rivals to lovers with bakugou

pairing: katsuki bakugou x gn!reader
tags: rivalry, mutual feelings, idiots in love, lots of fighting (as in training fights), petty bakugou

you had caught katsuki's eye ever since you defeated the boy on one of your first days at UA
you were on a team with izuku, playing the heroes, while katsuki was on a team with iida, playing the villains
you and izuku had defeated him that day and katsuki swore that he would never lose against any of the two of you again!
he kept giving his all, whenever he got the chance. during the sports festival, the license exam and the internships
the two of you always had similar results, always scoring just a point more or less than the other
katsuki hated that he never got to win against you. those small wins by a point or two wasn't what he wanted!
he wanted to crush you and show you how powerful he really was!
his little rivalry with you slowly started to turn into an obsession
he learned all the small things about you, in an attempt to use them against you
he knew your fighting style better than anyone else!
he knew you better than anyone else!
before he realized it, his resentment towards you had faded away and instead was replaced with affection
he knew you so well and he had fallen in love with those small things about you
katsuki still pretended to hate you, to keep the rivalry going, but he started to get softer around you
you noticed that he'd let you win certain fights. or how he would only end a fight when you were pinned underneath him, instead of knocking you out like he used to
it didn't take a genius to realize that katsuki had fallen in love with you
and perhaps he would start to notice soon, that you had been in love with him for even longer…

Keigo is not materialistic.
He values a partner being down to earth, in that sense— not hyperfocused on any status or price tags or the supposed social credit that comes courtesy of dating a pro hero.
It makes sense that he'd be perfectly content with the bare necessities, and he's happy to have a partner who shares those same values.
...Until a point.
You telling him, "I don't need anything fancy! Don't worry about it, Kei." in reference to something you clearly, unconciously want is going to make him "worry about it."
He's not being contrarian, he swears; it's just that he felt his left eye twitch a little for some reason when you assured him so sweetly that you don't really buy yourself "nice things" like that. You said it with that stupid, godforsaken genuineness etched onto your pretty face; and it clicked something in him, irreparably.
Keigo is perfectly capable of providing for you, thank you very much. He's so good at it, trust him— he can provide for you, damn it.
He nods to himself, repeating that same phrase, laptop in hand, as he rummages through his desk drawer to find his old debit card that probably has a couple hundred thousand on it or whatever at this point. Hey, don't ask him. He never checked.
Don't be surprised when Keigo waltzes through the doorway a few days later with his feathers propping up packages of all sizes. He kicks the door closed behind him as he barges in, chirping, "Hey babe? You said you liked this website, but you didn't have a wishlist, so I got 'ya everything just in case! You don't mind, do you?"
Money means nothing to him; but you sure as hell do, and Keigo will use any resources necessary to ensure it gets through your thick skull how much you deserve to be treated like royalty.

