Only a very small number of people are trying to help and stand by me. I haven’t received any donations in the past few days. The situation is getting worse, and if things continue like this, we will die of hunger.

A hyperfixation is usually characterized by the exclusion of other subjects because the fixation is so strong. I’m hyperfixated on navies in the window of about 1790-1820 to the exclusion of everything else and it’s usually agonizing to try and think of or engage in something unrelated AND it potentially interferes with other activities and/or relationships. Enjoying something and spending a lot of time on it is not inherently a hyperfixation.

Births and Deaths 28th of July
Today is the birthday of Beatrix Potter, John David Washington, Grand Duchess Anastasia Mikhailovna of Russia, Albert Namatjira, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Marcel Duchamp. But today is also the day that Pope Victor II, Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach, Maximilien Robespierre, Bernard Cribbins and Thomas Cromwell died.

For Robespierre, the Declaration of Rights couldn't not be extended to protecting human rights across all countries. Here is his noble proposal that was never implemented in the end. I'd love it if modern day politicians were this willing to 'alienate' themselves from powerful but reckless countries, in favour of protecting opressed nations.

Americans call practices which began in the 20th century “traditions” because they have no grasp of history, unlike wise Europe with ancient ways of life dating back to the 19th century…
