guys i NEED you to understand that there is a different connotation to applying gendered pronouns to a character who canonically uses exclusively they/them as a headcanon than there is with canonically cisgender characters. you cannot just take a character who uses exclusively they/them pronouns and apply gendered pronouns to them because you feel like it. we do not get characters that use exclusively they/them in mainstream fiction. we just don't. you don't get to take that from us. this is not the same as a cis character whose gender you get to play with because there are no rules or whatever. You are deliberately misgendering a character whose gender and pronouns are constantly scapegoated and debated in real life. regardless of your intention you are contributing to the idea that they/them pronouns are optional and do not need to be respected. please think about the optics of what you are doing for the love of god

Fun thing about having anxiety caused by adhd is that whenever i see a post about disability pride/solidarity/positivity/whatever i’ll go “oh that’s nice” and like kinda feel a sinking in my chest because i just feel like that when something doesn’t include me (it’s an impulse i try to get rid of but no such luck so far) and even when the post is like “this includes adhd and autism!!!!” my brain will still be like “nah i don’t think you’re included in that. like your adhd isn’t significant enough” and despite that being patently ridiculous and objectively untrue (it very much affects my life and affected my life even worse when i was younger and undiagnosed) i’ll still go like “yeah you’re probably right and everyone who actually needs this post would see right through me if i tried to claim that it includes me too”

I’m just saying if Daniel Radcliffe, the literal protagonist of the Harry Potter franchise since the age of ten years old, was able to disavow JK Rowling and move on from the HP universe then actually what the fuck is anyone else’s excuse.
