Love is never stationary. It is consistently moving, changing and growing. Don’t be afraid to let it get difficult, don’t be afraid to not make sense. Don’t be afraid to mess everything up. Love is never about being perfect. It is about messing up again and again and still forgiving and loving the person across from you.

It wasn’t until this that I realized I never wanted to fall asleep without your red locks, and freckles dimples on the sides of your yellow teethed smile.

I wrote this piece after watching a documentary on Feminism. How grateful we are to live in a time of tolerance and love. We have come far in recognizing independence of race and gender; the journey still continues. Keep the conversation going.

against men

liberating ourselves does not

defy sexual identity

but a choice to speak

the liberation

of women’s ideas

bold and proud

our bodies a symbol

of women’s ideals to win back

the rights ordained to themselves

I don’t wear makeup

to appease the masses

but to please

the identification of myself

don’t judge this shape

as the limitation of my character

or the latitude of my ultimate potential

for our intellectual independence

I’m sorry I wasn’t thinking about you. I didn’t mean to lead you on. I’m afraid of being a bad person, I’m afraid of who I am becoming. I apologize deeply for making these mistakes. I am human, please understand that fucking up is inevetiable. You cannot fight the inevitable as much as we try. Please forgive me. I’ve asked too many times, you’ve begun to recognize my grief of our relationship an oppurtunity to take advantage of me. The second I turned around and saw you were the one with the knife in my back I cried. I’m trying so hard not to play the victim card, but it’s the only card I’ve got.

Strange women society

Look at her, she’s smart and she knows what she wants. She has a fire that doesn’t stop for anyone, and she sees through everything you’ll try to tell her. She’s stronger than she looks and she’s not afraid to show you. She’s everything she said she’d be and she knows it. Yeah, you might feel the need to protect her but you never need to worry about her.

The elderly are no longer automatically given respect because the state of modern medicine allows them to get old in spite of a lifetime of bad decision making instead of having survived so long through good decision making. Age no longer equals wisdom.
