An ALARMING number of FATHERS are HAVING SEX with their DAUGHTERS, What is going on in WEST AFRICA?
Something is happening across West Africa, this is something that was so rare and even in times passed unheard of, but in recent times there is something wrong with the minds of those who are supposed to be elders and the youths of today.
There seems to be something wrong with the minds and hearts of people around the world but as the Anago Man, I am here to address these issues as they affect…

The six pleaded guilty.
If they cannot pay the fine they will face a prison term of five years.
At least 50 people are…

It is rather unfortunate that we have to witness the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, him at the prime of his life and the daughter while so young, I only pray that God helps the remaining of his family get through this trying time of loss.
I have never actually been a fan of basketball, I am so ignorant of how basketball as a game works that I am not even familiar with the rules of the game. People like Michael Jordan, Shaq O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson and Lebron James are names that you must come across if you must exist in cyber space, so this vague familiarity is the extent to which I knew the name and the man Kobe Bryant before his passing.
Since his passing, we have seen an attempt of a mostly white group try to exchange the huge legacy of the legend Kobe Bryant with on of sexual molestation and filth. When ever my caucasian counter-parts attempt to assassinate the character of a black man like this, it often indicates that the man is larger than life with a legacy that will inspire some and for others something to aspire to.
All through the ages every single black legend or hero who has lived and died have gone through the same stages of rise to stardom, a brief moment at the top, subsequent accuse of one form or the other, assassination or imprisonment and after that, his or her legacy subverted by one single offence which will be blown out of proportion.
For you to understand my train of thought let us talk examples:
Honorable Patrice Lumumba
Last Picture Taken of Honorable Patrice Lumumba
Patrice Émery Lumumba was a Congolese politician and independence leader who served as the first Prime Minister of the independent Democratic Republic of the Congo from June until September 1960. He played a significant role in the transformation of the Congo from a colony of Belgium into an independent republic. In January 2016, it was reported that a tooth of Lumumba was confiscated in the former home of police officer Gerard Soete who died in June 2000 during the parliamentary enquiry. In his 1978 novel, the Belgian who helped dissolve Lumumba’s body in acid described the taking of two teeth, two fingers and bullets from the body, reports Brussels Times.
Robert Mugabe, was at one time a leader with the same ideals as Patrice Lumumba, he wanted the complete financial and authoritarian liberation of Zimbabwe from White power, when he showed his willingness to carry out that goal, he was frustrated through sanctions and covert interference aimed at frustrating any policy he implemented. He is now dead and his legacy is left to debate, was he a tyrant or a man that wanted to do his best not to give his country into the authority and mercy of the white man.
Muamar Al-Ghaddafi was a spearhead and driving force for a true African Union, free from colonial intervention and powerful enough to protect itself from all attacks, his vision was the same as those of the great liberators of all African countries but today, he is remembers are a tyrant dictator and not as a man who valued African Union and created a country richer and more prosperous than most of the West and didn’t need the West for anything.
Michael Jackson, owned his masters and that of the beetles, He was talking about leaving sony and owning half of it, they tried to assassinate his character while he was alive and couldnt, he is dead today and his although he may be the greatest musician and entertainer that ever lived, his legacy today is one of Child Molestation and drug abuse, this overshadowed 50 years of hard work and sacrifice to his craft.
I believe the aim of this is to discourage other black men from thinking larger than they should, they cant only kill our heroes, they must assassinate their character as well so we have no reason to follow them, this is like taking a man’s life twice. Where ever this ideology of wickedness comes from, it has got to be very wicked because only a truly wicked being wants to obliterate the life and essence of another human being from existence.
There is the Doctor Herbalist and nutritionist Dr. Sebi, others like Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, Dr. Khalid Abdul Muhammed, Honorable Marcus Garvey, Dr.Kwame Nkrumah, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, General Muritala Mohammed, Emperor Haile Selassie and Bob Marley.
Master Dr. Sebi
Dr. Malcolm X
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr
Dr. Khalid Muhammed
Honorable Marcus Messiah Garvey
Honorable Dr. Kwame Nkrumah
Honorable Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe
General Murtala Mohammed
Emperor Haile Selassie
Bob Marley
Not all these men where revolutionary in their message, some of them where killed for just what they represented. Like in the case of Master Dr. Sebi who was put to death for his revolutionary work on treating some of the most terrible illnesses with simple natural remedies and nutrition. Big Pharma (The pharmaceutical industry) has demonstrated over the years that anyone who challenges it or even threatens to expose it, often meets untimely ends. Do not take my word for it, just do a google search of all those who have been a threat to big pharma.
