Very good question! He's actually a fox, alongside most of the characters with the "Mono(blank)" name! It took me a while to decide on this, because originally he was just a cat, but after I decided to make Kiibo a fox I decided making Monokuma one would fit as well!

I naturally went for drawing Shuichi since he’s just 💥💥 and Kaito’s design was rlly eye catching so I thought why not draw him too? Besides they’re both happy to spend quality time with each other.

Things from my non-despair AU #7:

Due to how I headcanon Kokichi's backstory, and the reality of DICE, the title Ultimate Supreme Leader doesn't really work for Hope's Peak to give him, so I decided to change his title to Ultimate Trickster. He still claims he is the Ultimate Supreme Leader when he first meets his classmates, but he eventually reveals that that's a lie, but still claims he has a secret organization that he leads.

Which isn't a lie, per se, but he plays up how big DICE is by 9,990 people lmao

I personally still think he can fit into the role of antagonist, and I think he can be seen as such without damaging the overall story. Granted I fully went through SDR2 either close to or over 2 years ago now, so maybe I'm just misremembering exactly how he acted throughout the whole game, but I don't think I am
