I have a bunch of things I really want to make over the next couple months, so I plan to be marginally more active soon. I miss making fanart!

Is there even a fandom that has been as thoroughly taken over by the fans as Danny Phantom has? There’s so much fanon its smothered the canon to the point you can’t believe its not actually canon.

this ask made me viscerally remember ROTG (lots of fandom-specific tropes) and the entire chunk of marvel fans who are still writing found-family fluff. (i know this for Reasons)

neither are quite the same, but they do make me think there might b other fandoms I’m just not familiar with?

(also, i have not checked, but if the sherlock fandom is still out there, they've probably surpassed us in disdain for their source material.)

but yeah seeing canon screenshots from the good episodes is always kinda wild. like. there have been multiple times where i see something and I’m like “oh cool someone made canon-styled art for that fanficti- wait fuck”