There have been more than one cure to HIV which is more successful than anything on the market, but they have either been shut down or killed, same with cancer and other diseases. The pharmaceutical industry is one driven purely by profits, the profits it enjoys from most diseases are immense, we can not have a system where every sickness is cure permanently, it will sky rocket population and it will reduce profits, two things which must NEVER happen.
Whether you are from Africa or you are an African in America or elsewhere, if you ever try to create a level for yourself were your movement or activity threatens to liberate other black people physically or mentally from the global oligarchs who happen to be zionists or white supremacists MOSTLY, your character will first be assassinated through covert means or you will end up dead before you can achieve it, even after your death your character will continue to be assassinated to make sure that you are not turned into a martyr or an image of inspiration and strength for the rest of the people.
Kobe Bryant before his rape case in 2003 had a near perfect record in and out of the courts, in the 2002 Finals, against the New Jersey Nets, Bryant averaged 26.8 points, 51.4% shooting, 5.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists per game, which included scoring a quarter of the team’s points. At age 23, Bryant became the youngest player to win three championships. With this statistics it was quite clear that Kobe Bryant was on his way to become a national treasure and with no blemish to his personal records, of cause conveniently he was accused of rape just a few months later after becoming the youngest player to win three championships.
REASONS WHY I BELIEVE HE WAS KILLED
HIS LAWSUIT WITH HI-TECH PHARMACEUTICALS
On January 6th 2020, Yahoo News published a recent report on Kobe Bryant and his long, drawn out legal battle with big pharma company Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals. According to the Yahoo News report, Kobe Bryant was trying to hash out a settlement in the battle with a pharma company over “Black Mamba” before heading to trial. In his newest filings, Kobe was asking the trademark board to side with him once and for all. For the first time, Kobe has alleged Hi-Tech’s products contain substances banned by the FDA as a “dietary supplement.”
Kobe said he recently became aware of concerns “raised by both the FDA as well as the USPTO about the legality of the substances contained within the Product.”
He believed “the product, marketed and sought to be registered as a ‘dietary supplement,’ has contained and continues to contain prohibited substances by the FDA: DMAA and Methylsynephrine.”
He was suing for malpractice and also the use of his name in their medication, the company stood to lose hundreds of millions in the lawsuit as well as in production and stock. Bear in mind this was around 4 or 5 weeks before Mr. Bryant’s helicopter crashed, killing him and his daughter.
KOBE BRYANT WAS LARGER THAN THE NBA IN CHINA AND WAS WORKING ON CREATING HIS OWN BASKET BALL LEAGUE THERE.
Another suspect that I have is the NBA, the NBA like most other corporate whoresons are all about the money and will kill if necessary if it only guarantees profit.
So few actually knew this but in China Kobe Bryant was more popular than the NBA brand, China’s huge fascination with basketball is due to the fact that most tuned in to watch their “Flying Hero” play basket ball.
Kobe Bryant started visiting China since 1998 and has amassed so much fans that he has a godlike status in China.
Once his popularity in China became well established, he visited nearly every year. His iconic purple and gold number 24 was the top-selling jersey in China for years, and is still widely sold at the growing number of NBA stores found in Chinese malls. He was also a leading spokesperson for Nike NKE, -0.83%   in the country.
In 2009, he became a “cultural ambassador” for the Asia Society, at a ceremony attended by Liu Peng, director of China’s sports ministry and a member of the country’s elite Communist Party Central Committee. That same year he started the Kobe Bryant China Fund, a charity that raises money for youth programs in China.
He even once had a basketball-focused reality show on Chinese television.
For all intent and purposes, as of the time of Kobe Bryant’s passing he had a bigger fandom than the NBA in China. But the question remains, how is it that the NBA profits from his death?
Just before Mr. Bryant’s death he was in talks with the Chinese government to setup China’s own NBA system, if this happened, it would be the first time we see a black man that is more powerful and more popular than it’s white owned counter part. His death served to diffuse this action and with time Channel the Chinese viewership back to the NBA. Whether we like it or not his death leaves a void there and the only way to fill it is to return to the NBA and keep watching which is what most of the fans of Kobe in China will do, we are talking another 600 million to 700 million viewers.
