Zooble kickstarting Caine’s existential crisis regarding his purpose

His crashout being inevitable (hyper realistic analog horror-esque Caine when?)

Zooble being left off the favourite character vote even though they were an option in the episode

Caine getting significantly more aggressive towards them than everyone else (look at the way pilot Caine talked to them compared to now it’s night and day)

I firmly believe that Zooble is the least likely to get abstracted and I honest to god thought they were the safest next to Kinger in terms of narrative torment outside of that. But seeing a gradual change in their dynamic (Caine being based on AM isn’t lost on me, especially considering what AM does to Ted at the end of the story when he pisses him off through what he views as the greatest act of spite ever conceived) I have a feeling that Zooble’s gonna be going through the RINGER soon.

Also, I think that’s the reason he goes for Zooble so much? Despite having the most abstract body they’re the least far gone, they even say to Gangle “you’re a human”. They’re a realist who genuinely cares for everyone and just craves normality in the world they’re trapped in, something that Jax is vehemently against and wants to play up being a cartoon creature when it’s making him absolutely MISERABLE on the inside.

This is why I love this show so much, it EASILY could’ve been “cute looking thing but it’s actually creepy and it’s got sooo much loooreeee” number 482 but it’s not. I’m so happy it went with the character drama approach and all of them have so much interesting stuff going on.

Now that the character centred episodes are over though…I think we’re gonna get some answers really soon.

Pomni and Jax’s friendship is really cute but come on you know damn well he’s gonna find a way to tank it
