About the Zine

This zine's dedicated to PeppiNoise, the ship of Peppino and The Noise! It's commonly described as an enemies to lovers type of ship.

Currently, scope of the zine is a work in progress and undetermined. Zine content will, however, aim to be generally safe for work. While suggestive content is allowed, it will be vague at best.

Mod SKL She/He/They - Tumblr, Website A friend of mine has been idly thinking about organizing a zine for PeppiNoise. I've been an artist in a zine before, but never organized one! After another mutual expressed interest in a zine for the ship, I decided to try and take matters into my own hands.

What's a fanzine / zine?

A fanzine, nicknamed "zine" is a fan-made "magazine" focused on a particular subject. Sometimes this includes merchandise that runs along the zine, but this usually only runs as long as the zine's production.

Can I be a part of it?

When applications are open, it's quite possible! Keep an eye on the blog for now.

Do you have permission from Tour de Pizza?

You don't necessarily need permission to run a fanzine. For merchandise, however, when that is confirmed, I will seek permission.

Isn't Tour de Pizza bigoted / racist / etc.?

I think it's important to be critical of the game. I also know many team members personally and can confirm that the developers are not bigoted. The team is made up almost entirely of queer, neurodivergent people, including those of color. If any of the statements from 2019 were still true, they would have left the team by now. Statements and comments made over half a decade ago by a young adult do not reflect the current thoughts of the team and I would personally appreciate if we left these old comments to back then. It's okay to be bothered by the comments and a lack of formal apology, but I really don't want this zine dragged into any discourse. It's important to criticize enemies like Tribe Cheese. I don't condone that. I also don't think McPig went out of his way to be malicious or racist intentionally. I know enough to confidently say it is out of ignorance, not malice. You don't have to personally like him, his actions and comments, or any of the other developers. I just ask this discourse isn't brought here. Thank you for your understanding.

(hi tumblr I've been dead agaaainnn) so buncha things:

1. my MT! AU is now it's own project: Mindtrapped! (very creative I know)

2. Most characters have received redesigns and here's the list of their new names!

MT-Peppino -> Mark Aaituti (yeah he's samoan now)

MT Theo/Noise -> Angelo Adlawan

MT-Hazel/Noisette -> Charlotte Uzuki

MT-Vigi -> Dylan Amspoker

MT-Phil/Pepperman -> Phil Mcree (yeah no change in the name lol)

ANYHOW what use are these names if not without faces??? so here they are, new and improved (1st: Mark, 2nd: Angelo, 3rd: Charlotte, 4th: Phil, 5th: Dylan)

EX!AU Power Ups!

Dungeoneer:

Despite the slower movement, it makes up for it in strength. The mace can be swung forwards at short/medium range to attack, and can be used to grapple specific hook points.

Sushi Samurai:

More of a situational power-up, the samurai armor allows you to charge a forwards, slicing attack with your sword, which can cut through tough blocks and whole lines of enemies. You can also double jump in this!

Bottle Rocket:

Like the original Rocket, you fly around on this giant bottle, but you have to aim where you’re going to launch first! The Bottle Rocket lasts until it hits a wall, or until it runs out of fizz after a few seconds.

Burning Ghost:

Upon contact with certain things hotter than fire, your very ghost can catch fire! You are automatically moving, so you can only control your direction. The power-up deactivates when you hit a wall.

Weird Mushrooms:

Sometimes mushrooms will block your path. Running through them will cause one of two effects.

Blue Mushrooms shrink you! This means you can get into much smaller spaces, you can jump higher, and enemies will not see you!

Red Mushrooms make you grow! This nullifies the Blue Mushroom effect, but upon touching one at your normal size will make you twice as big, allowing you to go through walls and be invincible to enemies. You are slower, though.

Flash Frozen:

When coming into contact with a certain ice machine, you will be frozen! But this can be used to your advantage, as you slide around automatically, bounce off walls and ram through enemies. You can also slide over fire/lava for a short period of time until the ice melts.

Robot Armor:

Slower movement; you need to charge up your run which lasts in short bursts. However, this is the toughest armor of them all, as it grants you two extra hits before it breaks. It also makes you magnetic, so hanging magnets can pick you up.