In the end the corporate NBA whoresons win again.
Did you also know that Granity Studio was owned by the NBA Legend Kobe Bryant, Granity Studios is an award winning multimedia original content company focused on creating new ways to tell stories around sports. Stories that are crafted to entertain, by bringing education and inspiration together.
Kobe Bryant was also involved in a myriad of other works i.e his production granity studios company which already produced a movie that took a grammy award “Dear Baskeball“, he also owned an venture capital company which was racking in hundreds of millions of dollars “Bryant Stibel” is its name.
He was obviously setting himself up to be in league with any real elite of the world today, should his growth and innovations continued it is possible that he would quickly be beyond control and more importantly, serve as an uncontrolled idea that black people can be truly great. This idea is what I feel they do not want black people to grasp, this icon, this point of inspiration is what they feel no black man should have and I feel this is the main reason they have slaughtered black legends all through history, if they can not be controlled.
Why do I think he was killed?
Kobe Bryant’s was using the Sikorsky S-76D, a luxury aircraft designed with near military grade sophistication and one of the safest non military aircrafts on the market, but according to the reports they said an aircraft of this magnitude and sophistication had no black box in it, so they have to depend on the public’s information on what happened during the flight that caused the craft.
The Pilot that was flying Kobe on this tragic day was also a man know  for his work ethic as his record remains nearly perfect till this accident.
The speculation is that there was fog out there, this is why the crash occurred, We all watched the video and we can clearly see that the fog was not the threat that they are trying to make it out to be, if this fog was a problem, the Pilot would never have accepted fly and Kobe wont jeopardize his daughters life by forcing the pilot to fly in such unfavorable weather.
I will also like to inform you that the manufacturer of this flight is Lockheed Martin, they manufacture weapons grade machines for the military, these flights dont just malfunction and fall out of the sky. Anyone who believes his flight just malfunctioned must have a serious issue mentally.
I truly believe that he was murdered by the elite, who exactly may always be speculation but to stop the appearance of what they have termed a black messiah they will kill and destroy, it is a given that the black race must never have a messiah figure or the idea of one, whether living or dead.
Kobe Bryant was a man that was slowly but surely going to be in that role and that was unacceptable.
Kobe, Rest in Peace.
KOBY BRYANT; Tragic Death or MURDER in Disguise? It is rather unfortunate that we have to witness the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, him at the prime of his life and the daughter while so young, I only pray that God helps the remaining of his family get through this trying time of loss.

Before the corona virus hit Ghana and Nigeria, I foresaw the impending calamities and although I put the article out, too few saw it, even fewer read it and far less thought to act upon it. I honestly believe that if Nigeria and Ghana had closed their boarders long before when they did, their would have not been a need for the quarantine lock down, which I project may take more lives than it will save.
I must commend the president of Ghana, President William Addo Dankwa Nana Akufo-Addo for his great work and show of compassion and fellow feeling for the plebs of Ghana, It is indeed difficult to find a president in this Africa who will do what he has done for his country, so for this I give respect and honor to where it is due. I hope he continues to lead the people of Ghana in this way, with agape love, without nepotism. Ghana may yet be the best country in Africa under such benevolent and empathetic leadership.
Even with how the president of Ghana has handled the situation, it is my fears that the quarantine may yet take more lives than it is made to protect, if it continues for too long. I honestly believe that the presidency and leadership of Ghana and Nigeria are acting in the best interest and safety of their people. But have they taken actions with short sighted planning, which may end up ultimately working towards the detriment of the people that they are doing so much to protect?
The Western countries that have instituted this quarantine lock down policies and are prolonging it, are countries that have a type of social security system where every citizen of the country is paid monthly allowances, or given aid in the event they apply for it. West Africa doesn’t yet have such amenities for her people, yet people in Ghana and Nigeria are being ordered to remain at home under threat of being beaten by soldiers or man handled by Police.
It is a well known fact that 80% of the populace in West Africa live from hand to mouth, this means they must go out to work daily in other to maintain feeding, most people don’t even have enough to buy enough food stuff that will last 5 days, but the same people have been forced into lock down for the second week, how long will the hungry masses endure the hunger without taking to the streets? I maintain that it is only a matter of time before the fear of death by starvation over powers the fear of death by the corona virus.
