Leif x Reader | Cat & Mouse
Synopsis/ Author’s note: (The reader is basically Ava in this oneshot) Perhaps taking in a cohort of daemos isn’t what you expected to be doing this weekend, but you learned to live with it. That is, until a certain daemos decides to play a game of cat and mouse with you… (Consent is important, kids)
Word count: 1629
Leif was a daemos of many desires, and he knew exactly what he wanted: you. Put it simply, he was a casanova – a womanizer. One look into his deep-set pools of aquamarine and girls would be putty in his hands. But not you. Something about you was different, something indescribable. You were not impressed by his many charms – you had priorities. The grinding gears of life were constantly turning, after all, the gears spare no one.
You had him mesmerized. Leif fell for everything about you: your face, your body, and your aura, he wanted it all. Of course, Leif didn’t mean to fall under your spell, there was just something so captivating about you, something that even he couldn’t quite pinpoint. But you never seemed to notice, or even care. Your attention was shared among the daemos cohort, after all.
Today was no different, your attention was focused on a daemos, but not Leif. You were, yet again, arguing with Rhys about a minuscule matter. Apparently one box of ice cream wasn’t enough to please this intellectual.
“Rhys, you can’t have so much ice cream in one day! Literally no one on the face of this earth can tolerate that much sugar!” You clapped your hands, emphasizing your point while charging at him. Rhys bolted out of the kitchen, ice cream box in hand.
“Sorceress, you’re forgetting that I’m not from earth!” The ice-cream-high daemos yelled back, picking up his pace. You cringed, thinking of how naïve Rhys sounded.
“RHYS THAT’S NOT HOW IT WORKS!!!” You cornered him. “Now, hand over the ice cream.” You extended your hand impatiently. But, oh no, he was NOT going down without a fight. Before you knew it, you were face-to-face with him. His hands were high in the air, dangling the box. And damn was he tall. Even on your tippy-toes, you were just a few inches shy of his reach. You groaned in annoyance.
A wicked idea flew into your head. From previous experience, you knew a daemos’s weakness: their horns. “Fine, then we’ll have to do this the hard way…” your hand ever-so-slightly grazed the intellectual’s left horn, causing him to flinch as a reflex, while simultaneously dropping the ice cream box. Feigning your innocence, you reached into your pocket to pull out a bright crimson-colored Crayola pen. Your plan? Draw on the box and trick Rhys into thinking that it was a seal. “I’ll do it, Rhys. I’ll seal the box! If I do, whoever opens it without permission dies….” you flashed him a glare. Needless to say, he was horrified. He begged for your mercy, and you gave your mercy to him.
Leif noticed Rhys’s proximity to you. That daemos was too close to you for Leif’s comfort. Perhaps after this, he could strike up a conversation with you. He wanted your attention that he was so deprived of. He knew he had to get it somehow…
Much to Leif’s chagrin, he wasn’t able to. An incoherent “A-HA” and “I’VE FOUND IT!” Bellowed throughout the apartment. You cringed again. From the sound of it, Asch was rummaging through your room again. Yet another groan of annoyance escaped your mouth as you bolted towards the noise. Your suspicions were correct: Asch was in your room, sifting throug— your underwear draw? Fuc- not this bulls- OH MY GOSH!!! Asch charged a fireball at the pile of lingerie on the floor. You had already spent a fortune on bras, as the daemos prince was so adamant on ‘destroying your source of power’.
“ASCH! PUT MY BRAS DOWN! I NEED THEM!!!” You bolted behind him pulled him into an embrace, effectively stopping him from burning your undergarments. There was no physical barrier between the two of you… only the cloth of his cape kept you away from the curve of his back. And damn, was he muscular. An awkward silence instilled between the two of you. You feared that if you let him go, another batch of your undergarments would fall victim to Asch’s fiery wrath. Perhaps it wasn’t such a good idea to pull him into an embrace… “The more you destroy, the more power sources will regenerate, your highness…” You let the prince go as he turned around to meet you in the eyes.
“WHO is the prisoner again?” Asch averted his eyes, unable to maintain his gaze on you. You scoffed.
“Mhm, and WHO is the powerful sorceress?” You shot back at him. His highness was unable to answer. He simply left your room without a word.
You were alone, this was the opening that Leif had been looking for: the opportunity to steal you away from the others, to have you for himself… or, so he thought…
The sound of Noi’s blood-curdling screams took you off-guard.
“WHAT NOW?!” You wanted to pull your hair out.
You found The magicless daemos in the kitchen, curled up into a ball while holding his fingers with tears streaming down his cheeks. You looked to his left, where you found the oven open and turned to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. It took you a matter of seconds to connect the dots: Noi had fu– messed with the oven.
“Noi, what happened?!” You kneeled next to his head as he looked at you through his tears, mumbling something about the 'heat box’. He wasn’t speaking words, all he did was cry.
You huffed, gently rubbing an ice cube on Noi’s burn. “Shhh…” you comforted him. “You’ll be fine, Noi, trust me…” A small smile spread across his face, thanking you for your hospitality.
Today was a long day, from your ice cream stash being raided, to yet another set of your underwear being destroyed, you just couldn’t seem to catch a break. You sighed to yourself as you looked out the window of your apartment. The others had gone to bed by this time. It was yet another sleepless night, you mused at what you could do tonight to ease your racing thoughts. Wrapping your blanket around your body, you found yourself wandering into the kitchen. Alone you sat, in the empty room, book in hand, immersing yourself into the wizarding world of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
It wasn’t long before you felt the presence of someone next to you. The sound of a ceramic mug being placed next to you brought you out of your imagination. You looked to hot right: Pierce was sat next to you with a mug of hot tea in his hand. He pushed it towards you with a reassuring smile. You returned his smile and set down your book.
