnât help but feel bad that he had left when you were pregnant. He hadnât contacted you because he didnât want you to get hurt and now he doesnât know what to do. As he reaches the door of his mothers house he could hear everyone talking and forgotten that they had a family meeting tonight to talk business.
As he walked in the room he could feel everyoneâs eyes on him.
âTook you long enough,â Arthur broke the silence annoyance laced his voice. Michael rolled his eyes going to take a seat next to his mother. Who gave him a smile.
âGood now that everyoneâs here we can get started,â Tommy coughed and started talking.
Even though it was rude but Michael ignored his cousin as his thoughts were resirved for you and his children he didnât know he had. He didnât know what to do and was kind of scared of being a father.
âMichael,â Polly snapped her son out of his daze he lifted his head to meet everyone staring at him. âYou okay,â She asked concerned for her son.
âWas it your hot new secretary,â John smirked at his cousin hearing from Tommy about the confritation between you and Michael. Esme smacked his arm which John looked at her with a confused look on his face. âWhatâ
Michael rolled his eye âNope just a bit tired,â He lied trying not to get yelled at by his mom.
âMichael are you lying,â Polly asked her son and wondered why he was lying to her. Everyone was now invested in Michael.
âFine she was just someone from my past,â Michael muttered. âAnd we were in love,â were he was still in love with you. With everything you did the color of your eyes the way you smiled and the little things you did.
âOhh now itâs getting interesting,â Arthur shouted with a smirk on his face. Michael rolled his eyes and slightly nervous.
âI was with her when I was still Henry and the day I left I didnât tell her and didnât contact her. I did it to protect her from all of this,â Michael explained to his family. âBut figures when I left she was pregnant,â He admitted a sigh coming out of his lips.
Everyone started at him in shock and nothing was said for a few minutes.
âDoes this mean what I think it means,â Polly asked mad at her son but excited to have some grand children. Michael nodded.
âMy god first Charolette then your secretaryâ, Arthur grumbled surprised at the turn of events.
âSo what are you going to do,â Tommy asked letting the smoke out of his mouth looking at Michael. Before Michael could even get a word out Polly interrupted him.
âHeâs going to apologize to her,â Polly snapped hoping her son would do the right thing.
âDonât worry mom I will,â Something inside him was really happy that he was a father to not one but two kids. He hoped he would be given a chance to explain his side to you tomorrow.
~~~~~
You let a breath out as you sat your desk. Even though what happened last night you still went to work. Luckily for you Michael hasnât been in yet. You looked down at the drawing you have been working on of your two kids. As you were drawing a snapping sound broke you out of your daze. You looked up at Michael with a nervous look on your face.
âWe need to talk,â His voice was laced with determination and before you could decline he was pulling you up towards his office and closed his door behind him. You let a sigh out as he walked towards you.
âWhat do you want,â You tried to sound confident but it all came out in a whisper.
âYou know what I want,â His voice was filled with annoyance which made you roll your eyes why does he have to be angry.
âTheyâre not yours,â You tried to lie your self out this but it didnât work as Michael let a puff of his cigarette with a scoff.
âWhy are you lying to me,â He snapped at you.
âWell maybe itâs because you think you have a right to be in their lives after you left,â You shouted as you got up. âYou left me and doing so left me broken with two kids to raise as well,â you let out a sob as you looked at the ground tears falling out of your eyes.
âLove,â Michael began to say as he got up. âI know your mad I didnât contact you because I didnât want you to get hurt,â His hands came up to your cheek to wipe a tear away. âAnd I know youâre married but I want to try to be in my kids lifeâ, his other hand came up to your cheek and leaned his head against your forehead. âPlease,â He whispered. He leant down to kiss you and you didnât know what to do and it felt right so you kissed him back.
You let out a breath before you nodded at him after you pulled back. He didnât know that you had decided to split from your husband last night who came in drunk and almost hit the kids but luckily you got them upstairs before you shouted at him to get out. He grabbed your arm so hard it left a mark.
âI missed you,â you muttered. He smiled down at you.
âI missed you to Love,â He gat your fore head a kiss.
Michael got a piece of paper and wrote something down you looked at him confused.
âThis is my address well my moms address but when ever your ready for them to come and meet me come here,â He explained with a smile on his face. You nodded with a little smile on your face.
~~~~~
That night came a few days later. When you decided this is when your kids asked where your husband or soon to be ex husband was. And you told them that he wonât be around for a while. They werenât mad or sad since they hadnât gotten to know them. But you wanted them to know their father. So you got dressed up and the kids dressed up and went to the address.
