love is the word
Oh, how loved we are. How else can we savour the sunshine, swallow gulps of fresh air, have a roaring passion in our lungs, and have the freedom to just lie in the emerald hills? We’ve got freedom and power coursing through our veins like rivers carving through stone. Rocks, sandstone, bone—with the unwavering hope anchored in us that we can crawl through the slim chances and crevices of opportunity.
We are not for sitting idly by. It’s in our design; we are ignited with the same love that has molded us. We can sculpt and shape minds and move hearts. I mean we’ve got the same story and monsters so why is it so hard? We don’t just hear of demons but we’ve been submerged by them in our thoughts. We don’t just sense the hurt because we’ve felt it too. Vulnerability is a part of us too; it’s in our design.
But let’s lean against each other and stay steadfast. Because even in our most deprived and drought-like state if we are careful enough we can sink and immerse ourselves in the stolen broken and beautiful love.
Let’s hold onto this peace of mind. Let’s grow ourselves in His love and atmosphere that is pouring with genuine joy. Suddenly, we’re buzzing with excitement and our laughter trickles out like rain showers and we’re back and overflowing. We’re swimming in riches; beyond what one could ever need to keep, but perfect for aplenty. Because since the very start, we were meant to give them all that we have—the love in our hearts.

Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place.
Kurt Vonnegut
We are not made to be hateful beings; let’s try to uplift ours spirits and be full of cheer. Let’s do it starting with ourselves and from there we can make a world a better place.

collect your good days with your pen and keep them safe in a journal. a time will come when the sun won’t rise in your life, and you’ll need evidence that there were times when you felt so in love with yourself and the quality of your thoughts were beautiful. let that inspire you to endure sunless days when you feel self-destructive and alone. let that inspire you to keep moving forward when you feel the urge to give up and quit. let that give you hope that there are good days ahead just waiting for you to be documented.

Yes, I agree that a part of exercising our faith is also taking action. Personally, I’m hesitant when it comes to stepping up with my faith so all I have done really has been prayer. It hasn’t done any harm, but your post made me realize that I need to actively be pursuing my faith and although God is who does the moving and saving as a Christian I should help reach out so that God can harvest :) God bless!
Sometimes it takes more than Prayer
Sometimes it takes more than Prayer
It really hurts me when I see Christians go on facebook and make statuses about all they have overcome and how they rely solely on God for everything and how he delivered them from all their problems.

I am in no way at all saying God cannot do this, but what hurts me is the fact that this becomes the reality or a shallow viewpoint for those who are still getting to…

something really important I need to share
okay this is kinda more blog like then I meant for this account but today I genuinely had an amazing day and I need to tell y’all why.
I don’t really know why, but for the longest time I didn’t feel super happy with myself and I found myself very distracted all time and working hard to find genuine happiness. Unfortunately, I thought this meant finding it with excelling in different aspects of my life like appearance and physical health, work, and friends. I always had this mindset that I was chasing a fulfilling feeling in return and because of that I’ve always felt lonely and upset with myself.
But today, I really set aside time to pray. I know most people don’t believe in God or really understand Him but I beg you to try getting to know Him. You might even feel silly praying for the first time, but if you ever you are troubled and need help please try praying. Please be sincere about it. Also, some background on me I’ve been brought up in a church filled environment but it took many years for me to finally understand Him and His love. Your faith and wisdom of who the Lord is (not facts of where he’s from I mean but as in his character) will come with time if you just give Him the chance.
Anyways, lately, I have been preoccupied with other distractions and I feel awful so finally I set aside time to pray and meditate on his Word. There’s one thing God really brought up to me which I think is worth mentioning. These burdens that are given to us by the world are NOT meant for us and that as His children our identity lies in God. We were meant to respect and love ourselves, love others, and truly love God. We shouldn’t forget our worth and what we are made to do.
I did just that today. I went outside of my comfort zone and I let myself connect with friends and people I found myself falling out of touch with. Since I’ve been overworking myself and pushing myself for falling short of perfectionism I have developed a bit of an anxiety towards social settings. I always felt like I was competing with others on who is more interesting or I found my inner thoughts always finding negativity with those who are around me, but these negative voices really dissolved. For once, I’ve broken through this barrier of negativity and genuinely felt confident and happy with those who are around me. I was able to love everything and truly live in the moment.
God loves all of this and he created us to have joyful spirits. If you ever feel alone never isolate yourself and go through what psychologists call “learned helplessness” because we were born to be cheerful, empowering, confident leaders, talented musicians, and so much more.
It’s okay if you don’t believe in God but these tips can still apply to you:
- Love love love yourself >> you’re so very valuable and capable of so many greater things so please please do not give up on yourself
- don’t follow so harshly to the world’s pressures because at the end of the day they won’t make you truly happy
- surround yourself with positivity and love; go out into the world and don’t search for happiness but make your own happiness by having healthy relationships and lots of fun ofc you deserve it!
- it’s okay feel unhappy at times, but always reach out to others if you ever need to
feel free to shoot me a pm or anything if you got any questions or thoughts on this post! love you all

There are moments where I sit comfortably in silence when the whizzing and flashing world around me is anything but
yet here I am
Golden and honey rays seeped through the blinds, rap music blared from the truck that the bickering construction workers and the clanging works came from, the neighbours are chitchatting and here I am—basking in the warmth of whizzing cars and people as I sit. Alone. Just observing. Cool breezes snook in from the window that I never meant to open but didn’t have strong enough feelings to shut.
Blissful. The sun once again feels like nectar touching my skin and I’m bathed in my last marigold piece that was painted two weeks ago. In reality, two weeks really isn’t that long ago; however, the last two weeks of suffering in confinement and medicine was dreadfully long. Now that tossing and dizzily diving into never-ending lists, arguing, and to dos never were really worth doing is pushed aside; I can breathe.
I peered at the green trailing from the yard into the streets and suddenly I’m back to 2 years ago. My father was a short man, but nothing short of wonder with his sprinklers. Managed to make petunias, blossoms, and fruit spring miraculously in our stubborn dirt. He often raised his voice at the conference tables, but here at home he was a man of few words. He was straightforward passing me the grubby shovel and gloves. Between exchanges of our short words, absolute silence hung. The quiet breathing and silent loving of understanding and nature surrounding us was enough.
