I just wanted to put this out there, because I saw a reddit post in the PMD subreddit that made me (rationally in my opinion) angry:

Do not let anyone shame you out of creating.

If you are drawing, or creating, or specifically in this case making a PMD fancomic, you are doing more then some bitches that want to complain about whether or not something is(especially free, passion made fandom content) “made poorly”.

It doesn’t matter if you do traditional art, digital art, or you use screenshots of the game.

It doesn’t matter if your OCs look like game accurate copies or if they don’t look anything like the pokemon they are supposed to be.

It doesn’t matter if english is your third or only language and you have typos.

It doesn’t matter if you have 5,000 followers or none.

It doesn’t matter if, god forbid, you use a popular pokemon like riolu (specifically the pokemon the creator of the post was making fun of, which wow its almost like popular pokemon are popular for a reason)

If you are having fun and enjoying what you are creating, fuck anyone who says otherwise!

Comics take HOURS to make. Hundreds to thousands, even. If all you want to do is drag people down for having fun, you are an asshole who needs to find something better to do with your time. Especially frustrating that, while im an adult whos drawn for 10+ years and doesn’t give a shit, there are children and beginner artists who get wildly discouraged by this kind of negativity, even if you aren’t talking directly to them.

Anyway this has been a long winded way to say don’t be a jerk and support your fellow artists. If you also do a PMD comic feel free to drop it in the comments so i can go see them and feel less angry about the world lmao

Who are your favorite characters to write in the comic?

Ohhh thats a hard one. Ill answer it in parts!

Out of our main duo, I’d say Amoris is more fun to write (but Hester is more fun to draw).

Out of NPCs that I didn’t make, probably either Chatot, or eventually upcoming Spinda, or any of the future trio.

Out of OCs I made for this who AREN’T Hester or Amoris…! Well, thats spoiler territory, but i like one of the Exploration Teams that shows up within the next two or three chapters quite a but :3c

There is actually! I don't have separate playlists for characters, but there is a playlist for everyone and I know which song is for who haha. I can't share the whole thing for Spoiler reasons [tm] but I can probably throw a song off the playlist out there every once in awhile if anyone is interested. Here's one:

Is Hester close to anyone in Treasure Town prior to finding Amoris on the beach?

He's got a few family members in Treasure Town, actually! We'll see them in an upcoming chapter :3c Also, he had a few part time jobs around Treasure Town- he'll mention where and with who in passing dialogue! As for normal friends though, not really!

May 2025 Update!

Hey!! Haven't posted in a bit again, so figured I'd make an update! This is a bit of a long one, sorry its so wordy!

Schedule First of all, I couldn't really keep up with the posting schedule I had planned! I actually came really close, but I couldn't really work on anything but ETU, and it was too stressful, and the pages aren't my favorite, so going forward I'm just going to set smaller goals on how long to work on it, rather then a page goal. That being said, I'm almost finished with the entirety of the next chapter, so I should have that out relatively soon!

Accessibility I started going through and making image IDs for some of the pages for ETU- but it was taking awhile, and I almost ALWAYS forget to add them for new pages- so I'm going to be taking a different approach to making ETU a bit more accessible for those using screen readers- There is now a written version of ETU on AO3! I'll also be using the written version to better plan out chapters, but the comic is always going to posted first. The written version will be posted shortly after the full chapter of the pages are posted. There won't be any huge differences between the comic and the fic, but some things will be more spelled out in the written version, since for the comic I'm relying more on things like facial expressions. Also fair warning that I haven't really written consistently since like... Middle school? So it might not be the best, but I'm working on improving haha! Here's a link to ETU on AO3 Potentially looking for beta readers I'm also interested in beta readers- both for the comic, and for the written version! What I'm really looking for is a few people who can look at the pages and/or written version and go "Yeah that makes sense" or "that doesn't read right", and not anyone to actually work physically on the comic with me. If anyone is interested in that, please feel free to comment or DM me. If I don't chose you please don't take it personally- I would prefer someone who writes or makes comics themselves so examples of works are appreciated!

Life stuff Unfortunately, I have outside factors playing into why I haven't updated in a bit either. I recently had to make the decision to get my dog euthanized due to her ever expanding list of health problems, and her last few vet bills, plus an unexpected hospital trip for me (I'm fine, don't worry!) cost a lot of money, so I've been picking up overtime at work, so I haven't had as much time to do anything else really! Its gonna be awhile yet before I can get off the overtime list, but once I do I'll have more time for art.

In the art of Hester with his mom, it looks like they’re in Pokemon Square. If that’s the case, how did Hester end up on the Grass Continent?

Good eye! :3c ill get into it more in a special episode wayyyy down the line, but Hester’s mother, Hart, used to be in a Rescue Team which opperated close to pokemon square! She was the leader of Rescue Team Charity! They had a few rival teams around the area, such as Rescue Team Aether and Exploration Team Shooting Stars!

Hester’s mother actually still lives around Pokemon Square, as Hester moved to Treasure Town (by himself!) there will be more info on this in the comic!

AMORIS WAS RIGHT I DIDN'T FINISH.... Guess who got to coloring and burnt out completely! So I don't think I will be able to keep up with the road map like planned [chapter 2 isn't even close to being done with coloring, despite me almost exclusively working on ETU while drawing,,,,] But I will still try and do updates as frequently as I can without burning out </3
