why are so many people in the alterhuman community so... egotistical (in a way that affects other people and isn't just kept to themselves)?

why do you think it's okay to say "um actually, your spirituality is fake, and you're just alterhuman cause of your mental disorders☝️?" why do you think it's okay for you to tell someone "yeah i support physical alterhumans, but i don't believe anything you're saying is real?"

why do you think that your opinion on someone else's origin of identity is important? everyone NEEDS to know what you think? why do you need to make everything about you? why do you think it's okay to speculate on someone's origin of identity? why do you think it's okay to fakeclaim or reality check without even wondering how that makes me feel? why do you think it's okay to impose an origin onto someone anyway (because not everyone has one)?

This is a school art project that was supposed to be finished months ago :’D

Peril is my absolute favorite character and I really love how she came out and I’m especially proud of the fact that I’ve like never used watercolor so this was one of my first real attempts with it (plus some fine liners but still) the background definitely needs some work but I’m still very impressed with myself because i almost never do backgrounds

why does no one talk about how anti-endos almost always gaslight endos? go on to harass us and make us distrust our memories, saying our thoughts and our view of reality is not correct, telling us things about our experience they couldn't possible know (when they don't even know us IRL!). and even if one anti-endo says this one time, they're always COLLECTIVELY fucking saying it. it happens to me every single day. and can literally make me spiral into mental breakdowns because I start questioning everything around me as real or not and i self harm by reading anti-endo posts atp. but no, i don't even have to seek out anti-endos to do this, they just come to me most of the time.

discussing deviae and talking about your deviaesis is not just about nonhumans, it's about helping all species and coming to the collective agreement that everyone deserves bodily autonomy and should always give clear and concise consent to how their body is used. the parents of infants should not be mutilating their children, the society around us should not uphold zoanormalcy and cishetnormative ideologies that push people to be one or the other, and there should be public spaces for varsexed people, somavins, and creatures from all walks of life.

I knew pshifting wasn't the word for me, but I hadn't heard of somatic shifting, it really fits. this was a good read.

hi if you're physically shifting, it means you're a pshifter. if you don't want to be a pshifter, too bad. pshifting is a practice and a form of relief for us, not something you do because of your nonhumanity. it's exclusively related to pshifters and you people have tried to take that away from us already.

if you are experiencing physical shifts, you jut might not be! Here are some other terms:

psychosomatic shifting

beserker shifting

phantom shifting

with high tensionz between the shifter and alterhuman community, you'd do your best to remember the history.

alterhumans did not want shifters in their community.

today and now is not the time to include us, take our terminology, and use it a crutch to solve your own sensory troubles with shifting. we are not toys for you to play with and then drop when we don't want to. listen, we will never owe you anything. the acceptance of shifters as real experiences happened within the palms of our own hands, and forcefully too, as we became pioneers in the physical nonhuman movement.

this term, our language, our identity, who we are - YOU can't even speak our terminology correctly. don't use or practice pshifting if you're not a shifter, it is culturally and ethnically tied to shifters - who have to physically get in touch with their background and their cultural mythology (and many of us are in fact of color or have mixed lineage) in order to even figure out who we are.

this goes past just being physically nonhuman. as a physical nonhuman, you cannot claim to be a shifter unless you are shifter - same applies to non-physical nonhumans. shifters are not physically nonhuman as some of us are humans regardless of if we shift or not, and that's who we are, you cannot put us there and you cannot allow us in alterhuman spaces - so we made our own spaces.

just because you are shapeshifting doesn't mean it aligns with pshifters. doesn't mean you use our terminology unless you are such.

it's more than a pet peeve, it's simply the only community we have because we've been pushed out of every other one, even by other physical nonhumans. this is the only one we have. don't take that away from us.

In the last year, i have gotten about five new violent allergies from foods i used to be able to eat. Next time i eat a fruit, my throat could close. I may not be able to inject myself. My boyfriend and i played with my trainer pen for like 30 minutes. He knows how to inject it. I know how. This is important.