âWhere are we going mummy,â Alexandra asked you as you put them down at the door step of the house.
âWell we are going to meet up with a friend of mine,â You explained as you knocked on the door. It took a few minutes before Michael opened the door and when he saw you smiled.
âY/n,â He let out a sigh happy to see the kids and you as well. âCome on inâ
You led Henry and Alexandra in the house it seemed really cozy house and you liked it. He lead you to a table and you sat down.
âHenry Alex, this is Michael your father,â You introduced them. You knew it was blunt but you wanted to be honest with your kids and they looked shocked.
âBut I thought Jerry was,â Henry asked with a confused look on his face you sat him down explained some of it since he was even two yet while Alexandra went to Michael.
âItâs nice to meet you,â Alexandra politely said as she held her little hand to shake Michaels. He was so happy that this interaction was going good.
âItâs nice to meet you as well,â He shook her hand.
As everyone got to talking it took a few minutes before Henry talked to Michael since he just found he was his dad. But they talked and they had a lot in common. While Alexandra kept babbling in Michaels ear about a doll she had just got as she sat on his lap. He didnât mind he thought it was adorable. But then four women came into the house.
You assumed it was his mom and possibly his cousins.
âOh we didnât know you had company,â Ada said with giggle.
âIs this who I think it is Michaelâ, Polly said with a smile on her face. Michael nodded and you assumed that was his mom. You got up to shake her hand and introduce yourself.
âItâs nice to meet you Ms. Grayâ, You politely said as you hoped she wouldnât be mad. She pulled you to a hug as the three girls sat down on the couch.
âYou can call me Pollyâ

*gif not mine
â˘â˘â˘
Two years into your relationship, Isaiah proposed to you in such a romantic way. Everything was perfect, your life was falling into place finally, and the wedding was extravagant. So why should you be worried about the future?
A few months following your wedding night, Polly confirmed that you were pregnant. You were so excited, the idea of having a child with the man you love and were so happy to spend the rest of your life with.
But, Isaiah wasnât ready for some reason.
âHey, how was work?â You ask as he steps inside your home, setting his things by the door.
âStressful. But Iâm happy to be home. Why did you meet with Polly when you came to visit?â He wonders. Your heart begins to race and a small smile spreads across your lips.
âIâm pregnant.â Within seconds, his expression drops and he steps away from you.
âWhat?â Your smile disappears and you try to move closer to him, but he continues moving back, his hands rubbing his face stressfully.
âI-Iâm pregnant, Isaiah. Polly told me that she suspected something and confirmed it-â
âWell get rid of it.â You are surprised at his response.
âExcuse me? Why?â
âBecause Iâm not ready for kids yet!â

*gif not mine
â˘â˘â˘
âWhat did Finn say when you told him you couldnât come out tonight?â You ask, looking up at Isaiah from laying on his chest. He chuckles softly and his hand comes up to play with your hair.
âHe was curious because I never turn down a night out at the pub.â
âYouâve never turned down a night out with him? Or with anyone? Or just yourself? Shocking.â
âYeah, yeah, youâre special, donât push it.â A giggle bubbles in your throat and you sit up, his hand falling to your butt.
âSeriously. I appreciate you giving up a night to spend with me.â
âYouâre my girlfriend,â he murmurs quietly. âIf you ask to spend a night together, then Iâm gonna do it. Plus, staying in and fucking you is so much better than having a drink.â Your cheeks heat up at the comment and you fall back onto your side, this time turned away from Isaiah.
âOh come on! Donât go shy on me, love!â
âHush. I love you.â
âLove you too, darling.â He presses a few kisses to your neck before turning you over and pulling you on top of him.
âCare to go for another round?â He cheekily asks, that signature smirk on his lips. You canât say no, obviously, and he flips you back over onto your back within seconds.

such amazing writing âĄ

requested by no one, but once again @nemesis729 suggested an amazing scenario and wanted me to write a fifth part of this series, so here it is! I really hope you all like this â¨đťđ
pairings: Thomas Shelby x twin sister!reader, Alfie Solomons x Shelby!wife!reader
warnings: angst. There might be some grammatical errors since English is not my first language
Thomas felt worthless after you showed that you were determined to cut off all the threads that bound you to the Shelby clan
After such a long time, he'd understood that he'd done a mistake, leaving you for Graceâ who in the end turned out to be the âbad guyâ
He wanted to do something, he wanted to redeem himself in front of your eyes without excessively interfering with your life
So, he wrote you a letter. And this time it was a long letter, full of sadness and grief
He knew he'd done everything by himself, so he began writing his letter like this:
âMy dear y/n, I'm writing you this letter hoping you'll read it, someday. I did an unforgivable mistake by estranging you from the family, and I know that neither of us is going to forget what I've done in the past years. Everyone was against my decision, and I understood that they were right way later than I was supposed to. Grace is not who I thought she was, so you were right on that. Something has happened within me, and I need to atone for my faultsââ
After spending hours writing, Thomas carefully closed the letter in a beige-colored envelope, then personally went to your house and left it just before the door
He hid behind a bush from which he could see the house clearly, and waited for you to come retrieve the mail
Not much later, you opened your house's door holding what seemed to be a crying newborn baby in your arms
Almost eight months had passed from Samuel's birthday. Were you already pregnant then? And was the baby a male or a female?
