A Love Story

Y'all, the Cauldron is in love.

So like, the Cauldron, the omnipotent life force of Prythian with unmatched power is literally obsessed with Elain Archeron, even in the throws of its own unholy wrath.

That time Elain defended Nesta against Hybern:

The Cauldron seemed to realize what she’d done, too, as his head thumped to the mossy ground. That Elain … Elain had defended this thief. Elain, who it had gifted with such powers, found her so lovely it had wanted to give her something … It would not harm Elain, even in its hunt to reclaim what had been taken. (ACOWAR Pg 655)

The crush is so strong that the almighty Cauldron in all its terrible rage takes a moment to pause and be like, omg look at my angel go.

Also, the incessant love noises it emits every time Elain is near... um.

The Cauldron purred in Elain’s presence as the King of Hybern slumped to his knees. (Pg 654), etc, etc throughout the books.

People think Elain is boring, useless, and has no autonomy. Are you kitten me? The bloody Cauldron itself wants to take her out to dinner, listen to her opinions, contemplate it's own behavior, back up her beef with people, and give her special magic nobody else gets to have. Do we really think when it comes that her story is going to be boring?

Elain may have 2 love interests in the upcoming book, but the Cauldron only has one.

And boy oh boy am I here for that ship.

You want SJM to write another book about training to fight because you can’t comprehend a female character being badass and having agency unless she holds a sword.

I want SJM to write a book about Elain training to be a spy because it plays on themes of everyone underestimating her, her powers as a seer, claiming agency in the NC, becoming a hidden weapon, and still maintaining the roots of her character.

We are not the same.

Can we all agree, all sides, that Azriel and Elain are not 'like brother and sister'? Please.

He literally wants to eat her own and wonders what she is going to look and sound like when he enters her.

The 'brother and sister' thing is weird at this point. They do NOT have a 'sibling relationship'. It's creepy that people still insist that that's what it is. It's never been that. Cassian and Feyre are much more of a brother and sister, than Elain and Azriel ever were.
