i know it doesn’t quite fit with the timeline, but i don’t care. young barok being super into dracula like it’s that century’s twilight. drinking wine out of his parents’ cellar like it’s freshly collected blood. klint finds him sitting on the windowsill and staring at the moon one night and barok’s like ‘in all levels except physical i am a bat’.

ive made jokes about it before but god harebrayne is such a bad scientist. fucking physicist who doesn't understand or appreciate the complexity of non physics scientists. yeah just turn someone into atoms and then put the same atoms back together. what kind of bullshit is that. are the atoms supposed to remember where they were? you storing any info on what molecules there were? the stereochemistry? the structures of the proteins? keeping track of every base making up the dna? cell structures? fuck off. who gave this man a phd. who gave him a degree at all. did he get a fake internet degree 100 years before the internet? Ye Olde Scam Online College? why didn't he test on a block of wood or a hamster before trying to teleport a Full Human Being? like mate i get pressure from the guy funding you making it hard to do thorough testing anyway but if the machine hadn't been designed to drop that guy to his death then he would have been electrocuted to death. everything could have gone completely as harebrayne expected and he still would have killed a guy. like if you're going to test your risky and potentially dangerous scientific hypothesis on a human at least have the decency to test it on yourself. this man should not be allowed within 100 miles of a lab and i refuse to believe he got his credentials without significant bribery

Just finished the second to last case of TGAA (Case of the Clouded Kokoro) and I… didn’t like it very much honestly? A lot of shit rubbed me the wrong way. The mystery was fine, I liked Mr. Natsume and meeting Iris, but idk why there was such a strong theme of spousal abuse throughout that just was not given the proper gravity at all?? Mrs Garrideb threw flaming books and a knife at her husband and the one juror mentions that he literally fears for his life when his wife gets mad, and these aren’t portrayed as good things but people also aren’t nearly as concerned as they should be. Mr and Mrs Garrideb’s fight (read: her violently assaulting him) resulting in the knife hitting the victim outside was even talked about like it was something they both were going to be held accountable for. It’s weirdly dismissive/normalizing and also misogynistic in the way that this stuff was written off as “oh you know how women are when they get angry!” The rest of the case was fine but this was a weirdly big theme and I do not like the way it was addressed.

So.....AI really is crazy. I've been thinking about creating a Great Ace Attorney fangame for a long time, but got stuck on the fact that I kind of suck at art and wouldn't know how to make good looking movement or character portraits??? Guess Artificial Intelligence came to my rescue and I'm going to try to create my fangame idea after all?? ANYWAYS here's a first experiment of Klint!!
