TGAA2 SPOILERS but okay jesus imagine you’re me. in 2015 the english fansub of the first two tgaa cases drop. you are left mourning kazuma asougi. you think he was this angel. total badass. a pillar of cool mentor figure. ryuu’s idol. now imagine it is 2021 and the official localization comes out and you play tgaa2 for the first time. after SIX YEARS of having this image of kazuma in your head. you find out he’s fucking batshit. apeshit, even. balls to the walls nuts. mans is a fucking whirlwind of trauma bad decisions and impulsiveness. now THAT is immersion. i truly felt ryuu’s ongoing feeling of “what the fuck? what the fuck? WHO WAS THE ASOUGI I KNEW THIS WHOLE TIME???” 

i had thought i’d KNOWN this man since MIDDLE SCHOOL!! i remember telling my friends at the lunch table that bro died just because he didnt like chicken and mourning “oh poor innocent sweet thing” and then i was in my SECOND YEAR OF COLLEGE when i find out BROS FUCKING BAT SHITTE!! TOOK A KATANA TO INSPECTOR GREGSON!! in the name of revenge! holy fuck! imagine experiencing the games themes in Real Time!!! now Thats immersion....imagine..

its so funny to me that athena and apollo have like. similar names and roles in the WAA but the circumstances of them joining it are SO different. someones like "who are your two proteges mr wright" and phoenix is like "well this is athena, i was seeking out a new lawyer for the firm and recruited her in europe for her unique hearing, analytical psychology training, and precociously young law degree. and this is apollo, i got him in the divorce"