Shoto Todoroki | Family Meetings

You let out a huff while walking through the door, sloppily kicking your shoes off of your sore feet and haphazardly dropping your bag off of your shoulder.
You let out a sigh that leaned into a whine of exhaustion.
You paused however. Usually when getting home, you’d get two little kids running up to you. One jumping up and down telling you about his day, and the other clinging to your leg whining about how she missed you.
But there was nothing.
You moved to walk further into your home, choosing to go to the kitchen first.
You paused, seeing your husband stood in front of the table. His arms crossed and a stern look on his face while he stared at the little boy.
The boy, a stubborn kid with a stubborn pout while he refused to look at his father.
“Sho..” you spoke his name, gaze looking back at him.
He looked over at you. He saw the questioning gaze you gave him.
“It wasn’t me, I told you, papa!” Shion spoke up.
“Quiet, Shion.” You told him, voice soft yet stern.
“Sho.” You looked back to him.
“The school called saying Shion stole something from another kid. The parents are furious.” He told you.
“Wasn’t me!!” Shion announced loudly, voice trailing off into a frustrated groan.
Shoto would never hurt his kids, neither you. He vowed to never become his father. And he was true to his word. You never worried he’d ever go back on that, not once.
“Where’s Himari?” You asked softly.
“Her room.” He told you.
“Alright, you go check on her while I talk to him,” you told her, a gentle hand on his arm.
He looked down at you, the frustrated look in his gaze dwindling. Face softening. You gave him a soft smile, one reassuring him you could deal with the mess Shion might or might not have caused.
Shoto let out a sigh, pulling you into him with an arm around your shoulders and kissing your temple before leaving the kitchen to go check on your daughter.
“Shion,” you spoke his name, moving to sit next to him at the table. “Tell me.”
He broke out into a frustrated rant, one you almost couldn’t understand because of how fast he was talking. “Mama, mama, it wasn’t me! Promise it wasn’t!! That Rin kid, she’s got it out for me. Swear! I saw Hizashi take it, I did!” Your brows furrowed, trying to keep up.
You reached out a hand, smoothing down his unruly red hair. “Okay, okay,” you spoke up, “hey, Shi, calm down.” You shushed him gently. “Take a breath with me, okay?”
You took a moment, waiting for him to calm down a little before getting a curt nod from him.
You took a breath in. He took a breath in.
You held it. He held it.
You let it out. He let it out.
And repeat.
“Okay.” You said, “Calmer?” You questioned, getting a nod from the boy. “Alright, start from the beginning.”
“Okay,” he started, giving a nod, “So, this Rin girl. I swear she’s got it out for me and I don’t know why! I try to be nice but she’s just mean!” He started, hands flailing in the air as he spoke and you listened. “Today, she was going around showing everyone this cool jacket she got! And later, I swear I saw Hizashi swipe it! I did, really I did! I tried to get it back but when I took it from him, Rin saw I had it and started blaming me for stealing it! And I tried to tell the teach but she just wouldn’t believe me! Hizashi even started blaming me too!!” He puffed his cheeks out.
A cute habit the boy had. Whenever he got frustrated or annoyed, he’d puff his cheeks out. You were never sure where he got it from, but it was adorable none the less.
“Alright, okay,” you raised your hand again, smoothing your thumb over his cheek gently. “It’s okay, my love, I believe you.” You spoke softly.
“You do..?” He asked softly, voice shaking a bit. It was like he didn’t believe you.
You gaze softened, lips curling up into a slight smile. “Yes, I do.”
Shion was your perfect boy. He’d never do anything wrong. He’d crouch down with his baby sister, Himari, watching ant trails. Grabbing her wrist with a gentle yet firm hand when she would reach out to touch them. Reprimanding her with a gentle word.
“No, Mari, no touching. Fire ants, they hurt.”
“Go to your room, love,” you told him, “go brush your teeth and change, me and your father will talk to you in a bit, okay?”
He sucked in a breath, looking down for a moment before nodding. “Okay..” his voice was quiet before he stood up, going to his room to do what you told him.
“Your day?” You heard Shoto’s voice from behind you.
You turned to look at him, staring at his features for a moment. “It was.. It was okay.” You said softly, thinking over the busy day for a moment while looking down at your hands and the table. “Didn’t expect to come home to this,” you let out a huff of laughter.
Shoto’s gaze fell from you to the ground for a sec, “I know, I’m sorry.”
“Hm..?” you looked up at him, “What?” You questioned.
“C’mere,” he didn’t elaborate for why he was sorry, only opened an arm out to you.
You got up almost immediately, moving towards him and into his arms. Wrapping your own around his neck and pulling his down into a hug.
One you both needed.
“Shion didn’t do it.” You told him.
“I know.” He responded.
“Rin’s parents?” You inquired.
“Mad.” He answered.
“Hm.” You hummed.
A silence enveloped the both of you. A comfortable one. One you both adored.
“Mama..” You heard a quiet voice from the hall just around the corner Shoto was standing in front of.
You moved back from his arms, peeking around him to see your little girl. She’d gotten your features and your hair.
“Hm,” a smile coming to your face. “My girl,” you hummed. Moving away from Shoto and to her, arms out to swoop her into a loving hug.
“Missed you..” She muttered into your shoulder as you picked her up.
“Really? Cause I missed you more.” You spoke, nuzzling your cheek against hers.
“Nuh-uh!!” She looked at you, brows furrowed.
Shoto stood behind you, leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and a soft adoring smile set on his lips while he watched the two of you.
“Shion!” You called for the boy, moving to peek into the bathroom to see him brushing his teeth.
“Huh?” He called back to you, it muffled considering the suds in his mouth.
“Come to our room when you’re done,” you told him.
“Kay!” He called out to you after you and Shoto started to move down the hall to your shared room.
“Sleep with mama and papa?” Himari asked softly, voice tired.
“Mhm,” you hummed.
“Shishi too?” She asked, peeking over your shoulder to see Shion come out of the bathroom.
“If he wants.” You told her as you sat on the bed, leaning into Shoto’s embrace when he opened his arms.
“What?” Shion asked when he got to your room. “Am I still in trouble?”
You shook your head, beckoning to come over to the bed. Which he did so without question.
“You’re not in trouble,” you told him.
“Really?” He asked, looking towards Shoto.
“You’re not.” He told him, that soft smile still on his face. “I was just caught up with everything, I wasn’t sure what to think and I was stressed.”
“But Mama saved the day!” Shion announced, jumping onto your lap.
“Hero Mama!” Himari called out from Shoto’s arms after he’d pulled her into them.
“Yeah, Hero Mama always saves the day,” Shoto teased, prompting a laugh out of you.
“Hero Mama, huh?” You questioned, getting a nod from Shion.
“Hero Mama is the best!” He gave you a toothy grin.

