Love is a fragile thing (and it was never mine to have).
Was it hard to think I felt the same?
Even when I defied my own beliefs because.. because..
But tell me, who is really to blame?
Especially when an "I love you" is the cause?!
Yet.. I wonder how I could even do so to you,
Until now, I cannot believe that I still do,
And to think, I loved you through and through,
So I ask, did you even love me too?
You were a spark when it was cold as winter,
I never expected at a place of war was a response so uncandid,
To my question, there was only one answer,
That perhaps.. when you "loved me," you never did.
(More info under the cut.)
After everything Orion did for Megatronus..
Fight for him, with him. Support him.
..Love him.
Yet.. what happened in the end?
Was it worth it?
(AKA: Orion crashes out.)
(Note: First poem where one of them crashes out.)

..You called it love?
(Part 2 to this poem)
I wonder, do you still whisper my name through the crash?
Do you still dress your wounds in memories that could never tire?
You wanted me to change from ash,
As if love could outshout the fire.
You were the flaming dreamer,
The healer, the fool,
Oh "brother" mine, you are no redeemer,
You thought you could anchor me from the blood pooled.
Primus, in every battle.. I almost pitied you,
I tore the world apart for you,
Broke it open while bleeding (FOR YOU),
You were but a ghost, a dream.. and what did you do?
Even when they turned against us,
I am sorry,
I will still offer you this,
For the blood. For the ruin. For the way you looked at me in the end. For me.
Even if we parted, if I could have been the one you dreamed of,
Maybe I would have through the silence,
Perhaps through the tears.. I should have,
If only I had that compliance.
What use is there in asking the winds?
My fury has already sealed our fate,
We are both stained with our sins,
None that your love could unmake.
But be honest with me, brother,
Through all things, did you truly think I meant a single word?
You should have known better to remember,
You were the one taught me how easy it is to lie when you love someone.
(More info under the cut.)
Orion says the words he always wanted to hear. Both regret and apology. A soft voice through the wreckage of the mines.
Despite the spite that lingers.
But beneath it all, something always festered. Because monsters don’t repent.
They smile. And in the end, was he ever the Orion that D-16 knew?
Optimus just didn't find it right to admit he loved him too.

All's fair in love and war.
(Part 1 to this poem)
I called him brother,
Forged in fire, loud yet gentle laughter,
Not by blood, but by something that grew older,
Shared silence, and the taste of ash.
We stood back to back in battles no one else had dared name,
He was fury made be, a charm braided in crimson threads and knives,
And I- I was the pause before the blow and flame,
The question, while he drew his hand and cries.
He laughed when I spoke of mercy, only a pretty word for cowards,
But he never struck me down- no, he only glanced like I was the last good thing yet to ruin.
A relic whose blood was yet to shower.
All but a ghost. A dream.
As everything had been turned against us,
He turned back with fire,
And yet, in some blind way I found righteous,
I begged the flames to stop, despite knowing he would not tire.
We parted, not with hate,
But a silence that struck louder than any weapon or blame,
He walked one path, soaked in the tears of fate,
And I walked away and further, besides tasting his name.
Am I to ask the winds - was I in the wrong to follow him far,
To believe mere kindness could tether unshakeable fury made be?
That my love could unmake what had already placed it's prints in tar,
To what foolishness could make clean this road which is bloody?
Perhaps he was always meant to burn,
Leaving I, alone,
To watch the smoke and only remember,
How it felt to be warm when the winds have blown.
(More info under the cut.)
(Note: As this is my first SG poem, I don't know much about this universe hehe.)
Did D-16 really expect that this.. "Orion Pax" to really mean what he said?
"Let's show them we are more than meets the eye."
Sometimes, being more than meets the eye is not always a good thing.
After all, it just means yo- they have been deceived all along. None of what you saw nor heard was the truth.

