We welcomed this beautiful girl into our home yesterday and already love her dearly. The need to rework something you’ve spent hours and hours on is absolutely devastating. I realized too late that one of my faves just wasn’t quite right and literally had to smash it with a hammer to remove it from its armature. It felt like murder 😭 that night I took a long walk and prayed. I learned long ago that when emotions start to take over it’s time to ask for help sharing your burdens. God inspired me to take a day to remember what really mattered in my life which helped to put things into perspective. I spent the day yesterday taking my first full day off in a long while. I spend the day with my family and pets and generally just not thinking about deadlines or customers. Today I came back to work refreshed and feeling much more positive. I got to squeeze a little work in today on a side project that started as a prototype for a commission. I always draft my patterns and make prototypes before ever touching the actual fur. That stuff can get expensive so I try to make any mistakes on the first draft.
