Meowth? Both kanto and alolan

meowth is my fav babie thank you so much! they’re so mischievous and spunky!

it’s a beautiful day in sunny Alola, you’re sitting out on your porch swing, your Kanto Meowth curled in your lap. he purrs, a soft, sweet, musical sound. reaching your hand down, you card your fingers through his thick fur, feeling the muscles beneath his pelt twitch and wiggle as he stretches out, rolling onto his side for you to get the side of his face, right by his whiskers where it feels good. touching the surprisingly cold little coin on his face makes him shake his head, giving you a perturbed look, as if you’d booped him. with a laugh, you return to petting him, sinking your fingers into the plush fur, much like a stuffed animal. his purring returns, and you both look over at the sound of the bushes rustling out front.

out comes strolling a familiar stray, an Alolan Meowth. it had fought your precious baby for weeks on claiming the territory, but had become content to occasionally come by and offer you both company instead with his loss of the battle. you offer the seat next to you to the purple cat, and it jumps up beside you, meowing happily. your Meowth gives a chirping response, before settling back down to nap, and you reach over to scratch behind the other cat’s ears. his fur is thinner than his Kanto counterpart, due to the warm climate, but it gets much thicker behind the ears, on the tail, and on the chest. the stray is less well groomed, and his fur is a bit scruffier, a little rougher to the touch, but if he were to be cleaned up, he’d be as soft as a show cat! the coin on his head is warmer from sleeping in the sun, and he presses his face into your palm happily, lapping up the attention, and licking your fingers with a sandpaper tongue.

your own Meowth cracks open an eye and reaches a paw out to you, pulling your hand to him and nibbling at it with gentle, yet pointy teeth. it seems as though there will be a few happy hours of the two taking turns with your attention.