For it was you.
If you were to say it again,
Would you regret it?
Or shall your words fall in vain,
Banished to a forgotten pit?
Consider to be willing,
Phrases so sweet, failing to taste more,
Warm sugar-coated sentences left one chilling,
Due turned out there was nothing in store.
You loved me to forget,
Once in denial of another love,
Surely was our love was warmer than homestead,
Only to fall into the coldest depths, it dove.
Phrasing words with apologies,
For once, there was no reason to believe a word said from yee,
It's clear to me that it was always going to down in the seas,
For it was you who once loved me.
(More info under the cut.)
Yes..
Perhaps Orion Pax was naive to think that it could always be that way.
But could he be blamed in such a manner if it felt more true than the lies spoken?
(Note: Yes. I did reference the scene where D-16 dropped Orion - briefly and subtly. "Banished to a forgotten pit?")

The timekeeper (he who kept old times in his grasp).
In the days of peace, I thought you had my back,
However, this I seem to forget,
The ice already had more than one crack,
Lie to me all you want, you were the best person I ever met; that I say with regret.
With those years where oppression stood,
I cried to them, that we may stand all as one,
But I regret all harm that came from it, more than words ever could,
I never imagine we'd continue, like it was fun.
It went on for millenia, forgetting who we were at heart,
To whom it may concern, I failed to realize this long before,
And yet, I managed to do it all with a flickering spark,
Lie to me once more, a bittersweet symphony, and see what more there is take for you in store.
In the end, was it.. all for nothing?
Or rather, for an ending we abandoned with what we reaped to sow,
I turn to you, "I'm sorry, old friend;" wondering what you were thinking,
After all, with one last glance, this is the goodbye I should have said long ago.
(More info under the cut.)
If only it was different, it was like a moth into a flame.
As if it could be different, the choice was already made.
And Optimus could never take it back.

Blind fruit.
A fruitful future,
Yet as this apple falls,
We are only consumed and tortured,
Is this really the future that calls?
Tell me if this is the purpose of our creation,
If so, it is also to be wasted away,
We are merely play things for another's reason,
Lies are the words you they say.
Can't we be more?
A certain something to be found,
Don't you too wonder who your acts were for?
You, like everyone else, are not safe and sound.
This fruit cannot only be consumed,
If left for too long, it will rot,
Don't inhale their toxic fumes,
Let me repeat, is this the future we all sought?
(More info under the cut.)
Megatron tries to reason with Optimus about the purpose of their onlining.
The classic crop of pity.
Though, it seems both fruits have different intentions.

Sightless future.
A little too careful, don't you think?
We're all made one and the same,
Everything may be normal when you blink,
At least with a letter and two numbers as your name.
It doesn't last long once you realize,
That even if you follow their petty rules,
You'll either be their prize,
Or something they'll carelessly lose.
They swore that our efforts were to save us,
It did, but at what cost?
After all it was to trade so our home remained just,
Does that not serve as a reason to not instead do what we must?
Though, in truth, we are also to blame,
Our ignorance caused us to believe lies,
Was it really worth all the strain,
Even as slowly our spark dies?
Did you mean it when you said you'll stay?
Those words brought warmth to my spark,
Did you mean it even as we gone astray?
Though I admit, you did leave a mark.
You scarred me,
Your love was like a blade,
However, you saw what came to be,
Though, wasn't it you who banished me and left me in the shade?
(More info under the cut.)
Megatron questions his time spent with Orion Pax. It was a happy time. It.. It always was. It was.. genuine.
..Did Pax even really mean it all?
Did Prime even?

Gone astray.
How would we know this was our end?
After all, we are both to blame,
The destruction we could not mend,
But we can't change things anymore, it seems.
For this is the doom we brought upon ourselves,
Our naivety brought war,
Many comrades fell,
Perhaps we did take it too far.
As I watch amiss,
To say our final goodbyes,
I cannot help but reminisce,
Of what could have been, as time flies.
If this is what we deserve,
So be it,
Even if our cries may not be heard,
I wish we talked once more, even just a bit.
To hold your hand before you left,
Before we part forever,
In another life, I would have spoken the words I never said,
I love you.. but goodbye, my dear.
(More info under the cut.)
The two fought for so long. For their cause, they had reason.
But.. after Optimus' sacrifice, Megatron wonders if it was worth all the time wasted.