This lock down has seen the sharp increase in price for almost everything in Ghana and Nigeria, the poor who make up majority of the society are getting frustrated as each day passes, I can see people’s frustration festering to a boiling point.
West Africa in general tend to ignore the socio-psychological state of it’s people, this is why we can implement a lock down, knowing fully well that we do not have the infrastructure in place to provide for the poorer masses. We must understand that as human beings we do not do well in confinement, how much more when majority of those confined start lacking food and water? I truly believe that should this lock down continue we will see a break down in civil law and order as the less privileged of society far outnumber the with more comfortable lives.
I predict that should this lock down continue without proper consideration for how it is affecting and impacting the situation and psychology of the masses:
we will see a sharp increase in prices of every essential commodity, as Ghana especially does not have a price regulatory system that works.
After which there will be scarcity of every goods and services, this will further frustrate the already frustrated masses.
Crime will increase to crisis levels as those who don’t will band together to prey on those who they feel have.
With all that is going on the police and army can never be able to contain the crimes, this is when every citizen will take laws and justice into their own hands leading to a collapse of civil law and order.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Sure the border closure, the lock down and stopping of businesses are meant to help fight covid19, but at what cost are we actually fighting such a weak virus?
How long does the government believe that the people will continue to take being beaten just for looking for what to eat? How long will they endure hunger before the instinct to survive kick in and society is transmogrified into a chaotic mess of murders, thefts and rapes?
I humbly ask that our government and Presidency especially in Ghana where I live, come up with a solution that at least allows trading to continue or our lives, society and economy will be completely destroyed by what is on the horizon should this lock down effort continue without proper forethought.
For a virus that can be killed by hand sanitizes and hot water, such a weak virus is not worth the destruction of our economies and countries. If people are recovering and responding to treatment, why the need for the prolongation of lock down?
There must be another way to control the “spread” while keeping our economies alive and society from descending into chaos. The west has stock piles of oil, money, commodities and other amenities, Ghana and Nigeria can not afford to copy the US verbatim, our country and developments which have come through painful sacrifice is at stake.
Honorable Mr. President, I hope this reaches you well, please this is for your consideration.
WARNING AHEAD for GHANA & NIGERIA; LOCK DOWN measures set to lead to CIVIL DISORDER and CHAOS Before the corona virus hit Ghana and Nigeria, I foresaw the impending calamities and although I put the…

This I leave for you my readers to decide, read till the end and make up your mind, the corona virus is a pandemic that is claiming many lives but if we should analyze the steps our so called governments are taking to “Protect” it’s citizens, many actions raise red flags once juxtaposed to the book of revelation in the bible.
Are we looking at the end of days? Is this the time of the infamous tribulation? Have the four horsemen of the apocalypse begun their ride?
Now more than ever in history there is greater possibility for the entire world to be subjugated under a one world rule and one world system.
For an anti-christ to exist it is indeed necessary for the entire world to be merged into one government, one currency, one mindset and of cause one leadership.
For the longest time the governments of the world has worked very hard to make sure that they prep the world for this scenario, hence movement were created through which every country of the world MUST belong or be isolated and sanctioned.
The UNITED NATIONS is a body that was created as a module to what the new world order is to be, the UNITED NATIONS has pushed every form of wicked agenda known to man and have pretended to be defenders of the peace while their true motives remain depopulation and eugenics through UN AGENDA 21 now AGENDA 2030, one world currency, one world government and one world religion.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Through the UNITED NATIONS the elites and power players of our world have taken steps to achieve this world government, only through which something like a one world leader can exist. They have worked tirelessly and I must admit, the wise men and women, sages, mages, prophets and people of power who fight on the side of the common man have been finally checkmated and we can only behold the dawn of a new age, the New World Order.
You must be wondering, how does this concern the corona virus?
Since the corona virus there have been many deaths but there has also been a visible global police state and a rising emphasis by our banks to stop using cash and only use online payment systems. As this virus we will realize that every country, every citizen will give up more and more of their rights by what the government will term “necessary measures to combat the virus”.
If you want to control people in this day and age, control the cash, this can not be possible in the short term without the factor and threat of the corona virus. Once they are able to get majority of our transactions online, the implementation of a one world currency will merely be a change in sign and all our banks who take orders from the “WORLD BANK” will have no choice than to concur with orders given.
