Generic Register Mod

Babysitting is now added to the list of duties that the register attendant can perform. Might be useful for your nursery, who knows?

Also, performing duties is a little better handled.

Bubble Bath Mod

Certain dramatic (and loser, unstable, unlucky) sims may feel nauseous showering in the smell of hot lemon. Tuning is available in the XML.

Hairdresser Mod

Make hairdresser appointments for later in the week.

Hairdressers can also take styling classes to brush up on their skills.

Getting paid now counts as career pay for non-stylist career sims too meaning it can be paid automatically into (Social Club mod) Bronzo accounts.

Chair tooltip edited slightly.

Choosing the days off is done by a pop up list rather than having to type in the day. This does mean you'll have to set them up again for your chairs!

Social Clubs

New activities: give lecture, watch TV, play video games.

Hunger is auto resolved during formal clubs.

Tried to fix teleporting lone club toddlers to no avail. If that works worse than before, sorry... seems to work better with inactive toddlers than active ones.

Club restrictions enforced more strongly via. club board for necessary clubs.

Fixed issue with bank transfers not completing when done direct through Bronzo object.

Can order Bronzo card through computer when card is missing (not just stolen).

Can end clubs early via. scheduler.

Can leave club early via. scheduler.

Can ask sim to join club activities for that session.

Sign up another sim in your household to a club via. the club board.

A sim dying should not make the club scheduler unusable anymore.

Traditional Chinese translation added.

Court Mod

Lawyers should actually help their jailed clients instead of simply changing clothes and standing around like idiots.

Painting Needs Supplies

(Unsure if this is from this update or a previous one but:) this mod works in conjunction with the Reworked Ultimate Careers mod now. When pushed to paint, sims will use the easel if there is enough paint around.

New tuning added so you can choose if the mod places restrictions for inactive or inactive households (or both).

Hello there Phobe!

I’m a big fan of your mods, I know that you don’t take on requests, so take this as a mod suggestion.

Why don’t you make a “Dine Out” mod that’s like the game pack from 4, sure we have Ani’s Business as Unusual Bistro mod but that mod unfortunately lacks a lot of detail and is very surface level when compared to the game pack.

Now of course mods don’t have the same manpower as official Sims content as well as the mod predating the game pack, so how about you make your own spin on it kinda like how you did with your Clubs mod?

Thank you! It's funny you suggest this because I was thinking about this the other day. For some reason, I feel like I've seen other modder talk about making an updated version of the Business as Usual set but I can't be sure.

I really love Ani's spin on the mod so it would be interesting to see the mod made in 'Dine Out' style, or even like the sims 2 version. Now, of course, we also have the sims 4 animations that can be stolen for it lol.

All that to say, I definitely will strongly consider this suggestion although I need some time to think about if I have the energy to take on another large-ish project right now :)

I wish I could display the clubs in the careers panel but that's a bit beyond my capabilities at the moment. As for owned clubs being editable through the computer: that's definitely possible.

I'll consider adding that as a feature, though it may take me a while to get around to it! I'll need to consider the pros and cons of adding yet another interaction to the computer—I don't want the clutter to become unbearable and I also want to keep game performance in mind a little bit more.

Are you able to create a mod that creates bags of treats. Dog treats and cat treats that are buyable from the store. So there is no more infinite treats that sims always have lol.

That's such a cute idea! It's probably possible but it would likely require creating a whole new social interaction for it. I'm not too well versed in social interactions so I don't know whether they can be overrode or not.

It's not something I think I'll tackle but perhaps another modder will be up for it. If not, maybe far in the future I'll remember this idea and give it a go :)

Betting Mod

Big thanks to @cheejer for the mod idea!

Make your trips to various town competitions more exciting by placing bets. Sharpen up your sims' gambling skill!

Your sim can make 4 different types of bets at the grocery store. Buy:

Horse Racing Tokens

Star Player Tokens (For Sports Stadium Games)

Bot Competition Tokens

Food Lottery Tickets

Tokens must be used within 5 days after purchase otherwise they will expire.

Who wins:

All sims have a base (5% or 10%) chance of winning.

Chances increase or decrease depending on certain traits or buffs (such as lucky, genius, equestrian, bot-fan, loser, unlucky...).

How to check winnings:

Food lottery tickets will be automatically used after shopping at the supermarket.

Star player tokens can be "redeemed" by watching the sports TV channel on game days after the match has started.

Read the newspaper on weekends (Read/Check Current Events).

Otherwise attend the competitions at the relevant rabbithole.

What's won:

Food lottery winners will receive 10 random ingredients.

Otherwise, the prize is a random amount of money between 100 and 500 simoleons.

Other:

Participating in betting will increase gambling skill if you have the required store content installed. It will also contribute to win and loss statistics.

You can discuss your bets with other sims : Friendly -> Discuss Bets.

Most values can be tuned in the XML including win chances and prize amounts.

Mod Updates

Bubble Bath Runs Out

The bubble bath now doubles as shower gel! Your sim will use it when taking a shower. This can be edited in the tuning if you don't wish to use this feature.

Did some internal cleaning up of the code.

