    『 ღ 』  —   If you weren’t paying close attention, you could have said that there was a wild Arcanine strutting down the streets of Foxglove City. So many concerned stares from the adults while the children watched in awe, begging their parents to play with the fire-type. None of them questioning the reason behind why it seemed so behave for a “wild” pokemon. It seemed they were unaware of the tiny trainer who was sleeping peacefully on his back. 

Traveling on your own was always hard, but to do it without a flying-type on hand was even worse. Rin would spend days on foot before reaching his destination, but that was just a sacrifice he had to make in order to find inspiration. Luckily for him his Arcanine, Basil was more than willing to give his trainer a ride on his back. Even better was the fact that his fur was so soft and comfy so he could just nap during his trips. 

Such a sweet dream, filled with all kinds of sweet desserts and tasty drinks. Rin was practically in heaven. Or... at least he was... He was welcomed back to reality when Basil suddenly stopped in his tracks. Tired and confused, Rin climbed up from his position, peaking over his pokemon’s head only to see a man on his bike standing in front of them. 

“Ahhh~ I’m sorry! Am I in your way??” RIn waved his arm, hoping to grab the man’s attention. He began to tug on his Arcanine’s fur, signaling him to turn the other way. “Come on, Basil. Move aside for the nice man.”

It’s a curious mystery, how people fall in love, How everyone but me falls in love. I just don’t get it, Though I keep trying, there’s no emotion.  I can’t even remember the last time my heart fluttered.

        『 ღ 』  —   Such a large city. Such a tiny Zorua lost in the city... Such a tiny boy lost in the city with the Zorua...... You get the idea. It was just no surprise that Rin and Cream would find themselves lost in Primrose City. At first, it started off as simple day dedicated to nothing but shopping and simple sightseeing, but the next thing they knew they were asking around trying to find their way back to their hotel.

He was tired. He was pouty. He just wanted to go home. Rin just didn’t want to be lost anymore. It was irritating. But all those feelings disappeared when he noticed an unfamiliar Breloom approaching them. So cute!! The artist ran towards the grass-type with a smile on his face, he just wanted to play with him, much to Cream’s dismay. 

“You’re so pretty!!” Rin ran towards the pokemon, stretching his arms over his head to pet him. Cream on the side ready to attack the second he showed any suspicious behavior. “You’re definitely not a wild pokemon, so where’s your trainer??”

Sometimes Wyn wanted to thank every deity out there for Evron. The breloom was by far his most relaxed companion, choosing to stick close to his trainer and follow along rather then run off to who knows where like some pokemon. Looking at you Aksel. Which is why when he stopped in Primrose City to pick up some more supplies the last thing he expected was to see his companion missing from his side. 

just once I want my team to not wander off. is this really so much to ask??

Letting out what could possibly be the biggest sigh of regret on this side of Agron, the trainer dropped his acquired goods with a mumbled apology and took off. Honestly, was this just something that happened to him or do other trainers often lose track of their teammates? Maybe it was something with the way he trained them…..

       『 ღ 』  —   Yawn... Rubbing his heavy eyes, it felt as though he would pass out at that very moment. Maybe it was a mistake for him to stay up all night painting the starry sky. But he didn’t regret a second of it. So beautiful and clear. Stars perfectly aligned, lighting up the sky so well. It would be a crime for him not to have at least tried painting it. Unfortunately, the consequences were just too much for his frail body.

"Maybe... Uguu... Good....??” Even Rin wasn’t sure what he was talking about. So blinded by exhaustion, if he was more aware, he’d be surprised he hadn’t bumped into anyone yet. He was pretty much a walking hazard at this point. Not sure where he was going or what he was doing. What was the poor boy even thinking?

And so his face met the dirt.

       『 ღ 』  —   There was this feeling inside him as though he would throw up from how nervous he was. He was never good at telling what other’s were thinking, but the fact his face stayed the same the whole time was a bit unnerving, even if he was probably just sitting like that because of the sketch. But still... Rin was scared he wouldn’t like it

He looked away, a bit anxious for the man’s response. The fear he had was making him only want to expect the worse. After all, what if he didn’t like it? Then he’d just be thought of as some creeper. That would be so embarrassing! Not to mention a huge blow to his self esteem. But he had to face the truth. Slowly, he fixed his gaze at his model and, to his surprise, he was smiling!

He adored it... Those were his exact words. Rin could feel his heart racing, he couldn’t believe what he was hearing, but the comment still made him happy. Exceedingly happy.

“R-Really??” On the outside, Rin managed to keep his calm. But on the inside... Well, he was jumping all over the place. “Umm... If you want, you can keep it!” 

     Perhaps it is true that a talent can also attract talent. Considering that the boy’s sketch is one of raw magnificence, he can’t help but deem the tested theory proven.

    Of course, he wanted to be awed by the other’s work - a natural inclination that comes with being a ( former ) idol. But to witness such grandeur, with himself as the source of inspiration or maybe even the topic of said drawing itself, is leaning quite more into a profuse kind of amazement.

    An easy smile replaces the typical scowl on his lips, his fingers brushing over the sketch with refined grace.

         “This is very beautiful,” he answers honestly. “You make me look more attractive than I really am. Like it, is a weak phrase. I adore it, actually.” He glances up at the boy in sincere laughter. “I’m honoured to have been a subject in your drawing.”

Art style

Rin doesn’t have one specific style he likes to use. He tries combining different styles to create something he’d thinks everyone would like. However, there are styles he tends to use more depending on what he draws. His go to style is a more realist style to capture all the little details and the beauty of what he sees. When drawing models, he continues to go the realist approach, but he experiments with different art styles in order to have his models pop from the canvas. Every now and then he doodles cartoons.
