Flustered Charles but he doesn't blush furiously or stumble over himself he just short-circuits completely and ends up saying really awkward things really bluntly and then deadpans immediately after. Arthur takes it as oh shit he's, like, really uncomfortable so he backtracks as smoothly as he can but he kinda sucks at that so they end up lapsing into this really tense conversational limbo until they both say screw it and resume the clumsy sweet talk