“Hello,” you waved at him. The daemos returned with a smile. “Thank you Pierce…”
“You’re welcome,” he pat your head, causing your cheeks to glow a deep shade of red. There was something about him that made you feel at ease, you felt vulnerable around him…
The two of you exchanged words for what felt like hours. You failed to notice him though… Leif was furious! He should have just stolen you for himself when he had the chance. He wanted you, and he always got what he wanted. This wasn’t just passion, it was something else, something more invigorating. All he knew was that he wanted you, mind, body, and soul. Leif wanted nothing more than to steal you away, to hold you in his arms and mark you as his own… and he would soon get his chance.
It had been a rather uneventful Monday, the rest of the daemos were in their own rooms while you stayed in your own. Until a certain someone came into your room unannounced.
Your back was pressed against the wall. Leif was face-to-face with you, embracing your figure in his arms. “Darling…” he cooed, ever-so-slightly brushing his lips against yours. It was as if he was under some sort of spell…. you felt his lips lock into yours as he deepened the kiss. It was then when inside you snapped: the voice of reason. This wasn’t what you wanted, and he knew it. With all the strength you could muster, the face of your palms met with his cheeks, sending a loud echo into the air. You were fuming; you opened your mouth to speak.
“I don’t know how it is in your world, but that is NOT how you treat a sorceress!” You scolded him. “You don’t simply waltz your way into a girl’s room and steal a kiss without consent!!!” You stormed into the kitchen, fuming in indignation.
For the first time in his life, Leif felt horrible… He wanted you, but not like this… not if you were unhappy with him.
Days passed. An awkward silence had instilled between the two of you. He had to apologize. He wanted to fix things…
It was late, and sleepless night for you again. You lied in your bed, staring at the empty could of a ceiling before a knock interrupted your thoughts. “(Y/n)?” A voice called out. It was Leif.
“Come in?” You returned. And in Leif came, vulnerable… another awkward silence instilled.
“I was an idiot for what happened… I’m sorry. I want to set things right” He kneeled, looking down. He looked genuinely apologetic.
Something in your heart told you that perhaps he was truly sorry. You sighed. “Fine… you can start by asking for consent before kissing me,” you remarked sarcastically. Leif was in tears, pulling you into an embrace.
“Kiss me, you fool.” You said. And Leif obliged, locking your lips with his, in a deep and emotional kiss… For once in this game of Cat and Mouse, the mouse was in total control…

Rhys x Reader (My Inner Demons)
Synopsis: You are a university student who is majoring in Computer Science. Not wanting to deal with the hassle of renting a dorm, you become roommates with Ava. You’re pretty content with your life… until a handsome demon named Rhys sweeps you off your feet.
Word count: 2760
The college life was not at all like you expected it to be. That glamorous illusion of nightlife and party life was shattered as soon as you arrived to your first class. Sure, you’ve been to fraternity and sorority parties here and there, but that was only on the rare occasions that you had no assignments to worry about. Your time was quickly dictated by the immense amounts of homework and projects your professors assigned you.
You heaved a sigh, scanning your Introduction to Computer Science; Volume 7 textbook. It would be yet another all-nighter for you. Cans of Red Bull were sprawled out throughout the kitchen table and floor. Your professor decided to give you yet another ten page homework assignment. Good grief, how does the professor have time to grade all these papers? you thought to yourself. A yawn escaped your mouth as you peered at your computer’s clock. Oh boy, 3am! Sarcasm dripped from your remark as you typed a stream of code into your program. You were almost done, just another page to go and you would be free from the clutches of the monster-sized homework assignment.
It was hard enough that your professors expected their students to have no social life, but you also had to deal with a handful of quite lovely demons. The sarcasm was strong – perhaps you should have majored in sarcasm instead of Computer Science. Of course, some of the demons were less trouble than others. Pierce, for instance, never caused trouble. He wasn’t a demon of many words and you often welcomed his company whenever you studied for exams. Asch and Leif were another story. Oh boy, did they make you want to tear your hair out – even more so than your professors. You didn’t mind Noi’s company, only when he wasn’t crying over Johnny.
Rhys, on the other hand, was is different story. He, in many ways, was like your equal. His willingness to learn about both the material you were studying, and you as a person was a breath of fresh air compared to the cliquiness of the university students and the rest of the demons. Rhys was a good man – er, demon.
4:25 am: you were finally done! You saved two copies of your papers and turned it in. A massive weight was lifted from your chest, and in a blaze of glory, you left your computer and books on the tables and crashed onto your bed.
The morning sun peeked through your curtains, shining directly onto your face. Bloody he-, you almost cursed, turning to face away from the windows. Today was a Saturday, one of your only two days off, and you were going to take advantage of this.
Just as you drifted back to sleep, a loud shriek echoed throughout the apartment. You groaned in agony, not on your day off! Fine, if the universe didn’t want you to relax, might as well use this time to be productive. Lugging yourself off the warmth of the mattress, you made your way into the living room. And of course the demons just had to lounge in the living room. Just what you needed on your day off: a circus. It wasn’t long before Ava bursted through the bathroom doors, fury burning in her eyes. Something inside you warned you not to ask about earlier.
“Listen up! If I’m going to be your prisoner, then we’re gonna have to lay down some ground rules!” Ava turned to each of the demons. Asch was the first to respond.