I am in Ghana, these are text messages from banks taking measures to ensure that financial transactions be mostly online:
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
This effort to avoid cash will be something that will be hammered across Africa as we are the only place where implementing a cashless economy is impossible in the short term. With the factor of the corona virus getting people to go cashless will only rely on how much you can put the fear of the pandemic in the masses.
People should remember that physical cash may be the only power the commoner has against the tyranny of a corrupt government, should we all place our finances into a digital structure, whoever controls that structure controls our lives. Our finances can then be turn off automatically if barely have opinions that goes against the motion of those in power, we have seen the corruption across Africa, we MUST NEVER ALLOW A PURELY DIGITAL ECONOMY, tyranny will be the order of the day and with such power under the thumb of the world leader who will be the antichrist, I hope you see how easy it will be for him or her to subjugate the masses of the world.
A STRANGE FACT ABOUT CORONAVIRUS and its NUMERICAL SYMBOLOGY
Oscarine Mbikulu
I was surfing the web when I came across a post on instagram from this very intelligent Congolese sister Oscarine Mbikulu @tataoscapro on Instagram, she created a post in which she calculated the numerical meaning of the word CORONA, I was intrigued but in this section I will take it a bit further, even beyond numeral equivalence.
Before I take it further I below is a numerical equivalence of corona virus:
Now what does the word CORONA mean? Corona simply means the Spanish word for crown.
From what we know in the bible, the beast with seven heads in the bible that represents the antichrist, is a beast that is noted for the amount of crowns that it had on its heads. Is it a coincidence that Corona can be turned easily into 666 in numeric equivalence or english gematria? Is it also a coincidence that we have both 666 and Crown in the same word? What are the odds?
With all that has been said and how they easily go hand in hand, we are to take this as just another conspiracy theory or are we as human beings to sit up and understand that the ground is being pulled from beneath us.
One thing I can not tell for sure is if this is the end of the world, No one can establish such a fact for sure but what I know is that if we sit silent and blindly trust these people in power they will lead us to a world where freedom of all kinds, privacy and even the ability to address yourself as an individual is lost.
God won’t do for men what men can do for ourselves, if we allow ourselves to be locked in this horrific brave new world scenario, we will have to by ourselves fight and lose too many to be free of the tyranny as well.
There is still hope, come together and decide your fates now.

CORONA VIRUS; DEPOPULATION, MONEY MAKING SCHEME or GLOBAL POWER GRAB?
I have been silent about the corona virus situation around the world for a good reason, I like to sit back and just observe situations like this, so I can have an overview of what the real intention and end game actually are.
Before this virus entered Ghana and Nigeria while it was still in China, it will be worth mentioning that I advocated that Ghana and Nigeria closed their borders, I also…

A quick overview of beauty standards across West Africa will bring you to the quick understanding that to look European is to be beautiful. This short article is to examine why this is the case and also to understand why natural traditional Africa beauty standards are looked down upon.
90% of all hair salon for both men and women will show you the reality of this situation, the female hair salon’s point of expertise is usually in stripping our women of their natural beauty by constantly creating innovating techniques that make their hair of our women look more and more like the European women hair or stocking up on the latest skin bleaching cream to make our women again look as European as can be.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Many women are suffering from skin cancer and baldness because of bleaching and the use of these hair relaxers that are used in straightening and softening the hair of our women. Those who don’t get skin cancer from these skin bleaching products end up looking like demonic creatures with multi colored bodies and burnt faces after prolonged use.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
I know a lady who is still in her 20s yet has to use other products to treat the effects the bleaching creams have caused on her skin.
West African men are not exempt from this practice as their’s does not look to obvious but when looked at properly denotes are more disturbing image.
The West African Man relaxing their hair can be seen as unprofessional, since they can’t perm their hairs exactly like the whites or wear wigs that looks like the hair of white men for obvious reasons, they decide to perm or shape their hair just as that of the white man appears, I have put pictures below to show this.
On this row, we have the standard black man, white man haircut, it is my believe that the haircut of the black man on the left is directly mimicking that of the white man of the right.