It was indeed a female, born just a few weeks prior to the event we were recounting, and you and Alfie had decided to name her Winifred
Anyhow, you instantly saw Thomas' letter and recognized his handwriting
You reluctantly took the envelope in your hands, careful not to drop Winifred, and walked back into your house
After assuring himself that you were far enough to not see him, Thomas walked to one of the living room's windows (he somehow knew you would have gone there) and cautiously overlooked your actions
You sat on a green-colored armchair and put the letter beside you, still holding Winifred close to your chest
âAnd he expects me to read this?! He wants forgiveness, after what he's done? Never.â
And so you shred the envelope to pieces and threw it in the crackling flame of the fireplace
Your twin brother looked down, feeling disappointed and hopeless, and walked to his car, which he had parked far away
The long walk made him think about what he'd lost because of his own selfishness and irrationality, because of his desire to become as close to a king as he could be
He'd lost what he cared for the most, the person who had helped him solve every problem of his, who had stayed with him through thick and thin, who had always fought alongside him, against what the world held for them both
He realized way too late that his twin sister, y/n Shelby, had been hurt so much that her scars would have never healed completely
He realized way too late that his twin sister had found complete happiness in the arms of someone who gave her everything, who always helped her and never left her behind, unlike him
Thomas Shelby had completely lost his twin sister
He knew he would have never been the same person that he was before the war, just like you would never have been the same girl who played in the mud by the cut and loved talking with other people
Nevertheless, you once knew that your brother was by your side, that he would have been there forever
But now, because of Grace Burgess, both you and Thomas had lost an essential part of your life
Even though you had found yourself in the arms of Alfie Solomons, the man you went on to marry and build a family with, you always felt an immense void in your heart which had been left by Thomas' betrayal
You weren't willing to get hurt again, you wanted to live as peacefully as you could (even though it wasn't actually possible) and care for family
You had found the courage to start again, away from everything and everyone you knew, and Thomas wasn't going to take it away. Not now, not in a thousand years.
âOh dear brother, my dear Tommy, you'll never read this letter because I don't have the courage to enclose it in an envelope and send it to you. You need to know that I'll always love you, but you need to understand what you've done even though it hurts. Just think about what you've done to me- you're just feeling a minuscule part of what I felt. I sincerely hope you will gain your senses before it's too late, before you do something reckless (which you've certainly already done) and get hurt, or worse. Even though you hurt Alfie, my husband, he won't be against you passing by our residence for lunch and stay with our children, play with them for a while. A lot of time has passed, so much time since we've properly rode horses around Watery Lane and talked. I hope you're living a happy life, that our siblings and aunt Pol are doing well and that Small Heath is like I remember. I will never forget you, brother. Me and you against the world, remember?â â

requested by no one, but @nemesis729 suggested me to write a fourth part of the series and gave me the idea for the scenario so thank you! I hope you all like this, even though it seems more like a one-shot than a headcanon â¨đťđ
pairings: Thomas Shelby x twin sister!reader, Shelby family x Shelby!reader, Alfie Solomons x Shelby!wife!reader
warnings: some cursing, and some angst. There might be some grammatical errors since English is not my first language
Distancing yourself from Thomas had such a heavy toll on you
You didn't know you would have felt that way, especially when your twin was in the wrong
A few weeks after Samuel's birthday party, Polly reached out to you with a letter saying that Thomas was doing terribly bad
âYour brother is feeling down, y/n, and it doesn't seem like he's going to recover any time soon. Even after discovering that Grace was carrying his child, his joy was soon covered up by guilt. I never thought I would say this, but I need you to talk to him. And I'm sorry for what we all caused to you, you were right about everything. Love, your aunt Pollyâ
You talked to Alfie about it, asked him for advice so that you wouldn't have made a big mistake
Although he and your brother lowkey hated each other, he advised you to go see him since he was part of your family
And so you took your car, left Alfie and Samuel at your house and drove to the cut, where Polly had told you Tommy would have certainly been
When you arrived there, you immediately started looking for your brother
You found him sitting alone, smoking a cigarette
âUh, Thomas?â
âWhat-who- y/n?â
âIt's meâ
âDid aunt Pol ask you to come?â
âYes. If it had been me, I would have stayed at my house. Thank her, and Alfieâ
âWhat did she tell you?â
âShe said that you weren't doing well. That you feel guilt. Finally, I must sayâ
âI'm sorry, y/n. I-I lost you, I lost the most precious thing in the world after, well, Graceâ
âIt's always that bloody woman, Tom. Don't you understand? I don't know anything about the dynamics of your relationship, but I know that she's no good for you. And she never has beenâ
âI-I know, but, just accept my fuckin' apologies, y/n! I love Grace, you don't know her like I doâ
âYou're right, Tom. But I know you. And I know that you won't get anything good from this- your love story with Graceâ
Your twin didn't say anything. He just kept looking at the horizon, clearly in conflict with his own self.