“As a prisoner, you don’t get to MAKE rules.” He asserted, leaning into Ava’s face. This was going to take a while…
The door rang. Ava turned to you. “(y/n), would you please get that?” You nodded, heading to  the door.
You came face-to-face with Mrs. Oats.“O-oh! Mrs. Oats!” you greeted her.
“Oh (y/n), I’ve been so worried about you!” The elderly lady smiled.
“Thank you for your concern, Mrs. Oats! I’ll be fine once finals season e-” Mrs. Oats cut you off.
“Oh, no, dear! I heard you screaming all weekend! I was especially worried when I heard you screaming for three hours straight!” You blinked in confusion, only to nod along to her story. “I almost forgot! Do you think you could bring this to your grandson for me? You always deliver things on time and I appreciate it so much.” She held up a finely wrapped gift box, you laughed awkwardly in response.
“Sure, I can do that.” You took the box from Mrs. Oats.
“Oh thank you, darling! Now, what were you screaming about last night?” She questioned you.
“Oh! you heard? I’m so sorry!” This was awkward. You knew that the professor’s homework would often cause you to scream and pull your hair out, but you never knew that you were that loud… “My professors have been assigning a lot of work recently an-”
“(Y/n) look! I figured out how to put clothes on!” Rhys lifted his arms out to a t-pose position, motioning to the sleeves on his shirt. Pierce was not far behind him, with a perplexed look on his face.
“No one saw him do it and he won’t tell us.” Pierce remarked. As much as their company was appreciated, or tolerated, now was not the time. You did not want anyone to get the wrong idea. But Rhys continued/
“That’s because it was a test from the sorceress and I passed again.” A smug look washed over Rhys’s face. Oh, you really wanted to smack them right now.
“Shoo! Not now!” Your brow instinctively furrowed in annoyance as they turned the corner, leaving your sight. You turned to face Mrs. Oats. “ahaha, yeah…” Something glistened in Mrs. Oats’s eyes.
“Oooohhh, I see what’s going on here,” She winked at you. and of course, she got the wrong impression.
“N-no, really! It’s just from my homewo-” Mrs. Oats winked at you again.
“ah, I was young once too. I’m glad to see you’re in good hands!” She smiled.
“Prisoner!” You heard an authoritative voice behind you. “Get over here now!” Asch ordered. ohno.ohno.ohno.ohno. Thoughts  wurred in your head.
“I’m sorry, gotta go!!!” you slammed the door shut, only to hear ‘I was wild once too, no shame if you’ve got game!’ fading into the distance. “Bloody hell!” You ran into your shared bedroom. The last thing you needed was for your classmates to start thinking you were a nerdy girl with a wild side. All you wanted to do was to get your damned degree.
You returned to the living room; the first thing you witnessed was Ava hugging her knee in pain. Your attention was turned to a cat, one you’ve never seen before… Rhys was the first to break the silence, suggesting that the other demons learn how to put on their human clothes. You spoke next.
“Er, right… I have to put mine on. I have something for Jake…” You trailed off before returning to the bedroom as Ava followed you. You debated whether or not to tell Ava about Mrs. Oats before letting it all out. It needed to be said. Ava was sympathetic and patted your back while comforting you from your embarrassment, after all, Mrs. Oats had a tendency to… spread the word around to anyone who would listen. You heaved a sigh before getting dressed and heading out to the living room.
“All right guys, here’s what’s going to happen.” Ava clapped her hands. “Rhys, you’re going to come with (y/n) to deliver this present since you were the one to figure out human clothes the fastest.” You stared at his figure, and wow, was he well dressed. Perhaps you never realized it, but his human clothes suit him well. They were classy enough for even the preppiest of college students, but also contoured his muscles beautifully.
The others let out low groans as you made eye contact with the brunette demon. You flashed him a small smile before you heard a subtle 'not fair’ from Pierce. You couldn’t help but giggle at  his jealousy.
“Don’t worry, Pierce, I enjoy your company just as much as I enjoy Rhys’s.” You winked at him flirtatiously. When did you get this confident? Only the universe knows.
Before you knew it, you and Rhys were off into the city. You were eager to make the visit quick, you wanted to cherish the time you had with Rhys. “come on, Rhys, let’s go before Mrs. Oats’s grandson gets any ideas.” You motioned to him to follow you. Rhys squinted for a second before asking for you to elaborate.
“Ideas? What do you mean?” You stopped in your tracks before turning to him, wondering how in the world you were going to explain what you were implying without making the conversation awkward. The clock was ticking, and you scrambled for an explanation before settling on changing the subject. To your luck, The Ice cream truck was right there, calling your name.
“ICE CREAM!!!” Your outburst came as a surprise to Rhys, who stood there on the sidewalk, watching you knock some kid over to order the goods. Oh boy, and were you out of breath, perhaps you were not in the best of shape, but you were too laser focused on the task at hand: order ice cream.
“Ah, (Y/n),” the truck keeper smiled, turning towards you. You slammed a ten dollar bill onto the table. “Can I get my usual please?” The man laughed as he turned to fetch your order. “actually make that two, I deserve it after those dang professors decided to torture me with–” you shuddered “– math, ew…”
The clerk turned around with your ice cream. He took note of the male behind you before excitedly remarking: “oh, it’s for a friend! Then it’s on the house!” You blinked in confusion and turned around only to plant your face into Rhys’s chest. Damn, he may not look it, but he’s ripped! It was almost enough to distract you from the clerk’s remark. Though mildly offending, you couldn’t deny free ice cream. You thanked him before handing Rhys his ice cream.