#gallery-0-19 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-19 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-19 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-19 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Two of Most Common Black men haircut
Two of Most Common white men haircut
On this row, you see the black men with the similar haircut as the one above, the only difference is the parting like at the side, once in West Africa, the haircut with the line on the left especially was the most common kind of haircut, I believe this is directly mimicking that of the white man on the right, who parts his hair from left to right in most cases. This parting type haircut amongst white men happens to be the most common type of haircut amongst white men.
#gallery-0-20 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-20 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-0-20 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-20 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Two of Most Common Black men haircut
Two of Most Common white men haircut
I really do not believe that there are black men who are consciously doing this in order to look like white men, I believe that this is a sub-conscious attempt to resemble the white man whom that black man have sub-consciously accepted as superior to them.
The truth is that Africa is constantly rubbished on the news, in media and even in comedy, there is hardly any international coverage of the greatest that Africa has to offer, only the worst, it is only normal that West African children who are accustomed to seeing their home and culture ridiculed by the world will see their own culture, tradition, natural hair, skin pigment and even innovation as inferior while seeing that of others as superior. This is why most Africans abandon African beauty standards in favor of the European beauty standard; who have modeled themselves as the only standard globally.
I must also mention that in places like Ghana and Nigeria in general, it is very difficult to get shops that specialize in African hair care and to me this is infuriating, the irony that in Africa you can hardly find African hair care, and even when you find it, their services are treated as exotic services is not just infuriating more frustrating to me.
The irony of West Africa and the West African condition continues to blow my mind, but I am seeing something different in recent years, more and more men and women are beginning to embrace their natural hair and African beauty standard, I am praying that it is not simply a trend, I remain hopeful that the African beauty standard and the normalization of our natural hair, hair car and natural African beauty standards will one day become the norm for all black people everywhere we are, that will signify that we are healing as a people because in this moment, our mentality and reality suggests that we are unwell from how we behave to ourselves and each other.

Why is EUROPEAN BEAUTY STANDARDS the NORM for WEST AFRICANS? A quick overview of beauty standards across West Africa will bring you to the quick understanding that to look European is to be beautiful.

Do you feel anxious for no reason? Are you endlessly worrying unnecessarily about your health, finance or life? Are you having panic attacks? Are you constantly on edge and anxious to the extent you can’t even concentrate sometimes? Do you find it difficult sleeping every night? Do you dream so much that you wake up exhausted? Are you constantly judging and micro monitoring yourself? Do you feel lightheaded when you stand up? Are you so tormented by the feeling of anxiety that you think you may be losing your ever loving mind? If you have answered yes to any 3 questions above, chances are you are suffering from one of the many forms of a condition called ANXIETY.
I have chosen to write about anxiety and depression as both are something that has affected me in life, the effects of these two mostly mental conditions prompted me to look around my society and wonder, was I the only one to be affected by this? Am I a special case? my studies have allowed me to understand that depression and anxiety are so prevalent in and around Accra that, I dare propose that 7 in 10 men in Accra suffer from these conditions and it is worsened because most people won’t dare talk about it.
They wont want to talk about it for fear of people’s reaction to their condition or simply for fear that they may be losing their minds so they keep it to themselves. In Accra Ghana there is a stigma on mental conditions or disorder of any kind, so most men in Accra (Both Ghanaian and foreigners in the country) find themselves dependent on alcohol or other forms of self medication just to have a good night sleep or even maintain normal routine.
Why have I chosen Accra as an area for this case study, I live and work in Accra, so naturally this will be a good and easy place in which to carry out research. I dont want to talk about Kumasi or Takoradi because I do not live there, I have spent a lot of time in and around Accra, I have spoke to so many people about this topic, so everything I say here is in most cases word for word the experiences and feelings of too many men within Accra.
For most people the feelings of anxiety especially gets so intense that they even end up going to hospitals, only for the doctor to inform them there is nothing wrong with them.
In many cases these Doctors misdiagnose the patient not because they ran tests on the individual but because the person complains of sensations, without test or ignoring their test which shows clearly that nothing is wrong with the patient, they will place the patient on drugs. Many times they will place these patients on high blood pressure drugs which creates new problems for the patient or worsens the case.
WHAT IS ANXIETY?
According to WEBMD.com the most common form of anxiety is the Generalized anxiety disorder (or GAD) which is characterized by excessive, exaggerated anxiety and worry about everyday life events with no obvious reasons for worry. People with symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder tend to always expect disaster and can’t stop worrying about health, money, family, work, or school. In people with GAD, the worry is often unrealistic or out of proportion for the situation. Daily life becomes a constant state of worry, fear, and dread.