Social Clubs

Added 'Practice Speech' from the podium and 'Make Potion' from the Chemistry table to the list of club activities.

The ATM can now be used autonomously so you may see positive trait scoring inactive sims using it. See ITUN for details. No deposits, withdrawals or bank card details will be stolen when interacting autonomously.

The calendar no longer shows clubs that have no members.

Send Greeting Cards

Added tunings to control the chance of being sent greeting and birthday cards from inactive sims. Overall, it will be less frequent with a higher chance in the summer (and on birthdays).

When buying cards from the stand or opening card packs, the card pre-set will be randomised.

Card recipients no longer have the option to change the contents of the card.

Functioning Printer (plus financial module)

Printing coupons will now return 3 coupons instead of one.

Printers can break after use and may need repairing.

Dogs can bark at printers when in use.

Hopefully fixed issue with CV causing certain sims to reset.

Robinson Family - Round 5

May went to visit her son, Liam, and grandson, Eric, and was astounded by the absolute horrid state of their flat. It was so bad that she spent a good while helping them tidy up the place and even contacted the repairman for them.

Mel finished her degree just in time for her 21st birthday and gained the friendly trait.

I decided to hire her at the nursery, and although she may not work there forever, I wanted to get the ball rolling as I'd like to enrol the newest Levitt baby next round.

Nursery - WIP

What was once an unused park has been transformed into the town nursery. The outside still needs some decorating, but for all intents and purposes, this place is fully functional.

The front entrance takes you straight into the joint play and eating area with access to the toilets (complete with baby changing items) and the conservatory, which has some larger play items.

There are toys and activities for both toddlers and children, meaning that both can make use of the space (as I plan to do using my social clubs mod).

Upstairs is the toddler sleeping area, as well as the kitchens that also have space for staff and children to eat (excuse the glitching counter that I forgot to fix).

The weekday nursery will use this space as well as a Saturday school for children.

Robinson Family - Round 5

Mel Robinson, now a young adult, starts her communications degree online. If I ever had a plan for her career when she was a teenager, I'd completely forgotten what it was, so getting this degree was good for buying some time.

At the same time, she got a part-time job at the local hairdressers as a receptionist.

Jay Robinson was also making moves in his career, throwing an office party after work to make new business connections.

Thank you! It makes me so happy to know that you like seeing my gameplay posts! And my videos 😭 I ought to make a few more of those eventually. Boroughsburg was my first venture into rotational playing so I'll always have a soft spot for that world.

Social Clubs Update

A new update to my social clubs mod...

Calendar

Keep track of your sims upcoming club schedules with the new family calendar object.

While on residential lots, this calendar will show the club schedules of the family living on the lot.

While on community lots, this calendar will show all club schedules in the same room as the calendar (if there are schedulers in the same room) or all schedules on the lot (if there are no schedulers in the same room but there are in other rooms on the lot).

You can find this object in the collection file or under study/hobbies and skills. All credit for the object conversion goes to Sandy from ATS3.

Better Scheduling

Now when inactive sims are considering joining a new club (via the club board or after being asked by another sim), if they're already part of a club that meets between those hours, they should decline joining.

Updated Tuning

Some new tuning XML has been added so you can edit the default value of bronzo bank interest rates.

Durand Family - Round 5

Liam Robinson's gem that he sent to get cut in Tillage 1.0 finally makes it into the processing line at the factory. Evan cuts that to the required shape and sends it off to be delivered. Jess Bailey will finally have her engagement stone.

After that, Evan attends a job interview for the scientist position that he was originally in (before he was mysteriously fired). Thankfully, he gets the job.

The court date comes along quickly and it's suddenly final. Patty and Evan are the first sims to get divorced in Tillage :( Patty doesn't even have a maiden name, so I'll have to make one up and send her to get her name changed at some point.

They'll be living together for at least 3 more sim-years, since there are no properties for rent or sale at the estate agents yet (that'll wait until I'm back with the Crofts) so things are bound to be uncomfortable for a while.

Thus begins the emotional damage control to take their minds off this bad situation.

Evan decides to book himself into a hotel for the night too. He may extend that stay until the end of the week, or until their emotions cool a bit, but they won't be able to avoid each other forever.

Durand Family - Round 5

2 out of 3 Durands (Patty and Imani) start their week off by going to church. There is no preacher or musicians yet, so they kind of sit there in silence for two hours before it's over.

After church is finished, Imani goes home and Patty meets Evan at the hospital for their relationship counselling session. It's a last ditch attempt to save their marriage as their relationship is all the way in the red.

Their relationship improves only slightly, but since they both have wishes to break up, immediately after the session, Evan sets their divorce in motion.

Can you believe this is the first time I'm using my court mod in my main game?! It's been a long time coming.

Henning Family - Round 5

As Theo is now a young adult, he enrols himself into university to do a science and medicine degree. His plan is to follow in his father's footsteps to become a doctor.

Getting a license isn't as easy as it used to be, so he also registers for some skill classes to help him get ahead.

Twyford Family - Round 5

The week progressed in the same manner. Jade maintained a steady stream of patients of various ages.

The weekend was well received—Jade had been working hard all week so Oliver Twyford took the whole family out bowling.