Dabi / Touya Todoroki | Brother of Mine
Phantom Notes | PLATONIC, more fem!reader, visiting Dabi in hospital, Dabi survived, Todoroki reader, reader is younger than Shoto, just roll with stuff that doesn’t necessarily make sense, I’m not at all caught up in mha

Fuyumi sighed, watching you, “Please, be careful..” Her voice was soft. She wasn’t planning to stop you. She knew she couldn’t. You were stubborn. A trait almost all of her sibling had.
You looked over your shoulder at her, a soft smile reaching your lips after a moment when you turned to look at her, “Don’t worry, Yumi. I’ll be fine.” You told her.
Fuyumi sighed again, reaching out to grab your hand when you offered it to her. You held her hand for a moment before letting it slip out of her grip and exiting the home that was never truly a home.
Fuyumi was the only thing that made it a home for you.
Fuyumi was the only sense of stability you had.
Your mother was in the mental hospital for a majority of your life before of Endeavor. Shoto was always training with him. You’d see him crying a lot. And honestly, you were jealous when UA implemented dorms. He was able to get out.
But you were only a year younger than him. Too young to go to UA yet.
You looked at your phone when it buzzed.
> Yumi (7:23 am): Be. Careful.
You rolled your eyes, putting your phone away and looking across from you where you sat on the bus.
“Mama,” a little girl pulled on her mother’s sleeve, “Mama.”
“What?” Her mother looked down at the girl.
“Want ice cream.” The little girl told her.
The mother looked down at her for a moment before a soft smile came to her face, “Alright. We can get some ice cream.”
You watched the two. You hated moments like these. Moments when your attention would move to fathers and/or mother with their children. Fathers and mothers who loved their kids. Who would do anything for them.
Mothers who weren’t abused. Fathers who weren’t abusers.
You were jealous. Even if you wanted to deny it, you couldn’t.
The bus came to a stop. You stood from your seat, staying a moment to help an elderly woman just getting on sit down where you had sat.
You looked up at the hospital. No doubt bustling inside.
“Hello,” the woman greeted you.
“Hi.” You gave her a soft smile.
“Will you be visiting today?” She asked, clicking a few buttons on the computer before moving to grab a piece of paper and a clip board.
“Yeah, I will.” You told her, taking the clipboard and pen out of her hand.
“That’s nice,” she smiled. She looked sweet. “What’s your name and who will you be visiting?”
“My name is Y/n Todoroki, and. Um..” You hesitated for a moment. You had never said his name before. “I’ll be visiting Touya.. Todoroki..” Hour voice was soft. But she heard it.
You knew she did. Her eyes widened and lips fell agape as she stared at you. “Alright just.. Fill out the paper there.” She told you, trying to keep the shock off of her face. She was unsuccessful.
You nodded, moving over in case anyone else were to come in.
You scribbled down your name, your age, your quirk. And you paused over name of who your visiting and their information.
‘How do I know him? You said your yourself in your head. It was a checklist. You could check off how you knew them.
⬜️ Father
⬜️ Mother
⬜️ Brother
⬜️ Sister
⬜️ Friend
⬜️ Other
Your hand froze over the ‘brother.’ Could you even call him that? You were born after he ‘died.’ You never knew him apart from any story Fuyumi told you. Natsuo would avoid the topic any chance he got.
You scribbled in the box, handing the paper over to the woman at the desk.
“Okay, um..” she looked over the paper. “5th floor, room 538.” She told you, giving you a glance.
“Okay, thank you.” You told her, giving a soft smile she reciprocated before you moved to walk away.
You stood quietly in the elevator, clicking buttons people who would get on asked for.
“Papa,” your gaze moved to the little boy holding on to his father’s hand. His father hummed. “Will mama be okay?” Your heart practically broke as you listened silently.
“Yeah..” The father responded after a moment, “She’ll be fine..” His voice was quiet, as if he was trying to convince himself too.
The ding of the elevator set off. You looked up to see what floor it was. 5.
You felt a pit of anxiety grow in your stomach. Like a weed in a garden. You let out a soft breath as you moved forward, exiting the elevator.
The floor was quiet for the most part. You listened to the sound of your shoes as you walked. Looking into some rooms as you passed.
503.
504.
You looked down at the floor.
515.
516.
517.
518.
You let out a shaky breath, looking at your feet again.
528.
529.
530.
You flexed your hands. Clenching them and unclenching them. Popping your fingers.
536.
537.
538.
You froze in front of the room. Staring at the number. Your heart was beating fast in your chest. The door was cracked open, but not enough you could see anything or anyone.
You shuffled a foot moved, going to knock on the door but hesitating.