“Come on, let’s go eat.” You motioned him to follow you again as you led him to an empty table-for-two in he park.
You never realized how graceful Rhys was. The way he carried himself was one of a dignified nature but there was something comforting about his aura. You felt as if you could let his guard down around him, to completely expose yourself to him. The two of you talked for what seemed like hours about human culture. Rhys nodded his head, taking in this new information. Every minute you spent with him felt like seconds…
Your eyes met Rhys’s for a moment. He was squinting again; it was a quirk of his that you noticed. He would often do the same when you explained the concepts that he questioned when scanning the Computer Science textbooks. You couldn’t help but giggle. Rhys looked up from his ice cream, shooting you a questioning look.
“Is something wrong?” He asked, tilting his head to the side – another quirk that you noticed when he didn’t understand something. It took you a moment to think of what to say.
“Sorry,” your eyes soften, “I couldn’t help it. I noticed that you squint a lot when you take in concepts.” You could have stopped there, but before you could stop yourself, out came the words: “I think it’s cute.” Shi- I really just said that out loud huh? Oh well, might as well own it, right?
“Why, thank you, (y/n).” He flashed a smile. “There are still many things I still don’t understand about humans and their culture…” Rhys continued. You smiled.
“Well then, I’d be happy to answer your questions…. But first: try the ice cream, it’s melting.” You pointed to his hand. Rhys took a bite out of his ice cream. His eyes lit up immediately.
“This is amazing!” Rhys’s eyes widened before finishing the whole thing. To be frank, you were quite taken aback by how fast he finished. You finished yours soon after.
“Let’s go, I want to make sure the others aren’t giving Ava a hard time.” Rhys stood up from his seat, offering you a hand up. Muttering a small “thank you”, you took his hand and helped yourself up.
As the two of you were about to leave the park, an idea flew into your head. You wanted to spend more time with him, some alone time; you wanted to get to know him better. Perhaps out of nowhere, you had the urge to call out to him, to ask him to spend some time with you… you called out to him, “Rhys, let’s take a detour…” you smiled up at him. “May I have your arm?” Rhys squinted again.
“Yes, but, why?” He cocked his head to the side in confusion as he offered you his arm. You simply winked and wrapped your arms around his. It was then you realized just how muscular he was. His toned arms held your own stuck-like arms stable against his. It was a comforting sensation, you felt safe in his arms…
Meanwhile, Rhys was realizing many things on his own as well…. Your touch sent a shiver down Rhys’s spine. It was a rather odd sensation, one that he hasn’t felt in a long time. He attempted to my no mind to the feeling, but something about this just felt right. The demon tried to logically access this situation, wondering what would have caused this feeling, and why.
“Where I’m taking you is a secret, one for me to know, and you to find out.” you said, escorting him further into the park. It didn’t take long to reach your destination: the fountain. Rhys looked at you in confusion as you detached yourself from his arm. “This is a fountain, I’m sure you’ve had something similar to this in Daemos…” you reached into your pocket for two quarters. “I wanted to teach you another lesson about human culture before we returned home.” You cast him a somewhat bittersweet smile before placing the coin into the palm of his hand. “Now, I want you to think of a wish… something you want to come true…” Rhys closed his eyes and mused in silence before fluttering his eyelids open. “Did you make a wish?”
“I did,” he replied. “What do I do now”?“ He questioned you, staring at the silver quarter in his hand.
"Throw it into the water, like this…” you closed your eyes, focusing your thoughts on your desires. Perhaps you weren’t happy with your major? Or perhaps you wanted a certain someone to come into your life? There were so many things to wish for. But for now, you focused on one wish and one alone…. you opened your eyes, giving your quarter a determined smile and tossed it into the base of the fountain. The silver coin skidded across for a few bounces before landing in a spot, creating a rather large, for a coin, ripple.
Rhys studied your actions before trying it on his own. He threw his coin into the water, creating a splash. He was still rather confused. You sensed this, and began: “Humans throw coins into wells or fountains and make a wish. Legends say that if you’re lucky enough, your wish will come true.” You tried your best to explain to him a rather childish concept. Thankfully, Rhys understood.
“What did you wish for?” Rhys asked, perhaps out of curiosity.
“That’s for me to know and you to find out. Your wish won’t come true if you tell it to others…” you quickly explained, offering him a lukewarm smile. Rhys’s curiosity seemed to peek.
“Then will my wish ever come true?” You couldn’t help but giggle. His questions were similar to those of a child’s, and it was adorable.
“Someday… maybe all our wishes will come true….” You contemplated your wish before turning your attention back to the fountain. “We should go, Rhys.”
“You’re right, (y/n),” Rhys offered you his arm to escort you home. Heat rose to your cheeks as you gracefully accepted his arm.
You were unsure of what the future would hold, or where your friendship with Rhys would go, but one thing was for sure, you would cherish this memory…. this day off…

Pierce x Reader (My Inner Demons)
Synopsis: Crashing on Ava’s couch becomes even more exciting when a group of attractive demons show up. But one demon catches your attention more than the others… (You’re a Wizard).
Word Count: 2609
It was cold, deathly cold. The soothing tik tok sounds of your grandfather clock echoed throughout the room as you groped the darkness for your wand. Your fingertips finally made contact with your wand. “Luminare,” you chanted, prompting a ball of light to appear at the tip of your wand, illuminating the room. You left the warmth of your heated duvet and waddled your way to the thermostat, turning it up. Being a wizard can come in handy on Earth. You complimented yourself, lugging yourself back to your bed. Now came the waiting game, waiting for your room to heat up. But it never did….
