Alamanda, Palm Cove

We haven't stayed here before but always used to use the Spa (back in the Angsana days) for special occasion massages. So it was good to stay at the Alamanda and discover it to be every bit as special as those massages used to be. Booking was effortless, Avril on the Reception was wonderful - always had a smile on her face - the resort itself was immaculate and the suite we stayed in was fantastic. Three good size bedrooms, two super bathrooms and an upstairs living area that we would all very happily move into. The kitchen was clean and very well appointed, the living area was huge and the verandah, too, was a good size. The grounds are well kept; the location - right on beautiful Palm Cove beach - perfect; and the swimming pools, especially the deep, natural pool, were great fun. And I got to have a super massage at the lovely Spa again. In a very competitive market, the Alamanda is right up there with the best of Palm Cove. We strongly recommend staying there and will, undoubtedly, be back. Reminded us how lucky we are to live in such a fabulous city as Cairns :-)

The Nadler, Kensington

We had a super stay at the Nadler. The hotel is in a super location in walking distance of museums and Harrods and very handy for the tube. The hotel is very clean and the staff lovely and very helpful. Our room was a little small for the three of us but was comfortable with a super bathroom. We would definitely stay again and would recommend The Nadler for a super short stay in London.

Hotel Joke, Paris

We loved the Hotel Joke. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean and heaps of fun and the breakfast and all-day snacks were just right. The location was super - an easy train ride from the airport, on the bus route and within walking distance of shops, cafes and, as we discovered, the city centre (if you do a little wine-bar hopping on the way back). We had a fabulous time: Paris is beautiful, the area around the Joke is exciting and the hotel itself was brilliant and excellent value. If we ever get to Paris again, we will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