You shook your head gently. Trying to shake out your nerves which didn’t work.
Your fist settled on the door a few times in a soft knock. At least just trying to make anyone aware you were about to come in.
You pushed the door open gently and slowly. Almost cautiously. Almost fearfully.
You peeked in when you could see more, you saw him in bed.
You could tell how much pain he was in.
His eyes were just barely open. His gaze settled over at the door.
You pushed the door open a bit farther, moving just a bit into the room so he could see you a bit better and you could see him a bit better.
He stared.
You averted your gaze to the floor.
“Who in the hell are you?” His voice was hoarse.
“I..” you looked up at him quickly, almost startled. “I’m um..” you let out a soft breath. “Y/n Todoroki.”
You almost saw what you assumed might be shock.
“I um..” you weren’t sure what to say. You probably planned out some like.. speech or something.
“Well you’ve grown up.” His voice broke your thoughts.
“What..?” You asked softly.
“You’ve grown.” He said, voice quieter.
You moved out of the doorway and a little farther into the hospital room.
“You look like mom.” He said abruptly.
You paused, staring at him for a moment.
In truth, you looked a lot like Fuyumi too. But the red in your hair was more scattered around, at your roots, the middle, and the tips.
You inherited your mom’s gray eyes too.
“You think..?” You asked softly. Almost awkwardly. You fidgeted with your hands at your front.
“Yeah..” He spoke, his gaze traveling over your face. “Especially the eyes.”
You looked down at your hands for a quick moment.
“You can see your emotions in your eyes.” He said, “Just like mom.”
You moved to grab a chair, moving it closer to the side of his bed before you sat down.
“How..” you looked at him. “How is she?” He asked, voice still hoarse. You stared at him for a moment.
“She’s.. She’s well.” You told him with a curt nod. “She was finally released from the Psychiatric ward. Just a little while before..” You paused.
“The war.” He finished your sentence.
“Yeah..” Your voice was quiet.
A silence fell over the room. One that wasn’t so uncomfortable, but very awkward for you.
“Why are you here?” He asked bluntly.
“I..” you looked at him. “I just..” you looked down for a moment. You took in a breath, calming yourself down.
You were alone a lot. Being the youngest in the Todoroki family was undoubtedly hard. Not as hard as being any of the oldest, but..
You were pushed to the side. Endeavor had gotten the quirk he wanted out of Shoto and he put all of his attention and time and effort into Shoto. He didn’t care about you.
Natsuo was always trying to get away from the house. Rei was in the Psychiatric Ward a majority of your life.
Fuyumi was all you had. She took it upon herself to raise you.
“I’m in your debt Fuyumi,” you told your older sister.
“Huh!” She looked at you, almost startled. “What! Don’t even say that!”
“You raised me, that wasn’t your job, Yumi.” You told her, “therefore, I am in your debt!”
“I was just worried about you.” You finally said.
“Worried..?” He repeated, looking over at you. “You don’t know me.”
“I’m sorry for what Endeavor did..” You told him abruptly, looking down.
“Don’t apologize for that asshole,” he told you.
“I’m not apologizing for him,” you said. “I’m apologizing for what you had to go through.”
He was at a loss for words as he stared at you. You were stubborn. It was so easy to tell.
You were stubborn like him and Natsuo.
But the care in your eyes.. that was undoubtedly like Fuyumi’s.
That’s a dangerous combination. The stubbornness of him and Natsuo and the caring kindness of Fuyumi.
He let out a huff. “What’s your quirk?”
“Scalding Frost.” You told him, “I can create a frost like mom’s, but it’s all incredibly hot so the frost melts almost instantly. But I can control the hot water once it melts.”
“Hm..” he hummed.
You sat in the quiet for awhile. You staring down at your fidgeting hands, him stuck in his thoughts while staring at the plain ceiling.
You looked Rei. You had her eyes you could see every emotion in. You could see all the care, all the worry.
He saw it immediately when you had peeked into the hospital room.
“You give Endeavor hell?” He asked abruptly.
“Huh?” You looked at him before getting what he meant, “Oh!” You practically lit up. “Mhm, mhm,” you hummed while nodding your head. “I can’t give him hell like Natsuo or Shoto. But I give him the cold shoulder a lot!”
“Heh,” a lazy smirk of amusement came reached his lips, “good.”
Your eyes widened slightly. He looked. Almost proud.. Proud that you would give your so called father the cold shoulder.
Your heart warmed.
He was.. Proud. Proud of you. You..
“I should probably get going!” You stood up abruptly.
He looked at you.
“I’ll try to visit again tomorrow,” you promised, looking at him.
“Don’t worry about it.” You waved you off.
“No,” He looked at you, “I’m going to visit again tomorrow!” You told him stubbornly. “I just have training, but I’ll visit after that!”