A Star's Lament.
(Project: Muse #3)
A fool to think this way,
That bad things shouldn't,
And I failed to speak my final say,
It happened again, when I thought it wouldn't.
I started, only to stop,
As if there was something we could be,
Standing tall with you, only to drop,
You live in my thoughts, because I had lost the key.
You were the sun as I were the stars,
A warm yellow flame, with my dark blue and bleeding moon,
Though as I came close, my heart chars,
I thought I knew you, then you slipped right through.
Perhaps I should have realized I had the chance to fix you instead,
And I regret that, more that just a bit,
This I say to you, old friend, as your flame turns yellow to red,
"The sunset is beautiful, isn't it?"
(More info under the cut.)
Everytime Optimus stared at the setting sun.. it gives him unnerving nostalgia to a certain mech.
D-16's optics had the same colors.
Yellow, orange-
-then red.

Service and Survivor's Guilt
Oh I swore to never end the war,
Yet what is this burning sorrow?
Oh I'd rather see those who resist burn from my own hands,
Yet why does it hurt to see their lives end?
Call me a warlord or a mastermind,
Or is it worse? I don't mind!
Yes! The legends are true, I was the one behind it all,
Little did I know, it would be my downfall.
Oh it all fell before my eyes,
Just when I thought I would rise,
Oh that's right! I'm the only one to blame,
Just take my life away, by the unmaker's name!
Perhaps if I am here no longer,
Only then, the people will grow stronger,
If that is my one purpose to serve,
Then it is the only thing I deserve.
(More info under the cut.)
Im using bullets for this one. (I have a long explanation for this one. If you want, just read the fourth bullet if you want the summary🤷)
•We all know Megatron used to be D-16. He was a miner, cold-constructed, made to serve. (Functionism. What a 'glorious' thing.)
•So what if in the middle of the war, he would feel.. almost lost without the sense of purpose? As in, to the point he would accept it if his purpose was to die. We all know this: Megatron progressively lost his way throughout the war.
•He could and would have been so used to fighting for something. At the end of the war, when the Decepticons basically lost in the end (MTMTE/LL [Could also apply to Earthspark]), his mindset could have been like: 'Damn, I just wasted my entire lifetime on nothing.'
•So in summary: The Decepticons lost, Megatron wonders what happens next. If only he could have one last thing to do that actually meant something in the end, he would go as far to die for it.

Project Muse #2📜
Here are the poems based on the results of the last polls! Sorry for posting late again😭🙏 -🖋️
Not moths to their flame (to make them fly into our own). (Megatronus' pov)
Fuel added to the flame,
Blinded by this harming light,
Yet they claim, "we're one and the same,"
Then why is it that those lower are forced to fight?
Fighting, pulling, thrashing,
All just to live a life,
Come with me, away from all that flashing,
To show that we know what's past our strife.
You realize there's nothing too honest, if they're the liar?
Take my hand then we'll see,
Let us create an awakening fire,
Sink into my embrace, show them what we can be.
Light our path with braver souls than their's,
Show them what we mean,
Show that we're no longer scared,
Show there is more to be seen.
Burning with honor (as we show them justice yet mercy). (Orion's pov)
As I take your hand, feeling your warmth,
I know there's a fire too bright to be put out,
And though it scares me from the hearth,
I know it won't burn me but protect, making me proud.
Fight, lie, light,
All just to get revenge,
But I'll continue to follow, ignoring my own fright,
To show them what we came to avenge.
Let us tell them their own misfits, mirroring their own words,
I'll take your hand, locking our promise,
Coming alight like firey birds,
Sink into your embrace, sealed like a kiss.
This path, now clear to see, has no longer any fear,
Tell them our cause,
Tell we have things we hold dear,
Tell that their doings is where the line draws.
