Announcement time! As with my other tournaments, I like to take a little break (I kind of already started and will try to not let it be as long as the last one). I also said before that I'd do some random polls in between and this time I'm also hopefully going to actually do some.

Now the big part; this blog is not meant to be solely Disney, but I know a lot of people have been joining for that and I've been having so much fun with it, however, the only Disney exclusive idea I have is Muppet specific. So while I'm on hiatus if anyone has ideas for a Disney tournament they'd like to see, you can send it via ask or dm and I'll consider it. Either way, unless an idea really grips me, I'll be posting a poll sometime in the near future to see what we want to do next!

And regardless of if people feel like continuing to follow along or not, I just want to say again, thank you for playing along and making these polls so much fun ^u^

Tumblr's Next Top Disney Prince:

No longer a King of Fools, Quasimodo now reigns true as Tumblr's Next Top Disney Prince!!

In this competition Jim Hawkins reached for the stars and came to be the next one closest to getting the treasured crown. I unfortunately forgot to do a runner-up match, but I think given the outpour of activity on the other polls, it's fair to say the plucky Donald Duck probably would've come next, though the daring Robin Hood would obviously put up a fight. While only one could inherit this particular title, each of these characters is still a prince in their own right.

In all honestly, I was worried this tournament wouldn't take off as much, so seeing the outright cavalcade of cheering courtiers filled me with such delight! Thank you all for making this another gallant ball, and I hope each of you have a noble day!!

I want to start this by saying that I have nothing against this anon, especially because it's never come up before and I've never said anything on it, but going forward I do not want to receive asks like this, at least not in this format. I'm a fan and I have thoughts and opinions like everyone else, and I'd be happy to chat about it if someone sends me a message or an ask that I can answer privately. I've been there, I get it, it can be really hard when your character loses, especially when they mean a lot to you, but I don't like the idea of sharing posts like this publicly and potentially making people feel bad for being happy that their character won over another. Again, this isn't to callout anon. I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you, but I wanted it to be known that in the future if I receive asks of this nature, even innocent ones like this that aren't particularly negative, I will probably delete them.

donald duck propaganda: there have been many points about Donald's illustrious life as a cartoon character and a WWII hero, and he was even a type of ambassador between the US and various countries of Latin America with his Saludos Amigos and Three Caballeros feature films, but there is another layer to Donald... in his world of comics. From being the star of Disney newspaper-funny comic strips, to an adventurer, single parent, and working class icon who keeps his rich uncle in check in Bark's and Rosa comic... Donald continues to be a favourite in Europe, with many comics featuring him in many roles: a superhero, a secret agent, his classic form as an insecure, yet loving parent, and, of course, a literal prince! From the Disney comics retellings of Hamlet (starring donald) to a tragic love story involving a sea queen and her doomed marriage to... you guessed it, Donald Duck. Truly "the Gable of our stable", Disney's own words about Donald Duck and his iconic appeal. It's not just about popularity, though. It's the timelessness of Donald's character and image that defines a prince. He's not always the kindest or bravest, but no matter what role you put him in, he doesn't give up, and 91 years later... he's still standing and going strong. Timeless princely qualities, while serving as a symbol for different eras and people.

Donald Fauntleroy Duck propaganda

Quasimodo is a good boi and i also like him, but Donald is on A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL. im not sure what does it take to be a Disney prince, but Don has it.

He's been here for a long time, in a lot of media, but is NEVER truly recognized as he deserves. He is a mage, a symbol of hope from ww2, a superhero, a secret agent, an adventurer and so, SO much more!

But one of the most important things is... He is a dad. A single dad of three kids that aren't even his! Huey, Dewey and Louie are triplets that have grown up with Don, and i have never seen a better father. Donald struggles with financial issues(even though his uncle is the richest duck in the world) but still, HDL NEVER had any day without food on their table, never weren't able to go to a scouts camp because they didn't have the money, never weren't able to have a toy they really really wanted, even if Donald had to make it HIMSELF, even if he had to work day and night on 15 different jobs and be fired in the end of the day because of his bad luck.

Don't even get me started on his bad luck.

Even with all of this, and his OWN family not giving a crap about him(they really don't care, e.x. he got stranded in an island for ONE MONTH, his family knew he was missing, but they didn't even bother to search for him. e.x.2 he was locked on a pantry for an entire day, while his family WAS HOME, and they didn't bother to just. OPEN. A. DOOR.)

No one recognizes what he does or who he is, how hard he tries, even in real life! That's one of the reasons he deserves this.

Look, I love Quasi and he deserves the world that he was kept away from. Aint gonna deny that.

BUT DONALD???

Donald Fauntleroy Duck? Who has always been cast as a second fiddle to Mickey Mouse in their stories. Always trying to prove his worth in a world that thinks he's funny because of his temper and quack-lisp?

He deserves to win it all and be the Next Top Disney Prince as recognition for all the work he's done for the last 91 years (almost).

Who else has an actual official commission to fight for the US (from WW2)?? And an official US Coast Guard icon, dressed as a Pirate? Who gets to be chilling on a collage campus, getting an honorary degree (Univ. o Oregon)?? And moonlights for an Argentinian Sports Club?

propaganda post for quasimodo:

quasimodo goes through so much and has an official "i want" song which is not typical for disney men. he stands for being accepted and changing others perspectives on those who are excluded, as well as is pretty decent representation of a disabled character. he remained kindhearted through his worst moments and truly stands for what a prince should be.
