Jade didn't activate Dominic's spider sense, which always confused the girl and it made her be more easily scared around her.

Also, hi, this is mun speaking. I'm Ink and it's nice to see you again or nice to meet you if this is the first time we see each other.

● BEFORE WE START:

So, basically this universe is kinda a mash-up of various continuities and one or two fanfics.

What does this mean? Probably some characters will be more mcu-wise while other may be more comics wise or ao3 wise or a mix of everything.

Why is this? Mainly because I only had read a handful of comics, watched the mcu movies, the animated shows, and some ao3 fanfics. I have a good grasp of the characters but prefer to put them on a situation that is more manageable and free rather than just follow one continuity.

Into the REAL lore:

When Dominic is 13 years old, she goes to Dusk Academy: a high school that also fuctions as a place to investigate and experiment different kinds of energy. Half of the academy is a normal high school and the other half is basically a lab. This lab is open to the public once a year in an expo, and Dominic's class went to the expo.

Dominic in a moment was seeing one of the newer experiments regarding spiders who were being exposed to different substances.

One of them? One of them was infected with ectoplasm and was kinda radioactive (since ectoplasm can't get detected and they just assumed it was a normal spider). The spider ends up phasing throughout its capsule and bites Dominic, which makes her feel dizzy but she goes to the bathroom in panic and ends up going home.

The spider ends up dead as soon as it bites her, since it passes to her the only thing that was keeping it kinda alive: ectoplasm.

Dominic is a mutant. Her power was supposed to make her a ghost once she died which the radioactivity did.

It killed her for a couple of minutes in the night while it mutated her body. But the ectoplasm bought her back, which means that her powers remained after being bought back.

She grew up overnight and her spider mutations showed up like every spiderperson. Her mom and step-dad were kinda absent so they didn't pay attention to the fact that their child grew up out of nowhere.

A month passes by Dominic had experimented her powers by experimenting in her basement since her parents are gone for hours, and ends up deciding to start to help as a hero since her inspiration was Daredevil and Spider-Man.

She starts off nameless but gradually she acquired a small reputation as Phantom since people had seen her use her ghost powers, but then when she discovered her webs, she started to use them to move around. Which lead her to be called Phantom-Spider

Now, her parents move her from Dusk High to Midtown High School since it's closer to hole because her parents argue that near Dusk High there was a new hero and thought that it would he less dangerous for her to be in Midtown.
