So once again it happened but didn't happen

Late night thought : Adrien may know about Mari's identity

The clues we had about Adrien's feelings for Marinette in the movie leads me to that statement.

Like, that frickin dance under the fullmoon, how he seems to like spending time with her, how he looked at her with hope when his father told him to go back in France. This isn't how you act with a friend, in fact we don't even see him act like that with any other people like Nino or Alya for example.

The two people he seems to trust the most, to be the more confortable with, are Ladybug and Mari (that are, well, one person)

Chat noir being confortable around LB is normal, they fight evil everyday together.

But Marinette, she never really acted like a friend to him to be honest. She's always making "dumb things" around him, or trying to avoid him. But he, is still pushing himself toward her, talking to her as always as he can, holding her in great esteem. Why would he do that if she's never really returning him any friendness at all?

He literally calls her a hero. He says she helps people out, make sure everything is ok. Well honestly, if we only see the civilian Marinette, is she really doing that much to be called a hero? Or isn't Adrian overestimating her?

Don't get me wrong, Mari is an incredible person that just does so much for the others, she's incredible.

But, idk, when I hear Adrian talking about her, it feels more like he's praising an actual hero, like ladybug. Like he knows. That would explain why he keeps trying to be near her in civil, because he knows Mari and Ladybug are the same person, end that he loves her.

Am I really the only one thinking that Strickler is actually more an ***hole than Merlin?

He did a lot of bad things, for bad reasons. Jim was his fave student, but he didn't hesitated one second to try to kill him. He even attempted to in front of his mother. Even his "redemption" started only because he had personal interests in changing side.

But Merlin, did bad things because it has to be done that way for the greater good.

Yeah turning Jim to a troll like he did was pretty heartless, but as a human he had no chance to beat Gunmar. Yeah he let Morgana get free again to have his magic back, but it was the only way to get rid of her for good.

Hm, I was wondering why the TOA movie is called "Troll Hunter : rise of the titans" when it would have been more logical to be "Tales of Arcadia : Rise of the titans". But hey, maybe the truth is that we will not have one, or two, but THREE movies as they would all have the name of one of the series! Like, the 2021 movie will follow more closely the characters of Troll Hunter (Jim, claire, Toby, Bliky, and the other trolls), while a second film would be about 3Below characters (Aja, Krel, ect...) with the third film being a conclusion to all of them with the story of what happened with Douxy and the elf demigod (forgot her name, sry)