You observed his movements: his sad eyes, his exhausted expression, and obvious stress couldn't deceive you. He really didn't know what to do
âTom, if you need to talk to me, then fuckin' talkâ
He wasn't surprised by your anger (obviously). He had to say something to you sooner or later, that's why you came to him for, so he turned his head to you and talked
âListen, what Pol said was right. I made such a big mistake- estranging you from the family, and I've already told you that. I saw the full picture just now, after Samuel's birthday, that you didn't do anything wrong. You just wanted to protect me, you just said the truthâ
You sarcastically clapped your hands a few times, and chuckled
âBravo, Thomas. Bravo. I'm surprised it took you three bloody years to understand that! Ugh- I knew I didn't have to come, you always say the same things over and over and pretend that you know and understand everything! You know what? You don't! I'm tired, I'm so tired by all this- what you did, for that woman. And she's pregnant now! She's just using you, and you love her too much to see thatâ
Your brother just looked at you, waiting for your discourse to end.
âI don't want to reunite with you, and then get treated the same way ! I'm not your toy, Thomas. I'm not someone you can use, that you can manipulate to your liking. I'm my own person, I do whatever the hell I want, and the only one who understands it is Alfie fuckin' Solomons- my husband, and he never left me alone, for anything in the world. Unlike you, my twin brother, the one I always relied on, who threw me away like I was fuckin' garbage!â
âAre you done?â
âWhat?â
âI said, are you done? I said I'm sorry, one too many times, and you still have not forgiven me! What else can I do?â
âNothing, Tom. Nothing. I'll go back to my house now, and don't fucking come to me if you need a shoulder to cry on- because I won't be that person ever again. You're such an egoistic man, Thomas. I hope you sort out your ideas correctly before it's too lateâ
And with those words, you officially walked out of your twin's life.
You had finally taken your revenge, for what he'd done to you, for being too stubborn to see the truth that you'd always tried to show him
Deep down, you wanted him to regain his senses and sincerely apologize
But you knew that that moment wouldn't have come any sooner
Now, Thomas was the one with with a broken heart. He would have understood the pain you went and were still going through, even if it was in a much smaller measure.
Having set things straight with your brother, you would have finally lived a happy life, like he had for the past three years, and that was everything you wanted

Thomas never asked to see you again, he knew that you didn't want to do anything with him in that moment, but he sent you letters once in a while
However, those letters always said the same thing
âI hope you know that I deeply regret what I've doneâ
âI hope you'll come to my house sometimes. Grace would be very happy to see youâ
Apart from sending letters, he didn't even try to do anything else.
After all, he was a busy man, and he could not be bothered to rekindle his relationship with you, his twin sister.
Alfie tried to talk some sense into you, tried to convince you to try and go again to the Shelby house. But his efforts were useless.
âYou should talk to Thomasâ
âNo.â
âBut you said you would have at least considered the idea to go see himâ
âI considered it, I didn't say I would do it. He's not a man who deserves my forgiveness, Al, even though he's my brotherâ
âAll right, then. We won't talk about this again. Let's take a walk with Cyril and Samuel, along the seashoreâ
âI really need some fresh airâ
Your husband persisted on trying to comfort you, distracting you from the things that gave you hurtful memories and nostalgia of the time past.
And you were so grateful to him, for what he'd done.
In January, 1922, Samuel's first birthday came. You and Alfie decided to throw a little party, and invited Thomas as a kindness.
On that day, the whole Shelby clan showed up at your house
You were surprised, but utterly disappointed at the same time
How convenient was for them to show up at my house, at the Solomons residence, at the house of a possible partner, after almost three years of totally ignoring you.