Being a girl is: wanting to go to bed early but deciding to just get on tumblr/wattpad/Ao3 for a little bit and then end up finding a fic series that you really like and read until well past your usual bedtime then keeping on because it’s already past your bedtime. Then being mad when you wake up in the morning because you overslept your timer.

Bakugo Katsuki | Hovering

You let out a quiet huff. Looking up at the wall as if there was some reality show camera you were looking at to show your annoyance.
“Katsuki.” You addressed him softly.
“Hm?” He hummed gruffly.
“Your hovering,” you stated blankly, looking over your shoulder at him.
“No, ‘m not. I’m just makin’ sure you’re doing it right.” He spoke, his voice gruff like his hum. But it was gentle. Gentler than when he spoke to Midoriya or Kirishima.
“Yeah, okay,” you spoke softly, looking down at what you were doing again. “But you’re hovering.” You repeated.
“No m’ not.” He repeated himself.
Katsuki Bakugo hovers. He hovers over you and others when you’re doing a task. Usually he hovers when cooking is the task, or even cleaning. He hovers and denies that he is. It’s not that he doesn’t trust you with the task, but it’s just that. He trusts you to do it, but not to get it right. He trusts you to clean, but not to clean correctly. He trusts you to cook, but not to do it correctly. Hell, he trusts you to do your homework, but definitely not to do it correctly.
He does this with everyone. Study nights with your friends turn into Bakugo hovering over you, Kirishima, Denki, and Mina’s shoulders to make sure you get the material correct.
Bakugo barely even trusts you to take care of your own life. He’ll hover over you while he makes sure you deep clean your dorm room thoroughly. He’ll help if you need him to or you doing something ‘wrong’ irks him enough.
He loves you. He loves you more than anyone or thing in the world. Even if it’s a bit hard to believe with his gruff exterior and personality. But he does, he loves you. That’s why he hovers. He hovers instead of screaming. He hovers to make sure you’re doing it correctly and will correct you and show you if you aren’t. He would scream at Todoroki or Iida. Telling them
“YOURE DOING IT WRONG, JUST LET ME DO IT LOSER!”
“YOU PEOPLE CANT DO ANYTHING RIGHT”
“YOURE WORTHLESS, MOVE OVER”
But you? You get special treatment from our favorite anger issues having boy.

