DEBT PAYOFF REPORT: AUGUST 2017
“At the end of each month, I will prepare a debt payoff report to show you guys the progress we are making to crush our debts, and increase our net worth. Each month may vary depending on what we have going on so look out for those changes.” AFFILIATE DISCLOSURE: This page/post and any downloadable spreadsheet may contain links to other sites or products where I earn a small commission from…

TIME IS MONEY: LEARN TO MANAGE YOUR TIME
TIME IS MONEY: LEARN TO MANAGE YOUR TIME
**WHEN COMBINING MY OLD BLOG WITH THIS ONE, I DELETED MOSTLY ALL OF THE CONTENT. THIS POST WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED OCT 2012 AND MADE THE CUT! I TOUCHED IT UP SOME AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GREAT READ **   Have you ever found yourself stuck in a corner when it comes to managing your time? For me, this morning was one of those mornings. While I was juggling a few of my daily, smaller tasks like:…

It's been a while since I visited the 3/8 market! | Curious if the prices are good or not. We really don't buy all the produce. Typically just bananas and apples. | Here's what I paid: ▪️Nectarines- 5000krw/$4.37 ▪️Kiwis- 5000krw/$4.37 ▪️Watermelon - 7000krw/$6.13 ▪️Kimchi- 5000krw/$4.37 ▪️Smoked Pork- 18000krw/$15.77 So other than the kimchi and smoked pork (the splurge), I'm curious if these prices are cheaper than the stores? I looked online at Safeway and Kroger and they are cheaper compared to those stores. What do you pay? #farmersmarket #budgetinginkorea (at Pyeongtaek)

“Eh, it’s just coffee.” “Eh, it’s only a hair cut.” “Eh, this 99 cent app isn’t a big deal.”
Wrong! A budget should be a well thought out plan. A plan that sets goals and limitations to what you spend your money on. Don’t make the same mistake others make by not tracking every dollar spent. It’s the little purchases you shrug your shoulders to that add up quickly.

Today I've been going through our statements and emails with a fine tooth comb, looking specifically for forgotten subscriptions! • • • • • • • • I managed to put $224.94 back into this years budget and got a $39.99 head start for next year. ✌️ | And I also found a couple subscriptions I need to make reminders to account for in that months budget. [Can't let go out my @spotify though] #musicismytherapy 🤣🎧 • • • • • • • • How do you budget quarterly or annual payments? We pay them upfront, but I know my parents put aside a little each month until the bill is due. (at Pyeongtaek)

❗️ANOTHER LONG POST❗️ _______________ So I totally blanked out on the month! July has been slowly dragging by for me. 😐 Anyways! This is the remaining #stashcash from this months rent 😊 We will have more to add once all our utility bills come in. _______________ To explain stash cash, it's just money we have left from paying our rent and utilities here in Korea. We have to pay our rent and utilities with cash to our realtor so that means pulling out cash in USD and taking it to a money exchange place to change it into KRW. _______________ It's a bit of a hassle especially when you're accustomed to paying everything online, but the silver lining is we are able to save. _______________ Our rent budget is $1600 so that's the amount of cash I withdrawal each month. The cost of rent for the apartment we have is 1,700,000 won. Because of exchange rates, the cost in USD changes! Last month it was $1530, and this month it was $1490. The same goes with our utilities. _______________ The plus to all this is that we don't have much use for USD here. With the exception of 7-eleven and places on post, everywhere else takes Korean won. Since we don't shop on post much, anything extra is what we plan to stash!
