Patrols

Fawnwind suggests practicing teamwork with Grasspaw. Grasspaw, trying to show off, is too busy checking to see if Fawnwind is watching to check where her own paws are. Grasspaw falls over with a comical thump and cloud of dust. Grasspaw got: bruises

The patrol encounters a gang of rogues. The rogues are terrifyingly coordinated and use the patrol's shock and confusion against them. The patrol cats are picked off one by one, and only a couple manage to escape the slaughter.

Badgerash had chosen to use their skills and experience to help solve the Clan's disagreements. A meeting is called, and they become the Clan's newest mediator.

Twilightburst sits in the crowd, chest puffed out in pride as he watches Peatpaw be named Peatrunner, and honored for her spirit. He considers himself lucky to have been able to train such an amazing young cat, and looks forward to seeing the warrior she becomes.

Stagpaw sits excitedly beside Cloudyglow as the meeting ends and hopes he'll be doing something exciting like battle training first. His claws are itching to tear at something.

Stretchpaw had been waiting for this moment: he'll finally be a mediator apprentice and be guided by Figtwist on how to solve the Clan's issues - his one goal in life.

Watching with pride as Verbenapaw is named and given to Bleakbadger to apprentice under, Archdew knows that he was a good choice.

Interested in all the myths and stories told by the elders and queens, Silkypaw decides to become a medicine cat apprentice, hoping to someday speak to those gone before. Azaleahaze loves his determination and eagerness to learn and agrees to take him on as her apprentice.

Deerpaw can't believe his apprenticeship is finally here! Nearly tripping over his own paws, he scurries up to Veil, excitedly touching noses with her.

Camp Clearing

Bansheeflood spends the evening regaling the Clan with stories of The Cats Made of Shadow, The Great Tail-Chaser, and The Mountain's Shadow. Bleakbadger misstepped and slipped from a rock, but landed on his feet nimbly, his Clanmates commenting on the show of dexterity. Stagpaw finds petals while out on a walk and decides to keep them. Silkypaw was given monarch butterfly wings as a congratulations, Azaleahaze watches from the side with a jealous glint in her eyes.

Border

Stretchpaw accidentally trespasses onto SplinterClan's territory. Before the Gathering, Spikestar counsels her Clan to begin cutting ties and ending friendships with SplinterClan warriors. The tension hanging over this Gathering makes it clear SplinterClan notices. (SplinterClan relations worsened) Figtwist travels to FlightClan to resolve some recent personal disputes.

It is almost dawn when the deputy rouses Stagpaw for his assessment. He is meant to find Cloudyglow posing as an enemy warrior somewhere on the territory and handle the situation. Cloudyglow could be anywhere! Stagpaw is jumping at shadows. Everything around him seems like a predator waiting to pounce. Where could Cloudyglow be hiding? He wishes that Cloudyglow would hurry up and come out. Wait, is that . . .? Stagpaw charges toward the bulky shape of another cat in the dark. However, this is not Cloudyglow. The smell of a foreign cat washes over Stagpaw. Stagpaw barely has time to yowl for help before the stranger pounces. Stagpaw died

Veil can hardly believe how quickly time has passed since Saffronpaw was a kit. It still feels like just yesterday that she was tumbling around the nursery, chasing after a moss ball or some other cat's tail. Misty-eyed with pride and joy, Veil throws her head back and tries to cheer the loudest as Saffronpaw is named Saffronroot and honored for her exemplar.

The patrol reaches a river that must be crossed to ensure the borders are thoroughly checked. Just as the patrol begins to cross, Wildmask yowls out a warning! The cats scramble out of the water just in time to see a large rush of water crash past them. Shaken by the close call, Wildmask instructs the patrol to head home early. The border will just have to stay unsecured and open to trespassers for now.

Elmpaw tries to keep her head high as she steps forward, and is given the name Elmbush in honor of her skill. It doesn't seem fair. Snowbuzz and Ploverbone should be here with her! They promised they would! Elmbush looks to the stars, her anger and frustration vanishing. It feels as though the stars are brighter, and she knows that, even if they cannot be there in body, her parents are there in spirit.

Spikestar has been following the progress of Magpiepaw for moons and feels that it is finally time for him to get his warrior name. He is granted the name Magpierun in honor of his sociability.

Patrol

The patrol spies an eagle carrying a fish over an icy lake. The patrol tries to intimidate the bird away from its catch, but Saffronpaw has another idea in the back of her mind, and when the bird turns its back to screech at another member of the patrol, Saffronpaw leaps for its throat. PikaClan will feast tonight, on both the fish the eagle caught for them, and the bird itself.

The patrol hears screams by a nearby lake. The patrol races towards the sound. They are puzzled when they only see a lone Twoleg, but grim realization soon dawns on them after they hear more screams coming from a bag the Twoleg is holding. Jumping into action, the PikaClan cats startle the Twoleg into letting go of the bag. While the rest of the patrol claws the ankles of the now furious Twoleg, Spikestar and Veil quickly and quietly get the old shivering cat out of sight, promising her safety and welcome in PikaClan for as long as she'd like. Glassheart joined the Clan with a broken back. She is intact

Saffronpaw denies it and says they should get Thymepaw back to camp to get his injury looked at.

Wildmask attempts to offend SplinterClan at the Gathering, but his words are so soft that no one even recognizes the insult. (SplinterClan relations unchanged) Canaryspeckle travels to SplinterClan to resolve some recent border disputes. Figpaw travels to FlightClan to resolve some recent personal disputes. However, it seems Figpaw only made FlightClan more upset.

Medicine Den

PikaClan does not have enough healthy medicine cats! Cats will be sick/hurt for longer and have a higher chance of dying.

Badgerash hopes the litter will be small - she feels overwhelmed at the idea of a big litter. She couldn't settle into the nursery fast enough. Dayholly is hoping for a big litter!

Fawnwind has gotten whitecough and overexerted himself, and is feeling extremely sore. Runnelsting had a bad fall while taking a walk through the territory, and comes back to camp quite sore. Veil got her paw stuck in a Twoleg trap, but luckily escaped with only a sprain.