Not to mention, Grace was there. And you were furious.
Nevertheless, you had to make a good impression and act like you didn't care about it all.
âWelcome to my house, Pol, John, Arthur, Ada, Thomas and Graceâ
âThis is your house, uh? You're Alfie Solomons' concubine ?â
âI'll let you know, Mrs.Shelby, that I'm Alfie's only wife and that he's more of a man that your husband will ever beâ
âLet's spend a nice night together, uh? This is my nephew's birthday and I want to see him for the first time!â
âYeah, let's all go see the birthday boy Adaâ
Grace kept having a going with you, not acknowledging the fact that she was in your house and that she had to respect both you and your husband
Alfie had started getting annoyed by what was happening, especially because no one could ever disrespect his wife
Surprisingly, Ada and aunt Polly were the ones to keep peace between you, Grace and Tom
âCan you at least try being nice?â
âThis is the first time in three years that we see y/n. Don't make a sceneâ
Even though it felt like eternity (because of the Shelby drama happening in front of your eyes), Samuel's birthday soon came to an end and you and Alfie were free of your obnoxious guests
âIt went well, didn't it?â
âAbsolutely, love. I could have never been happier to see my family again! Ugh, that Grace drives me nuts!â
âListen, Beth will take care of Samuel while you and me go drink some gin. All right? You seem like you need to rest, and talk about what happenedâ
âI'd rather not talk about my bloody betraying family, but I accept the ginâ
That night, after Thomas didn't try to talk with you, not even once, you understood who was the person you could have always relied on and cared for
It wasn't Ada, who had talked with you for a while to catch up with the latest events, nor Polly, Arthur or John
It was the man who had mended the cracks in your heart, the man who had put an end to your sufferings by loving you like no one else did, the man who made you forget about those awful things your dear twin brother Thomas had done to you
That man was Alfie Solomons, your husband, your best friend, your one and only

warnings: some cursing. There might be some grammatical errors since English is not my first language
REQUESTS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN
You and Alfie got married not much time after meeting each other
âWe should get marriedâ
âUh?â
âI'm talking about marriage, y/n. What do ya say?â
âI say- I say it would be an honor for me to become your wife, Alâ
It felt like the right thing to do. You heart had been broken by your twin, who was the most important person in your life, and Alfie had mended those cracks impeccably
âLet's go, love. You can't stay inside, you should take a walk.â
âWhy should I? There's no need toâ
âI'll buy you a pork pie. The one you love so muchâ
âAll right, I'm comingâ
Still, you felt sad because your brother never reached out to you. Never. Did he forget about the time you spent comforting each other because of the horrible nightmares you had? Did he forget the time you spent together, never leaving each other's side?
News came that the Peaky Blinders had conquered a good part of Birmingham, but something or someone got in the way so they had to slow down their campaign
You heard that Thomas had gotten married to Grace, much to your disappointment, and that the woman was expecting a child
No one sent you a letter. No one sent you an invite. Nothing
What did you do to deserve that? You always told the truth, you just wanted to keep your brother away from people that could have hurt him
It surprised you that neither of your siblings didn't care about your well-being
Ada had had a child with Freddie Thorne, who died in 1921. Again, you weren't told anything
You felt abandoned, by a family who you dearly loved and cared for. You tried to reach out to them yourself, lots of times, with letters or telegrams, but you never got an answer
Once, you even drove to Small Heath. They didn't make you walk into the Garrison, where your siblings surely were. So you cut all the threads that bound you to the Shelby family. For good.
But you had a new life now, a happy life. With Alfie Solomons, your husband. And you couldn't be happier.
The two of you had a child in early 1921, a boy. You named him Samuel, and his birth gave you the opportunity to really forget about your family and finally move on.
âHe looks just like you, y/nâ
âNo, Al. He's got your lips, your eyebrows and your eye shape, amongst other things. He's a perfect mix of us twoâ
âYeah, you're right. And Cyril will be his bodyguardâ
âSure thing, loveâ
Your idyll soon came to an end, after your brother asked to see you after meeting Alfie on unrelated business
He announced the whole encounter with a letter, a very short one
âDear sister, Dear y/n. I want to apologize for what I've done, for what I've caused to you. Meet me at the cut, this saturday at eight in the eveningâ
You didn't want to go, at first, but Alfie told you that you should have at least set things straight with Thomas and told him what you really thought
After some time spent thinking, you decided to go, but you didn't feel safe going alone so you let Alfie come with you and left Samuel to the care of Beth, the nanny.