You heaved a sigh, perhaps you should see Jake about the heating system in your lodge. For now, you had to go with plan B: Beg your friend Ava to let you crash on her sofa. Hesitantly, you dialed her number and placed the cellphone to your ears. The rhythmic beeping would have been enough to  lull you to sleep if it wasn’t for your dysfunctional heating system. Thankfully, Ava picked up your call.
“Hello?” Her strained voice came onto the line.
“Hi Ava, it’s (y/n),” you stopped for a second. “I need a favor… My heating system isn’t working, mind if I crash on your couch?” There was a pause on the line before Ava replied.
“Sure, not a problem! Just make sure to talk to Jake about your predicament in the morning.” She giggled a bit.
“Thank you, I’ll be right over.”
You soon found yourself at Ava’s doorstep, waiting for her to open up. She soon did, and greeted you with a smile and a handful of blankets. “Thank you so much, Ava, you’re a life-saver,” you smiled. Ava smiled back, leading you into her (very purple) living room.
“No problem,” she smiled. “I’m going back to bed, feel free to raid my kitchen if you’re hungry.” Ava yawned, leaving for her room.
You replied with a curt nod, and made yourself comfortable on the couch, drifting off to dreamland.
It would be noon before the sun would grace your eyes. You sluggishly got up from your makeshift bed and knocked on Ava’s door. There was no answer… you knocked again. Maybe she’s still asleep? You thought, opening a crack. Ava was nowhere to be seen. Johnny was happily bouncing on his owner’s bed as you made your way into Ava’s room.
“Johnny, do you know where Ava is?” You questioned the cat. He simply meowed and resumed jumping. Hmm… maybe I should call her? She’s normally not up until 1…
You tried calling her… no luck. The time ticked by, it was now 1:20 and still no sign of Ava. Strange… you were worried now. But before you could organize a search party, the sound of Ava’s front door opening caught your attention. That’s either Ava, or Jake. The former seems more likely. You thought to yourself.
“Ava! Is that you, gurl?” You called out while turning the corner. “OHMYGOSH” it took all your willpower not to scream. Ava was unconscious and in the arms of a (very handsome) stranger.
Your eyes momentarily met his, setting your cheeks on fire. Just his eyes alone set every part of you aflame. You took a few seconds to process what was going on. Not only was there one stranger, there were many, dressed in, what you assumed to be, demon costumes. They’re probably here for the convention… you thought. “WELL DON’T JUST STAND THERE, PUT HER ON THE COUCH!” You yelled anxiously. The group seemed taken aback by your tone. Thankfully, Ava was set down.
One of the strangers stormed up to you. “How DARE you speak to me like that! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO I AM?!” He yelled, charging a fireball in his fist. Your eyes widened in terror. Another magic user? They were hard to come by in this realm. You grabbed your wand from off the floor and chanted a fire disarming spell, efficiently quelling the flame.
“Your majesty, this human knows fire disarming magic! Are you all right?!” One of the (what you assumed to be) cosplayers spoke up. You looked directly at the stranger in front of you. Needless to say, he was furious yet intrigued. It would take a fool to not recognize the rage building up in those eyes. You readied your wand, ready to fire.
“That sorceress…” said the one who carried Ava. “How long until she wakes up?”
“Hmmm… I don’t know, depends on what happened to her.” You check her pulse and breathing. Both are present, causing you to let out a sigh of relief. “She should wake up soon…”
It seemed like hours, but Ava finally woke up, and the strangers flocked to her. It sure was a sight to see. You disassociate yourself for a bit as a wave of relief washes over you. All you caught was something about Demons and a magic crisis. You were brought back to reality when Ava shrieked. She was in the kitchen defending herself with nothing but a frying pan.
“Ava!” You rushed to her side. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you!” Ava looked at you momentarily before turning back to the demons at hand. The moment the demons saw you raise your wand, they dropped your weapons. Perhaps they were still off put by the fact that you were able to disarm the demon prince. Either way, Ava seemed relieved.
“Hear me out,” One of the strangers started. His slicked cobalt blue eyes lit up in seriousness. “We come with peaceful intent to-” He was cut off by incoherent screaming involving something about ‘her source of power. Out came another demon-like man. The one who threatened you, to be exact. He was so intimidating that you never noticed the way his physique moved. This one carried himself with pride. He must be a Demon Prince. The man you assumed to be Rhys mumbled a ‘your majesty’, confirming your suspicions.
“This human is a sorcerer,” The Demon prince said, tossing a bra catalog to 'Rhys’, the one speaking earlier. The demon pulled out a bra, and you covered your eyes in response. No matter how close you are to a person, it’s still weird to have their undergarments exposed.
Ava used this opportunity to quite literally yeet the pan towards the demon prince’s face. Oof, that’s gotta leave a mark.  You cringed at the thought of the pain. Before you could blink, Ava ran, nay – she bolted – towards the door. One demon, who you assumed to be Pierce, chased after her. Ava was held tight, to ensure that she wouldn’t escape. You held up your wand again and shot the demon the fiercest glare you could muster. Yes, he was attractive, buy your friend is in danger!
“Let. Her. Go.” You ordered as the other demons drew their weapons. One of them, Lief, charged at you with his sickles. “Immobius!” You chanted, causing him to freeze. The struggle was evident on his face. No matter how hard he tried, he was stuck, frozen in time for the next 10 minutes. You turned to the rest of the demons, “Who’s next?” they lowered their weapons, not wanting their bodies petrified. You shifted your attention to Pierce. “Now, I’ll say it once again: Let Ava go.” He obliged and you rushed to Ava’s side. “Are you okay?!” She gave you a small nod before questioning you.
