Wanted to share a little deck tech. I found this deck in its original state through youtube (link to the video below). Had to try it out, and it really surprised me. After making my own adjustments to it I used this deck to get to diamond in standard ranked.

Both boots cards could be swapped out, they were placed into the deck after finding myself in positions where I needed creatures to have haste. other games ended up being a almost useless card to have in hand or on board. I try to keep a few situational cards in all decks I run so that I can adapt to new strats, or to help strengthen a weakness I notice in my own strategic plays while playing online. That being said, Susurian Voidborn could also be swapped as I don't find myself utilizing its ability as much as I probably should. Unstoppable Slasher can be replaced as I put it in just to play around with it. however it has gotten me a few wins. If this wasn't intended to stay a standard deck id swap something out for a couple copies of Sheoldred. I do have a copy of this deck that I altered for historic and I may share that deck list at a later time once im done ironing out kinks with it.

When first writing this post, I didn't think to include these stats on this deck. this is using untapped.gg the deck tracker logs your wins/losses and much more, for a free resource its pretty bad ass so far.

Anyway, the track ONLY tracks ranked games. Not matches over all so that said, I ended up with a 60% win rate as the deck is listed above. In unranked play this deck dominates as well. and with the amount of removal you can end up with in hand for low cost, there have been many games I've won due to the psychological warfare I ignite forcing my opponent to rage quit really early on.

Made it as far as I can

After hitting Diamond in ranked standard, I've hit a snag. Strats are failing, opponents are beating me down faster. now with some tweaking of the cards in my decks and trying to get some three-five turn win cons going might be able to make it a little further. however with the state of the current meta and the fact I don't want to end up back in platinum after that grind to diamond, I think ill just simply reside right there at Diamond 4 for the remainder of the month.

I might also post a deckles for what I used to get as far as I did a little later on this morning.

I'm not a drafting kind of guy at all. However I had saved up some gold and thought id get more return out of it by doing a draft rather than buying some packs. Well, it didn't go very well. 2 wins 3 losses. With those losses going back to back after thinking I had something going winning two matches in a row.

I say all that to say it inspired me to use it as a learning exercise to work on my deck building. so I transferred my limited deck type to standard and started laying out a 60-card deck. So far I've played two games with it. the first I won via rage quit (im assuming my opponent wasn't getting the draws they were wanting) the second match I was laid out.

I also noticed the random white card with no white mana to cast it. leaving that in simply to show im stupid as fuck for that and laugh at myself.

My goal here is over time (whenever I feel like pulling it out and messing with it rather than my other decks) to turn this into a pretty usable and game winning deck. its mostly made up of current EoE cards so there are somethings in it im not familiar with and the synergy is off beat at best as of now. id like to keep as many of the originally drafted cards in the deck as possible with focus on upgrading and finding synergies rather than starting from scratch or rebuilding so much its nothing like it started (outside of winning regularly)

those things may not be possible with this but trial and error will show results of some kind. either ill end up with a nice Dimir deck, or ill fail horribly and attempt to do a better job the next time I decide to waste gold on a draft.

{INSERT GENERIC FIRST POST}

I will start off by saying thank you for checking out my page. However it is that led you find finding your way here.

Im starting this page as a way to share my progress, experiences, deck builds and so on while enjoying the hobby of MTG. A little more than I am able to share on X. I feel this platform is better suited for longer posts, in depth build notes, and so forth. I feel that having the outlet to share and receive feed back will also help me grow as a player seeing how as of current I am solely playing arena. there aren't LGS's or anywhere to play locally to me, at least not closer than an hour or so out of the way from anything else I need to get to. So for now we find ourselves here. I hope to be able to build a cool little community of my peers to play, discuss the game, and become better together.

please note: I will try to keep my posts as PG as possible but all though this is a faceless account, Im a grown man and Im gearing my posts and the way I present them in a way to be delivered to other adults in this hobby that have had life experience.
