"Technically, yes, but it is no longer an object. When I touched the key, it merged with me. I am the key now." He lifted his shirt, showing an ancient symbol imprinted on him.
Xander limped his way inside the home where he had left Lex for several months. He left no letters, nor did his family know where he had gone.
"Mon mari, I owe you an apology. Please, if you find it in your heart to forgive me. I had no intention of being gone so long. I abandoned you and the children, and for that, I am deeply sorry." He spoke with a fear in his voice.
Lex stood up from where he was, his eyes widening at the sudden shock. "T-the bloody hell, Xander? I-I thought you were gone for good!" He appeared in front of him in the blink of an eye to pull him into a hug before breaking it. "What happened? Where did you even go? I swear, I thought that you got kidnapped!"

"Heh, she can't destroy Leoparva without help from another god. She'll try to enlist you as her help in conquering his universe. She will want me back because I took something from her...Her key back to her own universe."

"Long long ago, eons, really. Our god Leoparva had a wife until she turned wicked because she never wanted Leoparva to plague her universe with humanity. She killed his first humans. Out of anger, he imprisoned her in a celestial chamber. This spirit is an angry goddess out to destroy humanity." Xander sipped the water after explaining.
"Her name is Irissa. She will look for me. She thought I was a god, probably because of the traces you left on me."
Xander limped his way inside the home where he had left Lex for several months. He left no letters, nor did his family know where he had gone.

Xander smiled softly, but the little light he once had was gone. He sat in a chair, spacing out for a moment.
"Oh, right, yes. Um, Lex. Could you get me a glass of water?" He leaned back in the chair. "The spirit escaped with me. We are all in danger now."

"Shhh, Axel, it's ok." Aeolus held her close, trying to keep her calm.
"Watch her, I'll be back soon. The catacombs could be dangerous given the virus." Aaron took a deep breath and left the room.
The Shadow Virus (Closed rp with @lunardragonprincess )
In the midst of rebuilding Quietem, Aaron arranged a retrieval mission. An elite group of men would bring the refugees home. The palace was open to the public, serving as a shelter to those who lost everything in the war.
Instead of hiding in his throne room, he was serving food with the staff and giving out blankets as he awaited the team to return. Suddenly, one soldier bursted through the door, bloodied and horrified.
"There's something in the outer woods! It's not human! They aren't human!" He shouted deliriously, causing panic.
Aaron gasped. "It's ok, everyone! Settle down." He announced as he approached the man. "Sir, it's alright. We'll investigate." He looked to Axel. "Can you take him to medical? Ask him about what he saw."

Xander dropped his cane, his body weakening in the hug as he hugged back with hesitants. "I, in a way, I was. It was just a routine mission to the shadow realm, strictly diplomatic. Death and I agreed to keep it classified as it could end badly. Once I found what I was looking for, I felt my soul stiffen. I was caught in a time loop with a devious spirit. I did not know how much time actually passed inside the loop. Thankfully, it was only a few months, not a lifetime."
"Are you ok? How are the children?"

Aaron looked to Aeolus. "There is something we can do, but we would need to act quickly. And we will need my heart, or well, old Aaron's heart."
Aeolus furrowed a brow. "The ritual of eternal youth. She would never agree to that."
"Then we won't give her a choice. I can't lose her now." Aaron looked at Axel with tears streaming down her face. "I need her."

"I am deeply sorry that you were forced to change. I was born this way. My parents were not human either. Though, I'm not exactly sure how to describe what I actually am." She giggled a bit
"Well, specifics, hm, what's your fondest moment?"
Lonely Little Witch (Open Starter)
Zoran stood at the edge of the bustling farmer's market, her dark hood pulled low over her face to shield her from the prying eyes of the crowd. The scent of fresh herbs, ripe fruits, and baked bread mixed in the air, but it was the vibrant chaos of it all that made her heart ache. She had long since stopped hoping for connection. After all, witches like her were meant to remain hidden in the shadows, their lives solitary and distant from the warmth of normal folk.
Her basket, a simple woven thing, rested against her side, holding only a few bundles of dried lavender and a jar of honey she had crafted herself. It was enough to trade, though the thought of speaking to anyone made her skin prickle with discomfort.
Zoran sighed, her fingers tracing the runes etched into the handle of her basket, her mind drifting to the life she’d left behind, far from the noisy market. She never imagined she'd return to such a place, too many eyes, too many smiles, and too many chances for someone to notice her too closely. Yet... her footsteps had led her here today, as if something or someone was calling her.
She adjusted her hood and stepped forward, her eyes scanning the crowd for someone, anything, that could offer a moment of respite from the loneliness she'd grown accustomed to.