“How.. How did you…” She muttered.
“I’m a wizard(ess).” You completed her sentence. She seemed dumbfounded. “I promise, I won’t hurt you.” Ava understood what you meant, you wanted to protect her. “Now, why are you all here? I will not have you terrorizing an innocent sorcerer!” You decided to humor them for a bit. They explained everything, their crisis, and why they were here.
“Please, all mighty sorcerer,” Rhys begged Ava while kneeling on his feet. She nodded, taking pity on the poor demons.
It was a long adrenaline-filled day, between defending your friend Ava from some rather attractive demons and exposing your secret to her, you almost forgot to pester Jake about your broken heating system. You looked at the clock: it was 10pm. Dang, Jake would be asleep by now. You heaved a sigh, mentally taking note to see Jake bout your unit. Looking around, all the demons were asleep. Well, all except one: Pierce. Your eyes locked with his before turning to Johnny, who was currently purring against Pierce’s lap. Hesitantly, you sat next to Pierce. There was nothing between the two of you except for a your clothes, a few inches on the couch, and Johnny. Something about Pierce caused your heart to go haywire; it was beating out of control.
“Hey…” you shot Pierce a smile. “you seem to be getting along with Johnny.” Johnny left Pierce’s side, seeking the warmth of your lap. His stomach was exposed, and his eyes screamed 'please give me a belly rub’. You gladly obliged, gently patting Johnny’s tummy. He began to purr.
“You can talk to animals, Wizard?” Pierce questioned, prompting a soft laugh to escape your mouth.
“Well, please call me by my name: (Y/n) (L/n) . And, Oh, no,” you began. “In the human world, non-verbal communication is just as important as verbal communication. Non-verbal communication is when you try and say something without talking.” Pierce nodded his head, taking in what you were explaining. “Hmmm… The best way to learn more about this kind of stuff is to observe other humans. Pierce’s eyes lit up, the rest of his body was stoic, almost blasé. You could tell that he was engaged in the conversation, however. You gave him a sympathetic smile before proposing an idea. “How about I take into the city, we can go observe how humans act.” The demon nodded once again. He didn’t seem like one of many words.
You nodded and worked the details out with Ava, and you agreed to take Pierce out into the city.
The next morning, you woke up early to find the appropriate outfit. You settled for something form-fitting yet functional. It hugged you in all the right places, all the while expressing your personality. Pierce on the other hand, was gorgeous. His attire was fairly simple: a form-fitting button down shirt and a pair of jeans. You felt heat rush to your cheeks, his look was so simple, yet so attractive. The only problem was his horns. You gave it a thought before coming up with a brilliant idea.
“Pierce, may I touch your horns?” You asked an innocent question. Even an demon as stoic as Pierce became flustered. A light wash of pink was visible on his cheeks and ears. “As you observed, humans don’t have horns, I need to cast a spell on them so we won’t get weird looks.” Pierce’s posture relaxed a bit as he cautiously nodded his head. You began performing your magic, gently touching your finger to his horns, concentrating your magic in the tips of your fingers. Pierce’s discomfort was still apparent, though he held it in. His horns were soon gone, though temporarily, he looked like any other human. “Ready to go?”
“Yes…” Pierce was not a man of many words, nor was he familiar with human culture. Though he didn’t exactly reject your hand, you took his hand into yours. He was hesitant, but still followed.
You took him everywhere in the city, from the park, to the chiquest restaurants. Pierce was like a child. You would point out something about humans, and he would say something along the lines of “fascinating” or just nod while taking the sight in.
There was one particular location that he was fixated on: the movie theater.  Outside the building was a poster for a Romance movie. It seemed cliché to you, but to Pierce, it was intriguing. The poster displayed a man and a woman, their faces inches apart from the other’s, just a few seconds away from kissing.
“(y/n), what’s this?” Pierce questioned.
“It’s a movie. Humans take moving pictures with other humans to tell a story. They are normally put onto screens for other humans to see as a way to have fun.” you felt silly explaining such a concept to what other people would see as a grown adult, but you pressed on. “In the poster, they’re about to do this thing called kissing. It is way of sharing affection with another person,” you continued. “Would you like to watch it?” you asked. Pierce gave a small nod. You linked your arm around his, pulling him into the theater.
The theater was fairly populated, but you managed to quickly request for your tickets. “Two tickets for (Movie Name) please!” You said with a gleeful smile. The clerk eyed you and Pierce before printing two tickets for the show time and movie.
“Here you are, I went ahead and applied the couple’s discount to your tickets. You saved 20% today.” You blushed. “Snacks and popcorn are complementary as well, present the coupon to the snacks register and they’ll help you from there.”
“Thank you!” You smiled at the clerk. Though it was a little rude of them to assume that Pierce and you were a couple, you couldn’t argue about the fact that it was nice to save a little coin.
You soon received your complimentary food and headed into the dark movie room. The movie soon started; It was a rather cliché movie at that. But you couldn’t lie, this movie’s a classic. Throughout the film, you snuck glances at Pierce. His eyes were fixated on the movie, calculating gestures and noting certain aspects on human culture.
The movie soon ended with a happy ending. The crowd began to clap. Pierce took this as a signal to join in. You giggled at yourself before contributing to the sea of applause. People began to leave in their cliques. You soon followed with Pierce. You took Pierce’s hand into your own. “So we don’t lose each other in the crowd.” You blushed a bit before leading the way out.
