Fuck it, talking about the lamia au but it's really just an excuse to give Dream many boyfriends but idk maybe it'll get plot.

While the designs will probably still be fantastical to a degree, everyone will be based on an irl snake species! So, this is so far the list for Dream's slither:

Dream himself is going to be based on the Yellow-Blotched Palm Pitviper, mostly just due to its striking coloration!

Sapnap, I'm going with the Timber or Canebreak Rattlesnake, one of the smaller species of rattlers and it has some very nice patterns that I think fit well!

George I've settled on the Komodo Island Pitviper, it's pretty and blue :)!

Punz is of course based on the fastest snake in the world and one of the most notorious for its venom: the Black Mamba

Sam, self explanatory like Punz, but of course he's a Green Anaconda - fuck all massive and greennnn

Quackity, I'm actually split between two species but regardless he is a Kingsnake, either based on the Grey Banded Kingsnake or Variable Kingsnake - I'm a bit split so any opinions are welcome :) - regardless Kingsnake cause there's the important factoid of: Kingsnakes get the King in their name due to often predating on other snakes, namely venomous species! (He may have eaten his last partner, don't WORRY about it bye Schlatt)

Karl MIGHT also get added in cause I do like karlnapity and lamia slithers have some interesting dynamics (long long explanation short, slithers often function like QPR groups with varying and complex internal dynamics that are nothing like the general binary assigned to dating and relationships by humans- so it's funky)

She is impartial in who she takes to the afterlife. Even her disciples will eventually enter limbo, as she does not have the power to grant true immortality to living beings.

It is commonly believed that the undead are her creation, a way to take people to her domain.

so uh, how do we feel about a Cenozoic au?

Ignore how Techno and Punz look super different from the others I drew them recently and the other months ago whoops

Dream: Smilodon Populator - smilodon is iconic and so is Dream so, and he’s very catlike. Smilodon Populator is the most well known sabertoothed cat as well so you know

Tommy: Smilodon Gracilis - a smaller genus of Smilodon that just seemed very fitting

Quackity: Psilopterus - Terror birds are just extremely fitting for Quackity, especially later in the lore, buttttt psilopterus is the smallest terror bird found that we know of

Awesamdude: Barinasuchus - a terrestrial crocodile that could’ve gotten up to 20 feet long (6 meters), just an extremely formidable and terrifying predator, perfect for the warden

Punz: Dire Wolf - Wolves just fit punz really well in my eyes and him being such a successful hunter is perfect for his mercenary stuff

Technoblade: Daeodon - it’s literally nicknamed “Hell Pig”

Unicorn!Dream being like one of those dappled horses, the ones who are born either black or grey and turn white with age, so he’s got this pretty coat of light grey with white spots that Techno later on realizes is essentially baby spots when he gets a dapple horse of his own. The person he got it from tells him “Oh it’ll turn white with age just letting you know, as youngsters they have that dappling before turning all white.” Queue him going through all the horse info books and rambling to Philza about all the info and the two going “Baby” every time they see Dream.

OMG yeah!!!! i also like the idea of brown/tan because it would look really nice with his green eyes :) just a light dusting of color around his shoulders and hips/thighs, maybe some spotting along his legs and neck. there was more when he was a kid, but it's been fading over time.

techno only discovering it from one of his horses fheipafhp. he rants about it to philza after he's teleported out of the prison. he's going on and on about how bad dream looks and the conditions that he's in and he just ends it with "and he's got baby spots like [insert horse name here]"

phil knows right away that things are going to change in a major way

Thinking about how Dream was probably revived more than Punz was in the experiments and how after so many revivals, your body eventually just has to give up after being forced to be jumpstarted over and over again and how Dreams body is slowly failing him, his code is breaking apart and his organs are starting to fail. He probably wouldn't have made it much longer after when the actual nuke finale was, even if Punz had brought him back it would've been more humane to keep him dead rather than reliving the pain of his body deteriorating every revive
