MORE HORSE ACTIVITIES: A MINI MOD FOR THE SIMS 4

Hey! This one took a bit longer 😅 (it was actually finished a while ago, but I may have forgotten its existence 🙈). This time I made some rabbithole activities with a horsey theme! Take your sims to the beach or go for a trail ride (with two kids-exclusive activities!).

Current version works with the March 20th Patch: PC: 1.113.297.1020 / Mac: 1.113.297.1220

How does the mod work?

There's a new option under the Phone - Travel category: More Horse Activities. You can send your sim to any of the activities and they will get a random moodlet or notification as a result!

Requirements

This mod requires the XML Injector by Scumbumbo and the Custom Mood Pack by Lumpinou. The mod will NOT work if these mods are not in your mods folder (a lot of mods require at least the injector nowadays, so it's better if you already have it!).

Apart from that, the mod is Base Game Compatible.

Feel free to share any horse activities ideas that you might have and I'll try to include them in future updates (with credit!). Also, if you make any translations, you can contact me and I'll add them to the mod (with credit). English is included, but I'm working on the Spanish translation!

Debunking Accusations

Hi everyone - I wanted to take a moment to address a situation that has come up regarding my recent release. A creator is claiming that I have stolen their mesh and that it is the same as my stone wash bay divider. There are a few points I want to go through so bear with me.

First off - here was my inspiration for the stone wash bays and my first wip:

My WIP is dated April 16th. According to the timeline posted by the creator's mother (see below) this was DAYS before someone joined to purchase the mesh.

The next section is comparing the meshes. I was given the WHES mesh by an anonymous source just today in order to defend myself as their object is behind a paywall.

My object is on the left and the other is on the right. As you can see, there are significant differences in the overall form and the smaller details.

Here are the meshes side by side. The differences are apparent. The creator's mother has claimed that I edited the second mesh to create the first one, but this would, quite frankly, have not been worth the effort over creating it from scratch as I did.

Finally, here are the object definitions. I don't know who SimHaus Studios is but as you can see, these are two unique files.

She is saying that I haven't reached out to her. I have. I reached out to her and her mother as I saw their posts. Both sent responses amounting to "we don't want to talk" and then blocked me. I to this day don't have either of them blocked.

These individuals continue to lump this accusation in with completely separate issues they have with a Sims 4 discord server they are banned from also due to harassing behavior.

I can't control the dozens of alts they make to work around being banned to access my content, but I do have the right to remove harassing comments from my pages. Some examples of these comments: (TW- swearing)

It's exhausting to deal with the flood of alt accounts and trolls sent to harass me. I don't know why they all like drama so much. The only thing that has helped me deal with it was the equal outpouring of support for me and my work. It touches me more than I can possibly express.

The Process of Creating a Mesh - a little behind the scenes

A little window into the creative process ~ starting with some inspiration!

Let's focus in on one in particular:

First we start with creating a mesh - I use blender as it's what is compatible with the Sims 4.

Please note that this wip is timestamped on the 16th of April.

Next comes the basic mesh ~ uv unwrapped and baked to give a smooth texture base.

The first pass at final texturing! As you can see the uv's need to be re-done a bit so the textures line up better, but we're close to the final product!

IMPORTANT

• I used body and head replacement by WalnutHill. If you already have any kind of replacement, you should either delete it or just don't download the ones in the archives.

• If the eyelashes in the 'feathers' section, any kind of leg wrapping gonna hide them.

• Marwari and Arabian use body/head meshes which are actually the accessories, so if you use accessory from that category, it will replace the body and head.

• If you keep Arabian's head from the mod, use bridles without noseband, otherwise they gonna look odd.

Debunking Myths

Hey everyone.

This'll probably be the last post from me!

I won't be creating anymore, as I'm sure you've probably noticed. I'm not really bothered if things get sent around and reuploaded, because that's the nature of the Sims community.

I spotted a reddit post claiming I'd been caught stealing from the Sims 3 community, so I thought I'd do some quick debunking.

Here's a photo taken from Elin's website, which you can see had my Tumblr page linked all this time because I was officially one of the people converting IHTL stuff!

My Valentines collection was actually all meshed from scratch APART from the headband, which I used an EA mesh for out of pure laziness. Just because two meshes look very similar doesn't mean they're stolen! People use the same inspiration photos.

They aren't even the same shape, not to mention just how awful my topology is compared to the incredible ones Elin made!

The Valentines jump was actually created by Dalman Jump Co IRL! I intentionally made my version a little bit different to stay respectful.

Please always do your research and don't just assume things! If you're that convinced, speak to the creator or check the mesh yourself. This kind of behaviour in the community is exactly why so many of us have chosen to leave.

Tack Room Clutter (Part 2!)

This set of clutter includes 12 new items for your tack rooms and around the barn!

First up is the saddle cover: this item comes in 21 swatches, with four real brands in English and simlishified.

There's also the folding metal saddle stand: a staple at my barn! This comes in two metal tones and is slotted to work with my decorative saddles as well as the saddle cover. There's also a slot on the bottom for whatever other decoration you'd like!

I'm also sharing the new and improved whip racks! There are two variations, and come in 6 wood tone swatches.

Also included are three items that work together: the wall hook, hanging lead ropes and hanging halters. There are two variations of each, a nylon and a leather lead rope, and a halters by myself and SchrodCat.

Finally there are four decorative crops and whips, separated from the whip racks!

With these poses, you won't need to go through the hassle of trying to edit in stirrups! Thanks to Schrodcat's Racing Saddle + Short Stirrups I was able to create these poses with the sim's feet in the stirrups! (Of course the sim I use in the preview picture is heavily edited with sliders but I did test on a normal sim height and they work haha) You don't have to use the saddle with stirrups if you'd prefer to edit them in!