You passed a group of girls, about the same age as you, whispering amongst themselves.  You were able to make out a few 'He’s so handsome!’, and 'That person sure is lucky to have a boyfriend as hot as that guy!’. Perhaps they were whispering about Pierce? Maybe not. As if on cue, you ever so gracefully planted face-first into the the sidewalk. You braced yourself for the impact, but it never came. Opening your eyes, your eyes locked with Pierce. Perhaps it was fate, or maybe the lack of sleep, the fact is, you almost fell but at the price of a sprained ankle. It was nothing bad, but it hurt to walk.
“Are you okay?” Pierce’s baritone voice laced your ears. You nodded, wincing in pain.
“I’ll be fine..” That didn’t stop him from sweeping you off your feet. You were in his arms, bridal style, while he walked back to Ava’s apartment. You buried your face into his firm chest to avoid the stares of the other citizens. His body was warm, it was almost therapeutic. You were half-asleep by the time Pierce arrived home. He set you gently onto the couch. Pierce gently planted a quick kiss onto your lips. It was almost like a fever dream, you were too tired to comprehend what happened. All you heard before drifting off to sleep was “Thank you for today, (y/n).”. And just like that, he disappeared into the wall. You didn’t know what the future would hold, but one thing was clear: You were beginning to catch feelings for the long-haired demon.

Asch x Reader | Freedom
Synopsis/ Author’s note: You were close with the prince of Daemos. In fact, he was in love with you. Key word: was. This is an angst fic that I was challenged to write. Having some writer’s block and wanted to create a less than 500 word fic as an exercise. Requests are being worked on, FYI.
Word Count: 495
Asch, prince of Daemos & second in line for the throne, has never fallen in love before; And does not plan to do so any time soon. Everyone knew it, he cared too much for his kingdom to completely absorb himself into such selfish endeavours. That was before you  came into his life. There was something about you, something that Asch couldn’t name; but somewhere deep down, somewhere inside his soul, he knew: you were the one.
The demon prince fell in love with you, and he fell hard. He felt vulnerable around you; his cold façade melted when you were with him. It was now clear: he wanted you, body and soul. To him, you were his everything…
It was a seemingly normal night for the demon prince. As he wandered the dimly lit halls of the castle, he spotted you, out on a balcony staring mindlessly into the distance. Something was on your mind… Asch stepped closer to you, his mind hazy from the sight of you. Your presence was intoxicating, you were his drug. Asch’s thoughts were interrupted by your voice.
“Oh, Prince Asch! I assume that your meeting went well?” You smiled. The prince glanced down at his feet.
“Yeah…” He lied.
“Stop lying, I Know that the crisis is getting worse.” You spat at him before turning back towards the balcony. There was tension in the air, both of you felt it. Perhaps to distract himself, he blurted out a question.
“What is love?” He wanted to slap himself for asking you something so stupid. His voice sent a jolt of electricity through you.
“Freedom…” You answered, turning to face Asch.
“Some of us might disagree with that.”
“well, we’ll just agree to disagree…” You shrugged before turning away towards your room.
“All right,” He stared at your back. “Goodnight, (y/n)… I’ll see you tomorrow.” You stopped in your tracks. Your mind was racing, did you want to tell him? Perhaps you should foreshadow your plans?
“… I don’t want to fly…” you stated, glancing back at Asch as you continued. “I want to soar. There’s something more to my purpose in life, Asch, I just know it.”
It was then when he realized what you meant. You were a free spirit, always looking for something more. The way you smiled, the way you moved, and the way you cared about the kingdom, Asch loved everything. He realized that you wanted to leave…
But he realized it too late. Asch raced like the wind to your room, adrenaline pumping through his veins. Perhaps if he was fast enough, he could still stop you. He wasted no time swinging your door open, but time had run out. You went out of his life as swiftly as you came into it. Your room was empty, and you were gone without a trace… gone with the wind…
He searched the room for any trace of you; but he only thing he found was a small parchment with the one word: ’Earth’…

future. | claude x reader
hi i am in desperate need of claude love so i wrote some. i hope u enjoy but i needed a quick break from requests to write some of my own ideas :) i also write so much longer and more when it’s not a request and idk why sorryyy
warnings: cursing i think idk, suggestive?
you tossed and turned in your bed. the dorm was quiet without sothis. this night was unsettling and silent, a heavy blanket of different emotions covering the monastery. anger, betrayal, sadness, fear. they all drifted through the halls and minds of sleeping and conscious students.
you were one of the conscious ones. you had tried for hours to sleep, but the bed seemed to be made of nails. each nail was stabbing you in the heart, making it heavier with each beat.
you couldn’t take it anymore. you couldn’t stand to be alone. you threw the blankets off of your body and wrapped your cloak around yourself, leaving your room into the chilly air.
the stone was cold beneath your feet as you glided quietly up the dormitory stairs, your mind knowing exactly where to take you. soon you were in front of a large wooden door, your hand raised to knock.
“come in.” the voice replied.
you opened the door and peaked in, your mind finding relief in the familiar and comforting face.
“hey teach,” claude smiled, “it’s late. what brings you here?”
you shook your head. “i can’t sleep.”
