Tiger Lilies.
Courage. Purity. Passion.
Those three words hold so
much power. And power is
one thing humanity never
ceases to search.
True power comes through
being deep rooted. To know
ones self to where the world
canโt shake youโ and even if
it tries. The roots holding you
firm wonโt let you yield to it.
Tiger lilies stand out as being
one of the oldest flowers to
ever be cultivated; with rich
cultural history. โLigersโ was
their nickname as the three
hues they posses mimic
the pattern that of a tiger.
I encourage you to be like
these beautiful blooms;
courageous, pure and full
of passion. Be so rooted in
who you are that the world
wonโt forge you.

Iโve ran into someone like this and truly, they are addicting.
โSome people bring out the worst in you, others bring out the best, and then there are those remarkably rare, addictive ones who just bring out the most. Of everything. They make you feel so alive that youโd follow them straight into hellโฆโ

Moving on and forward.
โIt happens to everyone as they grow up. You find out who you are and what you want, and then you realize that people youโve known forever donโt see things the way you do. So you keep the wonderful memories, but find yourself moving on.โ

Kintsugi.
Traditional Japanese repair method.
Literal meaning; golden seams.
I believe thatโs what a soulmate
isโ the golden seams of our brokenness.
They help seal the pieces of us
together in such a breathtaking
way. Making the broken parts
beautiful.
We are beautifully, perfectly imperfect.
Together.

A Reckless Love.
Itโs an overwhelming,
Never ending, profound
devotion. One that sees no
limits in adoration.
It is not one you earnโ
but one that is given
graciously out of pure
affection.
And like a villain, it wonโt
risk you for the greater
good but insteadโ
burn the world to ground
for you.
Or like a Gardner, who
tends to its seedling.
Watering, nurturing and
placing it in a place where
the sun beautifully bathes
it to watch it bloom.
Thatโs how reckless love
pursues .

Sweet Peas.
Representing a blissful
pleasure. Like that first
breath when coming up
from dark, deep waters.
Or like the ray of sunโ
that breaks through the
frosty wall of winter,
warming wherever it
lands on.
That taste of freshly
made coffee in the morning.
The moment of lingering
elation as you replay those
same moments over and
over. Heartfelt laughs,
when seconds before were
sorrowing sobs.
If you ever find that sweetpea
in your life, treasure them.
Because they are a true rarity.

Marigolds.
More than just beautiful,
Itโs a flower that protects.
Wherever itโs planted,
A marigold acts like a shield
from pests and weeds to any
thing itโs surrounded by.
Keeping it strong and healthy.
Not caring wether itโs
other flowers or vegetables.
The marigold will relentlessly
uplift its surrounding mates.
Making them thrive.
Never cease to be the marigold in someoneโs life.

Author POV
Being a college studentโ stress and sleep deprivation was something common in her life.
Her days consisted of class, work and sleep. But every so often sheโd sneak into the the campus art studio to unhinge herself.
Socializing wasnโt something she enjoyed and an empty art room is just what she needed to fully free herself from her tensions.
Every paint stroke was a release for her and every color was what she heavily carried inside itching to burst out.
Grabbing a hair tie from her bag she quickly pulled her hair into a messy bun.
Once she began to reach for her brushes the sound of the door opening made her jolt falling backwards.
Slowly sitting up, the sight of the person in front of her had her heart racing.
โAre you okay? I didnโt mean to frighten you.โ
His beautiful dark brown eyes captivated her.
It was Jimin, the dreamy art major.
Sheโd seen him before around campus, every girl fawned over him and who could blame them.
โUm- Uh, y-yes-โ
he chuckled at her stuttering.
Standing he extended his hand helping her up.
โI didnโt expect anyone to be here this late.โ
Shying away from his words, she went back to her easel.
Giving her a confused look he followed behind her.
Noticing, she nervously spoke.
โW-what are you doing?โ
โAh, so she speaks.โ He said with a boyish grin.
Not wanting to embarrass herself further she quickly began to pack up her stuff.
โI-Iโll go.โ She was about to walk passed him when his hand gently grasped her wrist.
โWait, is your name Y/n by any chance?โ
Hearing her name, she immediately stopped.
โHmm, Iโll take that as a yes?โ
She turned keeping her gaze down.
โH-how did you-โ not letting her finish he walked towards the class storage taking out an art piece.
Her art piece.
โI found this a while ago on one of the easels.โ
โOh Im sor- โ once again he cut her off.
โIt seems a bit plain for my taste.โ
His comment earning a frown on her part.
โWell excuse me if my art isnโt to your liking.โ
She said with a hint of irritation as she took the painting from his hands.
Laughing he leaned down meeting her eyes.
โYouโre just missing a bit of inspiration thatโs all .โ
His sudden action making her blush immensely.
โArt should be spontaneous and fun. Something that makes you think out of the box and wonder how the artist felt while making this.โ
She looked up towards him with a curious stare. Although painting helped her distress, she never paid much attention to what her art actually represented.
Then again, her life was as simple as her painting. It didnโt have much to say.
Jimin had made way to the storage once more, taking out art supplies.
Taking one step forward she asked.
โW-what do you suggest I do?โ
Her question making him stop and look around as if searching for the answer himself.
Until finally he spoke.
โWhat canvases have you used?โ
Skeptical with his question she looked at the one in her hands.
โUmm, normal ones?โ
Laughing he continued.
โA change of canvas makes a difference in ones perspective. Start there.โ
Seeing her still confused expression he grabbed two stools and placed one next to her.
โGrab your brushes and then come and sit.โ
Nodding she did as he said.
As she turned to walk back, she saw him pull off his shirt tying it to his waist.
โW-what are you d-doing?!โ
Unbothered he simply sat and responded.
โChanging your canvas. Now hurry and come.โ
Hesitantly she approached the stool he had placed for her.
She couldnโt help but stare intently at his bare back.
โH-how will this h-help?โ
โIm going to be your canvas.โ
Her face began to warm up at his words.
Not arguing with him, she decided to sit and fight her natural instinct of hiding.