As soon as you arrived, you saw that your twin was in company of aunt Pol, and Grace was nowhere to be seen.
âWhat the fuck do you want, Thomas?â
âI want to apologize. Just like I wrote in the letterâ
âSo you acknowledge the fact that you're in the bloody wrong after three years and you expect me to forgive you? You fuckin' went crazy, Tomâ
âI- I'm sorry. I just- I left you, I let the whole family leave you just because I didn't want to feel in the wrong. Ada wanted you to be Karl's godmother, you know? And I forbid her to send you a letter. I'm so sorry, y/n. I hope you forgive me one dayâ
âYou think I'll fuckin' forgive you? I won't. Not now, not so suddenly, brother. You scattered my whole being into pieces, because of a bloody woman! Alfie helped me out, no one in our family did. We swore that we would have been by each other's side, no matter what! And look what you've done!â
âI'll wait for you, y/n. I'll waitâ
And just like that your twin walked back into your life, expecting to be welcomed with open arms. It wouldn't have been so easy, not when his arrival strangely coincided with the discovering of your marriage with Alfie
You knew what his intentions were, he was your twin brother after all
And your mind worked just like his

requested by no one, but I really hope you like this since it took a very long time to write â¨
pairings: Thomas Shelby x twin sister!reader, Shelby family x Shelby!sister!reader
warnings: some cursing. There might be some grammatical errors since English is not my first language. Set around s1. Even though I have not finished the series, I like a certain character that I mostly read about in fics, so he's mentioned too!
A/N: I had to rewrite these headcanons twice because damned Tumblr decided to glitch when I had to save the document. I'm slowly losing the will to write
Being part of the Shelby family had never been easy, at all
Especially when you're Thomas' twin sister and he's always got an eye on you
The two of you loved animals, especially horses, so you spent a lot more time together because of that
The two of you have always been very close, and Thomas has never let you down or seemed to stop caring for you
He always makes sure you're ok, but sometimes he can become very annoying and behaves more like a mother than a brother
âDo you need anything?â
âTom, it's fuckin' four in the morning and I need to get up in a couple of hours! What could I possibly need at this hour? What do you want?â
âI just heard some noises and I- I just wanted to make sure that you were aliveâ
âWe're not at the front anymore, brother. We're all right now, we're safeâ
Before there were even rumors about an incoming war, you decided to become a nurse
Therefore, you were sent to the front in 1914
A little later than you, Thomas departed too and you knew that he wouldn't have come back the same
After the war ended, you and Thomas were indeed whole other people. Your brother had seen the horrors of the war, men dying in front of him and almost dying himself. You, a nurse, had failed to save many lives and you never forgave yourself for that.
As time went by, you thought of moving away from Small Heath. You always wanted to live in a nice apartment in London with your fiancĂŠe, who had died in the somme, so you never got to achieve your dreams.
You didn't want to stay in Birmingham anymore, even though you knew that it was not safe to move around the country when the Peaky Blinders business was growing at a rapid pace. So you talked to Thomas about it
âI want to go awayâ
âWhere?â
âLondon. I've been there once, with James. A nice city, it is. We both know that Small Heath holds too many hurtful memories for me to containâ
âPlease, y/n. Stay. We-I need you. Someday, when everything is settled down and the waters are calmer, you will move to London and I'll buy you the best cottage everâ
You could have never sais no to your favorite sibling, especially when he was saying the right thing, so you decided to stay in Birmingham
As time went by, you became Thomas' right-hand woman, and officially became part of the Peaky Blinders
You liked the Garrison, you could always find people who needed someone to talk to. You loved to be their confiant.
You sometimes went out with Ada, and even lied to your family about where she went when she was really visiting Freddie Thorne.
Sometimes, you even spent time with John, Arthur and little Finn. But the relationship you had with Thomas was much more meaningful.
There were days in which you felt down, in which you remembered the war. Although Thomas hadn't even slightly recovered yet, he was always ready to talk
âD'you need to talk?â
âI heard the screams again. The screams of those poor men whose live I did not saveâ
âYou could not save them, it's not your fault. There's a big difference between do and can. Sometimes you're not able to do something, while things you can do are always an optionâ
âWow, Tommy. Your words are so deep I-you almost sound like aunt Polâ
âOh, shut it. I was trying to be comforting!â
You and your twin brother had this kind of relationship: you always made funny or sassy remarks to the other, but it helped you to ease the stress that the too much work gave you
When Thomas wasn't around, you talked to Polly about what troubles you. She was a wise woman, so you trusted her judgment.