“i’m surprised. you’ve had an eventful week, if i were you i’d be knocked out.” he patted the bed beside him for you to join, “are you overthinking again?”
you padded to him and sat on the bed, shedding your cloak on the floor as the warmth invited you. “a little. im just afraid of what’s going to happen next. i used to sometimes console in my father in times like these, but i can’t quite do that now.”
claude looked at you, his eyes filled with a soft emotion. “you can console in me. im here for you, yknow.”
you nodded your head and turned to blow out his lamp. you slid down into his blankets and felt him do the same, his shoulder and arm touching your back as you laid away from him. it was silent for a few moments until you spoke up again.
“i’m scared. im so, so scared. without sothis, i don’t know what to do. she was my rock. and suddenly this war, and edelgard, i thought she was promising. i don’t know who to trust anymore,” you spilled.
claude stayed quiet, but his arm slipped under your head and wrapped around your shoulder, his fingertips running circles on your arm.
“i don’t want this new power. i want to have a normal year and teach with you guys. now no one will ever look at me the same. everyone’s already said they fear me.”
“wow,” claude breathed out, “that’s the most i’ve ever heard you talk. but i understand that. i can’t say i’ve been through what you have, because i haven’t lived with a goddess my entire life, but i can empathize. but, no matter who turns against you, i’ll always be here. everyone in the golden deer will, but even if they aren’t, i will be.
ill always look at you the same. ill always see you as y/n, the best professor and friend that i could ever have. and i just know that you’ll come out of this war okay, because ill be there to protect you.”
you giggled a little and turned to face him. “i think i’ll be the one protecting you.”
claude looked at you again with that fond look and faced you as well. “let me have this moment.”
his other arm wrapped around your waist and pulled you towards him. your legs tangled with each other as your hand rested on his chest. you smiled once more and laid your forehead against his chest as he rubbed your back and waist.
you were nearly asleep when you felt a pressure against the top of your head. you brushed it off as claude’s chin as he fell asleep, but then the pressure disappeared.
then reappeared.
and then it occurred to you that he was kissing the top of your head.
you lifted your head a little to look into his eyes and laid your hand against his cheek. “i’m going to do something, and i’m sorry if you don’t like it, but-“
your words were cut off by his lips pressing against yours. you were mad at first, but ignored that feeling as your heart flipped around in your chest. butterflies were an understatement.
claude tried to pull you even closer as one hand continued to rub your back while the other traveled down to your thigh, hoisting it over his hip. your hands tangled in his hair and twisted around his braid. you tugged slightly and he gasped, slightly pulling away.
“don’t do that now,” he whispered against your lips, “lorenz is in the room beside us and he never sleeps. he’ll hear.”
you smirked, “well, i guess we’ll just have to wait until we’re completely alone then, hm?”
he pressed a lingering kiss to the tip of your nose and pushed your head gently back against his chest, hand going to your hair to play with it. you inhaled, breathing in his comforting scent and feeling better.
“i’m not so worried about the future as long as you’re in it,” you said.
claude smiled, “and i feel the same, my love.”

to all the boys i've loved before x fire emblem three houses
claude x reader
this came to me at 3 in the morning
+part one+
xxx
There you were in a beautiful, endless field of evergreen grass, and there he was, Claude Von Riegan, with his back turned towards you but awaiting your arrival. You both knew it was frowned upon, falling for each other (seeing as your were a commoner and he was the heir to the Lester Alliance), but it didn't matter; you were in love.
He must want this since he's here.
You smiled as your hands skimmed against the tall grass. He heard your footsteps and turned to see you, he smiled back at you.
SMACK!
You jolted awake with a gasp.
Professor Byleth was standing infront you, she had dropped her lecture book on top of your desk. She gave you a dissapproving look.
"Sorry, professor..." You said.
Byleth merely shook her head and continued with class.
You rubbed your knees together and shifted your gaze downward. How could you fall asleep in class? You complete idiot! And right next to Claude too! Goddess, you could feel your cheeks burning with embarrassment.
Hilda's teasing will be relentless after this mishap. You dreaded the thought.
It was the mercy of the goddess that a few minutes later the bell rang, releasing you from any further embarrassment.
Not feeling up to Hilda's constant mockery, you left the classroom in a hurry. You didn't eat, you didn't walk around the monastery, you just went straight for your room. Not only to escape, Hilda but also to write something down: A letter.
If your classroom nap had revealed anything today is that your crush on Claude has increased, so much so, you were dreaming about him. So you wrote him a letter. You weren't going to send it or anything like that. The letter is for you to understand what you're feeling and let it all out in this one letter, then you'll put it away with the rest of the others.
Your letters are your most secret possessions. There are five in total: Stefan, a childhood friend. Sylvain, who you met at camp six years ago. Kevin, from a few towns over yours. Jonathan, who went to battle and died... May he rest in peace. And now, Claude.
Dear Claude Von Riegan,
You continued writing your feeling for this boy until you've run out of words, when you did you pulled out your small box and placed it with the others.
You keep your letters because they remind you of how powerful your emotions can become, and Hilda would say you're being dramatic.. but you think drama is fun as long as nobody knows about it.
"Y/N! What are you doing locked in your room?" Hilda said from outside your door.
You quickly closed the box and hid it under your bed.
Hilda came in and you had sheepish smile plastered on your face, trying not to act suspicious.
"Let's go eat!" You said enthusiastically.
You marched out infront of her making your way to the dining hall, unbeknownst to you that Hilda had seen your box peeking out the corner.
"Hm..." Hilda hummed, "I'll check it out later."
Which she did, and was she glad she did.
Love letters, you wrote love letters!
Hilda laughed as an idea popped into her head. She'd send them, not just one but all five.
Five chances at a boyfriend was better than none, right?
