being a gray fox is so weird. gray foxes aren't true foxes, so i don't really feel like any of the posts aimed at foxes are aimed at me, but i'm also so foxlike that it's hard to relate to the coyotes and the dogs. us weird not-quite-fox therians have got to start a little pack of our own or something.

When I think about it, I always was pretty much nonhuman, like even in childhood. My mom tells me stories about how I insisted she treats me like a bird or a kitty or else I'd refuse to cooperate. I remember how I climbed trees and considered myself a "wolf that climbs trees". My mom called me a wolf throughout my whole childhood and even now she sometimes refers to me as a wolf
