A memoir with grit, Tom Sizemore writes about rising from the bottom (a product of lower-income Detroit) to the top (scene-stealing appearances in movies like "Heat" and co-owning a restaurant with Robert DeNiro) to his substance abuse-filled fall from grace and bouts with depression and homelessness. Now 50 and with twin boys, Sizemore is taking stock of his life and capturing a moment in Hollywood history that claimed the lives of actors like River Phoenix and Chris Farley in this book.

Welcome to Random Roles, wherein we talk to actors about the characters who defined their careers. The catch: They don’t know beforehand what roles we’ll ask them to talk about.
The actor: Throughout the ’90s, Tom Sizemore ruled as one of American film’s preeminent tough-guy character actors, a punishingly intense macho man whose rugged presence and flair for dark comedy electrified cult classics (Point Break, True Romance, Natural Born Killers, Strange Days) and big commercial blockbusters (1996’s Heat, 1998’s Saving Private Ryan) alike. The following decade, Sizemore hit a prolonged personal and professional rough spot that entailed a high-profile battle with drug abuse, a prison stint, and a tortured relationship with Heidi Fleiss. Sizemore cleaned up in 2009, and has been more prolific than ever in the interim, popping up in everything from the 2010 Insane Clown Posse Western Big Money Rustlas to It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia to Company Of Heroes, a cinematic adaptation of the hit videogame series that has just been released on DVDand Blu-ray.

EXCLUSIVE: Tom Sizemore on Life, Sobriety, and Company of Heroes
Tom Sizemore discusses life, sobriety, and his new war movie Company of Heroes, debuting on Blu-ray and DVD February 26
After cutting his teeth with smaller roles in movies such as Lock Up and Born on the 4th of July in the late 1980s, Tom Sizemore broke onto the scene in full force in the 1990s with a slew of well-received roles in films such as Passenger 57, Wyatt Earp, Heat, Natural Born Killers, and Saving Private Ryan, to name just a few. He hasn’t stopped working ever since with more than 20 films either in the can or in post production waiting for release.
I recently had the honor of speaking with this talented actor about his new film Company of Heroes, debuting on Blu-ray and DVD February 26th. He portrays Dean Ranson in this World War II drama, based on the popular video game of the same name, that mixes history with fiction in unique and wonderful ways. The story takes place during World War II’s infamous Battle of the Bulge, following a group of soldiers engaging on a dangerous mission to stop Adolf Hitler from building an atomic weapon.
In our wide-ranging conversation, we spoke about the extreme conditions in Bulgaria, how he surprised himself with being able to pull off the action scenes, working with a diverse cast such as Chad Collins, Vinnie Jones, and Neal McDonough, and even more candid topics such as his sobriety (he has been clean since May 2009). Take a look at what Tom Sizemore had to say in a very memorable interview.

Polimedia client SALLY KELLERMAN guest-stars on WORKAHOLICS.
MTV News brings you the first look at this week’s all-new Workaholics, “The Worst Generation”.
In this Sneak Peek, entitled “What Would Kurt Loder Do?”, Blake and Ders explore an old folk’s home and come across some old school players; Peggy (“Back to School“‘s Sally Kellerman) and Arthur (Mickey Jones, one of the coolest guys of all time).
Sadly, Kurt Loder could not be reached for comment.  Neither could his leather jacket.  We’d really hoped to get an exclusive with that jacket, it’s seen more music history than Ringo Starr’s snare drum.
See living history in the form of “The Worst Generation”, this Wednesday at 10/9 CT, only on Comedy Central.
