this is my chaotic stupid-good eladrin warlock son finn!! he is prone to mood swings and astral-projecting swampy green ogres to scare his enemies.
i would die for him but our campaign sadly just got canceled so i’m looking for a new home for both him and me ;;~;;

hey! sorry if you’ve answered before but what are your brush settings like? i love your style
hi anon! i answered a similar ask on my artblog, here!
as for brush settings in general, i don’t really experiment a lot (with wet edges or shape/color jitter, etc) but mostly I play around with the opacity and flow settings!
opacity is good for figuring out shadows/light, and when I’m painting I usually set my Flow to around 20 or 30%; the lower it is the more painterly your brushstrokes turn out. It’s great for blending! :”)
have fun!

i have a fair bit of art that I haven’t posted on here from twitter, but here’s a very quick study of the john william waterhouse painting, “the rose bower”. I’d like to name mine, “just so tired”

today (april 15th) is my art idol leonardo da vinci’s birthday! :”)
this is a little study on the angel he painted in Louvre version of Madonna of the Rocks, which kind of turned into a portrait of a younger leo, in his early 20s. on a day like this a chiaroscuro painting done in the spirit of experimentation seemed v fitting <3
and if anybody’s interested i gushed a lot about why I love and respect him so much in this twitter thread - and this one. HAPPY LEO’S BIRTHDAY EVERYBODY
