Hi everyone!! Been a few months since I last posted here. So welcome to new and old followers alike!

I’ve been hard at work on some drawings which you’ll see later this year. Including some drawings of our new beloved Touhou girls which I’m sure you’ll see very soon ❤️

On that note however, if you happen to follow my other tumblr account then I’m sure you’re aware that I hold a very strong stance against genAi. With the recent discussion of Zun making use of genAi in Touhou 20, I wanted to throw my hat in the ring and just let my followers know my stance on it as a longtime fan of the series.

First of all, I’m very disappointed. It breaks my heart a little to see genAi make its way into my favorite game series.

However, I wouldn’t feel right going scorched Earth against Zun for this and the entire series. It’s sad and I say it’s alright to complain, but no one should be overly vile towards Zun about this.

From my understanding Zun believes that genAi can be harmful if it is not ethically sourced and he believes in using an ethically sourced genAi. I still don’t fully agree in his genAi usage. I really don’t believe that there is such a thing as an ethical genAi that currently exists, but we’re getting down to brass tacks here it seems.

Either way, I’m going to continue to support the series and make fanart on my art blog as I always have. I’m certainly not happy with the situation, but I can hardly expect to hold a creator from a different country and a different age bracket entirely to my ethical standards. The games are still mostly human-made and mostly ethically created. And it’s the human artistry that has brought the Touhou series to life that I will always cherish. From Zun’s work to all the fanworks.

Again, I hope most of the fans who feel let down about this don’t harass Zun in any way.

Please do your best to keep the conversation around this as civilized as possible.

I’ve finally gotten back into drawing again after my little break. Im behind on so many projects.

And I’m also thinking about doing artfight this year. I’ve never done that before.

I’m just not much of an oc creator tbh. I struggle making interesting clothes so bad lol

Just went through and deleted all my art off of Instagram and Threads. I hadn’t been using the platforms for very long, but I was excited about growing my reach there. I’m keeping the accounts, but I don’t see myself posting art there anytime soon.

Unfortunately I just can’t stomach their scummy policies of stealing my art for their AI. Maybe it would be different if I actually had the option to opt out of the feature, but it seems like they’re not even offering that in my country.

Either way, I haven’t given up on my dreams to be a full-time artist yet. I think I just need to slow down and reassess. Work on growing myself in different avenues and try not to stress too much on the future. There’s only so much in my control after all.

And I still believe that people want art made by humans! Real art is more than a prompt hand-fed to a machine ❤️

I have so many thoughts and possible headcanons after the new hifuu cd. Lots of amazing drawing ideas too!! I’ve been feeling a little burnt out recently, but I think this really reignited some of my passion ❤️

Looking forward to tmw when I have the day off work and I can get started on them.

I made the mistake of finally trying out Stardew Valley. Now I have an overwhelming addiction. I really gotta take a break and work on my drawings instead 😓

I’d say it’s unfair of the world to keep me from making art 24/7. Pretty messed up when you think about it.

I can’t help but feel like I accidentally manifested something terribly scary for the Touhou fandom while I was working on this series of drawings the past few weeks. Please forgive me, I only want the lesbians to make it out of this one ok 🥲

(For those of you who haven’t heard yet, there’s a new Hifuu cd being released soon and the hints we have gotten don’t bode well for our precious gals)

Every time I think the worst is over, life just gets in the way again. I’m very tired and I just want to finally finish these drawings I’ve been working on 🥲 here’s another WIP in the meantime I guess
