[ sort of psa: my computer died over the weekend and i have no money at the moment to get it fixed so this blog will be on a semi hiatus until i can solve that problem, i might get on every now and then at the library but it won’t be often

             although its been about a year and two months that this blog has existed, its coming up to the anniversary of when I actually became comfortable and active on this blog. I spent a good two months leaving Xaoli to stagnate, fearful of the people in this fandom and their then-aversion to original characters, feeling like it was a m i s t a k e to try and bring such a treasured character such as Her into this sort of scary place. Xaoli meant so much to me, and I feel SO INCREDIBLY LUCKY to have been able to open up and get so comfy with her and make such wonderful friends. 

             SO as a thank you for a really awesome year, I’ll be doing a LITTLE FOLLOW FOREVER, and a LITTLE FLASH GIVEAWAY.

HEY DO ME A FAVOR

Reblog this if you’re a Bleach RPer and you aren’t racist/think whitewashing is wrong? I usually hate posts like this but I genuinely want to make sure I’m following people that don’t suck. There has been a fuckload of racism on my dash lately and I’m super uncomfortable and very tired of making friends with people only to find out that they consider me a second class citizen once I’ve already gotten attached. I’d like to cut the middle man and know in advance. 

(It should go without saying that I also mean you should not be transphobic/homophobic/etc either, but since it apparently doesn’t go without saying NOT TO BE RACIST then I guess I shouldn’t assume everyone knows)

Taking the papers in his hands he took a moment to set them in their rightful area among the many other things on his desk, moving a few to fit them properly.

“I suppose.” He wanted to disagree, but unless some sort of catastrophe happened the work would indeed still be there in the morning and it would be better for that work not to be soaked in rain. A small sigh escaped him at the thought of leaving things unfinished. 

Perhaps he was a little tired, it wasn’t until he was nearly to the door that a thought occurred to him. “That’s an odd phrase ‘Night owl’. Are there day owls? I always thought owls were nocturnal, like badgers or hedgehogs. Or would the opposite be the early bird?” 

The thoughts of his paper work, and the slightly redundant phrase, were quickly pushed to the back of his mind when he stepped out and was able to smell the rain. It took a great deal of willpower to not run out and splash in the rain right at that moment. He could wait until he was alone to do that.

It was so beautiful when officers still had that spark of hard-working optimism that drove them to finish their work even after the regular hours. They would be cherished by Shuuhei forever.

It should come as no surprise, though. The Ninth had always been the perfect place for the dedicated and devoted. The ones who would see the job through even if there wasn’t a thank you at the end for them, out of duty or responsibility or even simple stubbornness. Of everything else that had changed about the division, that had always remained the constant.

“Bit of a night-owl, are you?” Said the pot the kettle. After all, there was a reason why Shuuhei was hanging around at this ungodly hour as well. Anders looked about as out of it as Shuuhei felt, and maybe a solid night of rest would be just fine for the both of them. 

“I don’t often say this but I must be just so damn tired that it’s messing with my thought process, so don’t expect me to repeat it,” Shuuhei said through a long exhale, stepping up to the officer’s desk and sweeping some stray papers into his hands. “But I bet that work is still gonna be here in the morning. Anyways even if you try to take it home it could get soaked in the rain, and that would be even worse than it being late.”

Shuuhei offered the papers back to Anders. “Besides, we have nice barracks. It’s practically a waste of money not to use them once in a while.”

“Hm. You’re right, we haven’t. At least not properly or else I would remember you better.”

So much for that. Well, at least she’s not really lying, not yet anyway. “Uh–I don’t think so, no. You don’t look familiar.”

He paused mid-stride. She looked vaguely familiar but he couldn't match a name to the face. “Hey, uh, miss! Sorry but have we met?”
