Did some light practice. The cube took longer for me to draw than the lighting. Good news is I downloaded a bunch of new texture brushes and have a bigger texture library now.
This class is free and while it says introduction, it's a very very in-depth class for programming that starts from knowing nothing. If you've ever wanted to learn, here's a good place to start, and IT'S FREE!
I honestly haven't finished the entire class but made it about halfway through. I may actually try and finish it this time though! I've been babied by GML being so much easier a language than C+
I decided I wanted to make the walls of my rooms visible with that overhead kind of perspective. So I made the door in the top picture first, and then used my current tallest sprite to test it. I quickly realized I鈥檇 have to angle the sides of the room so I鈥檇 get a less top down view to match wit the perspective of the characters. I really had to push it to get the sprite to fit.
Note: Don鈥檛 make any sprites taller than this, or the sprite will be unable to go through the standard door...
