CODY was pretending to be an innocent party, and those players still chose to hurt them anyway. LEAF and RED must have realized that those players would have shown the same behavior towards them if they had been in CODY's place.]

[While you might be right in your assumption that LEAF and RED are relieved that CODY is now taking the bullets that were intended for those two, it seems that LEAF and RED find no joy in the reason why the gun was fired in the first place.
