#technically sinnoh / hisui that went through kitakami on the way (for my own version of their backstory at least)#ancestor from the pearl clan (that isn't ingo himself) -> moved to kitakami after GT colonised hisui ->#akito (subdad) born in kitakami to mixed-race couple (with his dad being poké-german or sth idk) ->#travels to unova as an adult & meets laylea (submom) whose entire family dating back before twin heroes is unovan -> ??? -> unovan submas#so the heritage doesn't make a difference 90% of the time unless they're talking to tourists from ransei#until ingo goes to hisui and actually has an easier time than expected fitting in#because he learnt the language in his youth

arid tracks.
been overseas travelling this past week so i haven't had much opportunity to settle down and draw... up until a 3 hour train ride. here's a quick painting based on the scenery i saw over the last couple days.
(ngl i genuinely have an appreciation for railways now, be it out of fandom osmosis or irl exposure. i just think it's neat how railways are a key connector over land, as the main mode for transporting supplies to places that lack them, even in harsh conditions like deserts.)