Shoto Todoroki | Arranged to marry after UA pt. 2
(I’m not sure how I’m feeling about this one)

Desperation radiated from you like heat radiates from the sun. Desperation to feel safe as you clawed at your clothing. Desperation to feel okay as you tried to settle your frantic gaze on something. Anything.
You felt pathetic like this.
You were in class 1-A and had fought actual villains along side your classmates. Yet you couldn’t even handle your own nightmares.
You sloppily threw your blanket off of yourself, not caring where it ends up. You stumbled out of bed, catching yourself on the desk in your dorm room. Your legs shook, threatening to give out from underneath you.
You let out a whine. One of fear, frustration, and desperation as you pushed yourself to the door.
Where you were going? You didn’t have much of a clue yourself.
You opened your door, closing it behind you before moving your arms to hug yourself tightly. Your nails dug into your arms, trying to use that as some sort of distraction as you walked through the quiet halls of the dorms.
The only sound being that of your bare feet padding against the floor with each step. You were too panicked to even think of putting on your slippers.
You were paranoid. Aware of your every move, every breath, every beat of your heart.
The one thing, however, you were not aware of. Was that your feet you let take control, brought you to the last door you wanted to be outside of.
Shoto Todorki’s.
Your husband to be after graduation.
You raised one shaky and hesitant fist, taking a quick and shaky breath before knocking. Trying to be quiet to avoid waking up anyone else.
Nothing was heard within the dorm.
Another knock.
You heard a shuffle from behind the door. You brought your arm to hug yourself again, still digging your nails into your arms.
The door knob turned before the door was pulled open.
You were staring down. Seeing his feet when he opened the door.
You heard him let out a soft breath of surprise. “Y/n..” He spoke your name, unsure of what exactly to say at first. He must have noticed your posture. “What is it?”
“I..” You froze. Tightening your arms around yourself. You stayed quiet after that. And Shoto stayed patient.
He watched silently as you slowly and hesitantly lifted your head. Your gaze was vulnerable. Something he hadn’t seen from you before.
“Tell me what’s wrong.” Shoto spoke up. His voice stern yet somewhat gentle.
Your gaze went past him for a moment, maybe mulling over his words in your head?
You started to just barely shake your head before speeding the movement up. “No..” Your voice soft. Quiet and shaky. “No, no.” Your gaze grew more vulnerable, lips pursing as you averted your gaze from him.
Shoto moved in an instant. Quick just like the time before. But this time his intentions were different.
They weren’t to confront you or accuse you. They were to comfort you. Even though he wasn’t quite sure what he needed to comfort you from, it was obvious you needed something.
He grabbed one of your forearms with one hand, and his other wrapped around your waist to pull you towards him.
He held you. He held you and didn’t say a word. Not that he was even sure what to say.
He heated up his left hand just enough for his hand to be soothingly warm. He brushed that hand along your back. Rubbing it gently, trying to soothe your mind so you could calm down.
You barely registered he pulled you into his room, closing the door behind you both.
“Come,” his voice was gentle yet still monotone. You hadn’t heard his voice like this. Gentle. Caring.
You listened.
You let him lead you to his bed and you sat on the side of it.
“Get some rest,” he told you gently, “I’ll be right here.”
You looked up at him. You were quiet. He stared back at you with his heterochromic eyes.
“Y/n,” he said, trying to get your attention. He could tell you weren’t really there. Weren’t really paying attention.
“Yeah..?” Your voice was soft still.
“Get some rest,” he repeated.
He put a gentle hand on your shoulder, gently pushing you to lay down in his bed. He grabbed the blanket that had been thrown to the side when he had gotten up and he draped it over your figure.
Why you came to him, neither of you knew. But regret or anger wasn’t there. Not from either of you.
Not while you slowly drifted off in his comfortable bed, surrounded by his scent.
Not while he watched over you.