These generalize anxiety then produces symptoms for the individual that is called panic attacks, these panic attacks can be expressed in a verity of ways; The person can find themselves with racing heartbeats for no apparent reason, they can find themselves sweating in a heightened sense of anxiousness for no apparent reason, they may develop a fear of crowded places, They may develop a hyper dream situation were they dream so much night that it leaves them fatigued in the morning, they may also develop insomnia(sleeping disorder), many advanced anxiety sufferers tend to feel fatigued throughout the day, have a feeling that they may pass out at random times or they may develop a belief that they are losing their minds from the enter affair. Basically the feeling of panic attacks brought on my general anxiety disorder is one where the suffer feels a continued sense of anxiousness and this is a most uncomfortable state of mind to live in, it is paramount to a hellish existence.
In most cases anxiety sufferers find themselves falling naturally into depression.
WHAT IS DEPRESSION?
Depression is a common illness worldwide, with more than 264 million people affected(1). Depression is different from usual mood fluctuations and short-lived emotional responses to challenges in everyday life. Especially when long-lasting and with moderate or severe intensity, depression may become a serious health condition. It can cause the affected person to suffer greatly and function poorly at work, at school and in the family. At its worst, depression can lead to suicide.
The most damaging part of this anxiety problem in Accra is that most men are not even aware that they are suffering from it, so many of them tend to use alcohol as a way to remedy the sensations in the short-term.
According to Healthline Media on http://www.healthline.com, Alcohol is a sedative and a depressant that affects the central nervous system. The first few years or months of using alcohol to manage your anxiety, you will find that drinking alcohol can reduce fears and take your mind off of your troubles. But once drinking is continuous like it usually is, you can build a tolerance to the de-stressing effects of alcohol, and this can make anxiety and stress even more difficult to cope with.
I believe that this is the real reason for the high patronage of bars, hence its high availability all over Accra. You just have to look around you and you will be awestruck once you fully grasp how frequent you will come across a bar all over Accra. Even more surprising is that no matter how small, rundown, big or expensive a drinking spot appears to be, from Sunday to Sunday there will always be men and women drinking from Sunday to Sunday.
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
This is not to say that a culture of drinking alcohol is innately bad but after talking to a few people, it has come to my knowledge that most men in Accra today are drinking as a way to cope with the anxiety of living and working in the system, as most men in Accra go to bed and wake up unsure of where the next meal will come from.
Office workers in Accra account for about 30% of the workforce in Accra, the rest are small to medium scale business owners and business men engaged in many different businesses to make honest living. 90% of men in Accra including the office worker go through unbelievable stress that in most cases will cause anxiety and depression, as the system is one that we find constant inflation but the salaries and earnings seem to remain the same or in some cases even reduce.
Most men in Accra even those with wife and children go to bed and wake up with no idea where their next meal will come from, no retirement funds, no social structure that guarantees the children’s education, everything is depended on what the man of the house can bring home. It is sadly expected that this level of stress naturally will be attracted to men in a system like this.
Now we must understand that Ghana in particular is a system that does not really care about the well being of the individual human being, I mean this in the sense that we have no provision for human stress relief, no parks, no programs created with the sole intent of reducing stress or mental trauma in the system, this is the same issue in Ghana’s immediate Brother nation; Nigeria. All we have are the drinking bars and clubbing joints, it is only natural that most men within Accra will turn to alcohol as the major form of stress relief.
Most sickness that men suffer from within Accra can be attributed to an extra-ordinary consumption of alcohol and high stress, these two issues I feel are expressing a prior condition in men that the medical system in Accra have largely ignored. Anxiety can lead to excessive drinking, Anxiety is also a signal that your stress factor is out of control, I feel that if the medical system can start to treat anxiety as a serious issue and look for proper remedies for it, many men and women will be saved from more critical conditions that can come from drinking, high blood pressure brought on through stress of anxiety and also depression which can lead to suicide. I hope this article can open the eyes of all the readers so we can begin talking about this issue, and subsequently pressure our government into doing the needful to help the overwhelming amount of people in society suffering from anxiety.

Talk to someone. Tell friends and family you’re feeling overwhelmed, and let them know how they can help you. Talk to a physician or therapist for professional help.