When the whole family found out about the stolen arms cargo, you freaked out. It was not wise of your brother to hide something of that much importance from the government.
âWhat the hell were you thinking? I'm absent, and you make one hell of a mess?â
âLook, y/n, it was a-â
âA mistake, yeah! Go tell your fuckin' lies to someone else, I know how your mind works, Tom! You can't hide your plans from meâ
To top your anger, Thomas started frequenting the new bartender working at the Garrison pub. Grace. You hated her, and she didn't like you either (she knew you could have discovered her plans)
âSo, you're Thomas' sister, y/n, right?â
âI amâ
âAnd you work with him, don't you?â
âListen, I know what you want to know. I know what you want from my brother. You won't have itâ
âYou wanna bet?â
âI've never lost a bet, it's what I've done for a good part of my life, so brace yourselfâ
Thomas was so blinded by Grace's sight, that he never listened to your warnings
âTom, she's bad newsâ or âShe's hiding something, don't trust her. Everâ
So he started pushing you away, little by little
You knew that this was all Grace's fault, so you only waited for your twin to understand what he'd done and come back to you
But it never happened
Like when your fiancĂŠe died, Small Heath had stopped feeling like home, you didn't feel safe anymore. What happened there had profoundly carved marks in both your mind and heart.
And what did you do? You found comfort in another person's arms, who lived far away from Birmingham's obnoxiously toxic atmosphere
Who was said man? Alfie Solomons, and he surprisingly was the only one who never left you even when things were bad

What Happens to the Heart ⢠J. Shelby [Part One]
Pairing: John Shelby x Fem!Reader
Word count: 1,656
Warning: None
Summary: Youâre the best of friends with John.
A/n: This is in your point of view. Also, Iâm sorry is this doesnât make sense, it will eventually. And there is a memory in here, so thatâll be the italics. Overall, this is just the beginning!

To say John and I were the best of friends would be an understatement, the two of us were inseparable from the day we met; wherever he was, there was no doubt Iâd be right by him. Dangerous, or not.
Most of the time, though, folks thought we were in a relationship, something along those lines. Other times, weâd get ourselves into trouble, Polly - my mom also - wouldnât be pleased to talk us out of jail. To make it short, weâd get smacked in the back of the head by our guardians whilst on the way to Watery Lane, along with lectures on how to behave, I was even told that my actions are not ladylike. They still loved us, I know that much.
Our closeness brought me unexpected feelings for the Shelby boy, and though we told each other everything - from my first kiss to his first fuck - I would never admit how I felt towards him. Especially since he found a girl he fancies. There was no way I was going to break them up, I loved him too much to do something destructive as that.
So there I sit, awaiting his arrival at the Garrison. I couldnât even order a damn drink without him. But as minutes turned into a half hour, and that an hour, I gave up. He wasnât coming, Martha probably needed him more than I, but as a good friend, Iâm okay with that; as a secret admirer, however, I felt jealous - I just despised the thought of it - upset that heâd ditch me here.
Just as I was going to walk out, here came the handsome, blue eyed man himself. He looked to be panting.
âIâm sorry, Y/n, but Martha kept me. Sit. I have something to tell you.â He explained, hooking his arm with mine and pulling me to a secluded table. The smile he wore was one I have never seen before, so I couldnât help but follow along and sit across from him.
The news must have been too important for drinks.
He looked at me, a smile still plastered on his flawless face, one that will most definitely be stuck in my mind for days on end. John looked like a little boy, happy that he was told he had good manners and behaviour in school, whilst really, he was quite the opposite. Except the manners, he had those covered.
I rested my arms on the table and leaned forward, impatiently waiting for him to speak. âOh, get on with it John.â There is no way Iâm playing the guessing game tonight.
âMartha, sheâs with child. My child. Y/n, Iâm gonna be a father.â It felt as if heâd spoken a foreign language, one I couldnât understand but still heard. Iâm sure my expression is surprised, since he waited for me to talk. I simply couldnât.
Before he started to ask questions, I cleared my throat and threw on a forced smile. âCongratulations, John-boy. Youâre a man now, I hope you know.â He let out a playful scoff and an eye roll, making us laugh.
âIâve always been a man.â He replied, giving a smug smirk at the end. His eyes met mine for a brief moment before looking towards the shelves of liquor behind me. âI think this deserves a drink, eh?â Before I could answer him, he got up, lifted me by the arm and drug me across the nearly empty pub, and ordered us whiskey - an entire bottle to be precise.