Aeolus looked at the mess in the room yet paid it little mind. He carried her to a comfortable bed, quarantined from anyone else. "I hope you sleep tight, Axel. Goodnight." He held back tears as he gulped a bit of sorrow.
Aaron rushed in the room, feeling the eerie sense of death approaching. "She's infected...isn't she?"
Aeolus nodded. "She's mortal. How could I forget that she is just a mortal."
Aaron bit down on his little, trying to keep his sobs quiet. "I-I lost sight of that too."

Alice giggled, grabbing her hand. Her dainty hands were soft like silk, yet scarred, seemingly from something smacked against her flesh as punishment. "I'm also allergic to strawberries just so you know. Yet I love them cause they are the cutest fruits."
She frolicked her way up the stairs and out the door of the pub. "I don't know how long you've been in town, but it's not so friendly to our kind. We'll have to walk a few blocks to the Lycandope district. We are allowed to work over here but not be customers. Is it like that where you're from?"
A New Beginning in Quietem (Closed Starter @purewhitewolf)
Quietem had little care for a single young woman as culturally it is shunned to be without any family or husband, but thankfully, the woman in office made commodities for these women. Housing for single women rests on government property, allowing these women a single room apartment as long as they work for the Council office.
The apartment is no more than a bed and bathroom with a common room for cooking on each floor. The rules are strict as curfews and behavior are enforced by older Kader nuns who watch over the women in the building.
Curfew at 7pm. All women must be in their room by this time with no exception
No outside visitors
Lights out at 10pm
No music or dancing
No decoration
All women must rise at 6am and report to work
No eating outside scheduled hours
While outside the living quarters, the office is no better on strict rules. However, there are no nuns breathing down their necks. As for the job description, at a computer, each woman will organize information sent down by the higher offices. It is simple work for a barely livable wage, but it is what Quietem offers.
The group of women arriving to their new jobs were greeted by a man with a kind smile and the demeanor of a gentle hare. The country boy dressed in a suit does not erase his roots.
"Welcome to Quietem's Capitol Building. I am John Moore, personal assistant to Grand Shadow Miller. You will be assigned your desks after the tour, but first, I am going to show you around our lovely stronghold. If you have any questions during the tour, please do not hesitate to ask." His country drawl could not be subsided as he attempted to be professional

Phos hit the yes on the ground, signifying he had not always been a jackal.
His stance relaxed, and he became happy even as another jackal slowly walked from the bushes to approach them. This jackal was a female, an expecting mother, his lovely mate. He signaled to the female that it was safe before pawing at the letters. P-O-M-O-N-A and M-A-T-E
A young jackel approaches Kaitlyn with a gentle and hesitant step forward. He turned his head, waiting for her approval to move forward, a soft whine under his breath.
Kaitlyn stared at the jackal curiously. That's odd. These creatures don't normally approach like this. After a pause, she crouched slightly and held her hand out and low.

OCs doing things
Aaron is sitting in the student lounge of his college, covered in lipstick stains as all the girls test "kiss proof" lipsticks.
Zoran licks the mixing spoon in their kitchen after making too many desserts for no reason other than making desserts.
Alice emptied her closet out on her bed to find the perfect outfit only to pick the first one she chose.
Battle making floral garland to line the windows to brighten up the room. Enjoying the natural light in the early morning.
Xander is taking an unusual break from work to play his piano. His music fills the halls, giving the palace a sense of peace.

Phos whooped at the sound of his name. He pounced down on the 'yes' in the dirty. He was quite excited to hear his name after all these years living among wild dogs.
He looked off at their surroundings at first, sending a bark to a creature watching them closely.

He perked up at 'light', yet he tried to communicate that he had a name. He turned his head, watching her dig and draw.
He began digging around himself, attentively. He dugged around in a circle, creating a picture closely resembling a sub. He patted down on it with excitement before continuing with a heart and an arrowhead, hoping she would understand that his name has significance to the sun and cupid.

His ears flickered as she spoke. He listened closely to what she said. He lifted his left paw, tapping the yellow ball twice with cognitive fluency.
He nudged the ball with his nose afterward, trying to tell her that his name meant light.

The jackal perked up at the idea of hunting for something fresher; however, he seemed to have something to tell her. He could not speak, only animalistic noises. A sentient creature with no voice, a curse perhaps.

The jackel scampered over to her, sniffing her hand before nuzzling against her palm. At a closer look, this was not an ordinary creature. It had a soothing dark aura, almost divine yet twisted in some way.