beep, beep, beep!
another customer, you sigh, straightening your posture as you dust off the shirt of your uniform. working at a convenience store sure was boring..
your eyes widened slightly, noticing the familiar man; he’s quite.. odd, to say the least. he wears a heavy leather jacket, and he seems to have more piercings each time he stops by to buy yet another, box of pitch black hair dye.
the first time he came in, he walked over to the counter where you were stood — shaking nervously, thinking that he was a robber — and asked in a gruff voice; “this is the darkest shade you’ve got, yeah?”
you were surprised, he had the prettiest white hair you’ve ever seen! it almost reminded you of an old friend. why would he want to dye it?
however, it wasn’t your place to inquire about his choice of hair colour, so you simply nodded and continued to live your life as you would.
he was a regular customer from then on.
he’d step inside the store, teal eyes scanning the area as his eyes land on your form. you, the woman at the cashier.
he had to admit, you were nice to look at; pretty features, and a good figure.
he didn’t even bother acknowledging you, though. instead he trudged towards the box dye section — it was muscle memory at this point.
when he finally stood in front of you at the counter, he felt today was a little different. somehow.
“hello, sir. will this be all for today?” you ask, same as every other time. your fingers are tapping at the cash register; you already know what he’s going to say.
“no, actually.” he cuts you off. “i need something else..” he’d start, peering up at you through his lashes.
you can’t hide the slightly surprised expression on your face as you nod slowly, raising an eyebrow.
“can i get your number?” he purrs, leaning over the counter as one hand digs into the pocket of his jacket.
why did he say that? he asks himself.
“oh?” you say, eyes wide. “i mean, alright— um, give me a moment.”
you’re quick to print out his receipt and pull out a pen, scribbling down your number with a small smiley face next to it.
“here.” you breathe out, looking back up at the intimidating man.
he nods in response, an unreadable expression on his face as he folds the receipt and stuffs it in his pocket.
he waves slightly, before making his way back out of the store — was it always this hot, or was summer approaching?

bakugou is absolutely a goof at times.
sure, he is mostly stern and big ballin’ shit.
but the moments he gets a little loose, hes a goofball. but he also annoys you.
“baby.” he says, standing behind you. he leans against the island table and stares down at you while you cook whatever meal you both were craving.
“yes?”
“baby.”
“yes??”
“baby!”
“what!?” you shout, looking back to him and he has a shit eating grin. you wanted to pop him right there, but he started to giggle a little.
“you so fuckin’ pretty.”
or he likes to give head doogies, putting you into s head lock and pressing his knuckles into your head.
“get the fuck!—“
“my little knucklehead.”
or especially when it comes to social media, tiktok especially. he does whatever little dance you bring to him but does something weird. he can never be serious in them.
hes a hidden child at heart, always doing something to annoy you. (this also includes rough housing, you might land a good smack on his good arm and hes laughing in pain, immediately hitting you back. just to get the same spot hit.)
and bakugou wouldnt trade this for the world, knowing he can finally get past this rough exterior.

Shoto Todorki | arranged to be married after UA

Your eyes widened. You could barely react he moved so fast.
Todoroki’s fist gripped and curled into your shirt to get a better grip as he pushed you back into the wall forcefully. He was still mindful you didn’t hit you head.
“What are you aiming at, huh, Y/n?” His voice and his glare was low and cold as he stared at you.
“I get you don’t want to marry me,” He looked to the side for just a moment before looking back at you, “but do you know how bad it makes you look flirting with that guy?”
Your stunned expression slowly curled into one of annoyance and exasperation. “Let me go, Todoroki!” You spat out, a scowl on your own face.
He didn’t listen. “This arrangement is the last thing either of us want, that isn’t news. But you have to least try to make this work, Y/n.”
You let out a scoff. You reached a hand up, roughly pushing him away with a hand to his chest.
He didn’t fight against that. He let you push him away. His grip on your shirt slipping as he took a few steps back.
The tension in the air was thick. Thick enough to cut with a knife.
“For your information,” you started, “I wasn’t flirting.” You spat out, turning on your heel and beginning to walk away.
You didn’t turn back.
And Shoto didn’t call out to you.