This happened until the war broke out, boys across Europe were being sent to fight for their people, or enlisting, including John, and his two elder brothers, Arthur and Thomas. By then, Martha was pregnant with their fourth child, meaning sheâd be alone for the birth of their baby girl, or boy. And she was, but Polly, Ada, Finn, and I were present, keeping her company before and after she went into labour.
Itâs been four years since the boys left, leaving families behind, I know some wonât be returning, and it breaks my heart just thinking about it. There will be so many mothers, sisters, aunts, and wives without their men. And the ones that do return are going to be stuck with those God awful memories, nightmares.
Since they left, Iâve been the opposite of trouble, Iâd actually gone to church with Polly and her little clan, along with Martha and her children. I prayed for the boyâs safety, that included my two elder brothers and the many cousins I have. They all meant the world to me, each of them taught me something valuable, and I couldnât let the thought of them not coming home get the better of me, so I turned to God. Polly turned me to God.
And because so many unspeakable events happened in these long, devastating four years, all I wanted was my brothers home, and John. How I longed for him.
It must be pathetic to be falling this hard for your best friend - your now best friendâs husband - I hated how much I wanted him for myself. Heâs got a beautiful wife, smart and rowdy children, thereâs no way I could be that selfish. John has what he always wanted, a family of his own.
What kind of monster would try to take him away from those he cared for and loved? The question was branded into my brain and was beyond hard to ignore.
Tragedy struck when Martha fell ill, her sickness was beyond the doctors, and she was put on bed rest until it was her time to go. I couldnât face not having her around, she and I became rather close - practically sisters - in the last few years. As time went on, she died peacefully in her and Johnâs shared home. Their children were heartbroken, they were young but old enough to know what death is.
Since her funeral, Polly put me on nanny duty, knowing she didnât have time for them and the betting shop, I agreed. During the first few weeks, the children were a mess, throwing tantrums for their mother, refusing any food I cooked and bedtime. They soon got comfortable with me around more, until Polly announced she heard Germany had surrendered and all countries agreed to stop fighting until their negotiation was set.
Although I was still mourning the loss of Martha, I couldnât be anymore happy that our boys will be coming home to us. The kids were beyond the moon that their dad was returning, and so it was the same thing all over again; they were acting up again, asking for their daddy.
I promised them soon.
Which brought us here, Birmingham train station, with loads of women and children, along with relatives of the menâs families. I held Daniel at my hip, glancing up from him telling me about his day every once in a while to see if the train was near, surely I would hear it if it were nearby.
This morning, early this morning, I would pinch myself to see if this were a cruel dream, or if it were real.
âI hear it!â Exclaimed Ada, her arms draped around Finnâs shoulders, keeping him in place so he doesnât wander off. She gave a big smile and as if on queue, I heard the horn from a distance.
My heart rapidly pounded against my chest. Itâll be the first time in four years that Iâve seen my brothers. What scares me most is that theyâll be mad at me for not writing and telling any of them about our mother, but she made me promise not too until they got home, so I kept my word.
The train took another five minutes before it stopped in front of us, all our men were soon off once the doors opened. I searched from where I was standing for the two goofs that were my brothers, of course, not like I didnât expect it, they stepped off with blank expressions; no look of happiness to be home.
I couldnât help but let my tears flow. Theyâre not the same boys I grew up with, but men whoâve experienced more than they should whilst on the battlefield. The boys who used to be carefree and adventurous were not the men standing mere feet away from me. I secured Daniel before squeezing through the crowded train station, almost face to face with my older brothers. They looked different but I still recognized their faces.
Their cold gazes met my figure and softened. Immediately, I was embraced by both of them, sobbing onto their uniforms in no time.
âIs . . . is this real?â I asked frantically, not wanting them to disappear if I were to let go of them. They let out light chuckles and nodded.
âIâm afraid so, little sister, you canât rid us that easy.â Mason jokes, trying to lighten up the mood, I could see his eyes searching for someone. Our mum. How am I going to tell them? Itâll be more difficult than I thought now that theyâre here.
Andrew looked down at Daniel, his eyes lighting up. âGot yourself a bloke I see. Hope heâs treated you well whilst we were away.â He started to make silly faces at the boy in my arms, causing him to giggle. I shook my head, tightening my hold on him so he wouldnât accidentally fall.
âHeâs a sweetheart, but if you look closely, the boy resembles a Shelby. Iâve taken on the care of Martha and Johnâs lovely children since she died.â They looked at me like I sprouted two heads. âYeah. Almost a year ago. Pestilence.â
But before another word was spoken, I was being embraced by someone else. Someone oddly familiar. Nonetheless, I wrapped my arms around them, feeling a sudden warmth, one Iâd been missing more and more as the years went on.
âJohn.â
