OH BOY, you've just unlocked a very very big box of fics and tears right here. I'll go through some of my bookmarks all the way back to 2014 (somehow I hadn't read any fics before then, I know I know). Two things you must know. First, I'm a sucker for pain and suffering, I love hurt/comfort fics with happy endings. Second, my favorite kinds of fic are those who make me throw away my phone at some killer one-liners or those who I just have to stop for a moment to collect myself. maybe it's because I'm not as active in the TLOU fandom, but has anyone thought of Ellie being fundamentally different from everyone else under the surface? While he is immune, she is still infected with Cordyceps (even if the enzymes in her blood block the Cordyceps from taking host in her brain).

If I remember right, the infected don't see Ellie as another infected and don't treat her as one, like how Tess was treated in the show and accepted into the group as a non-threat. Though it'd be so cool in fanfiction and fanart to see Ellie treated as one of them, or the ways she's different from healthy humans and the fully infected. I've been searching for stuff like this but I've found like one fic!! Guys there's potential here!!

This is the apocalypse. Give me some Not Quite Human Ellie quirks that disturb others but they Don't Know Why!
