I have a query for you. With quarantine being the way it is, we've taken to watching movies with the older girls, 9 and 11.
We are going through the movies that were important to us growing up, (my eldest thinks Leia is the coolest!) But I want something for my 9 year old, who is an out and PROUD lesbian. She and her girlfriend snap chat and play Roblux, they are adorable.
My mother....being my mother, would not have allowed me to watch them even if I knew what were, so I don't know where to look.
What movies were important to you as a young queen person? What are must watch movies in queen culture?
I'm aiming for a PG-13 limit, but anything with decent representation wouldn't go amiss.
You don’t have to do anything sexual that you’re not interested in. Moreover, you don’t have to explain why. “No” is a complete sentence.
Not interested in getting pegged? You don’t have to.
Monogamous and not into the idea of another partner? Okay.
Not sure about period sex? Cool.
And if your partner decides to question or mock your maturity or your masculinity or your sexuality because you say no? It’s time to re-evaluate the relationship. See if you don’t deserve better than that.
Just so we’re all clear on where I stand: Black lives matter, trans women are women, trans men are men, nonbinary people are beautiful, asexual/aromantic folks have a place in the LGBTQ community, Queer is not a dirty word, and being “anti fascist” is a moral position, not a political one.
Quarantine date night(s). Morracan dinner tonight from scratch. And rice pudding, because my fiance loves me.
And we get to play with fire again (more on that later)
And tomorrow I have a quasi date with a friend-perspective-partner-we-havent-really-had-that-talk-yet. We will be watching a movie virtually over wine. So that will be fun
This is after I made masks for us this morning because the world is crazy.
It has been awhile. So there have been more than a few rearrangements of my life but we can let those go. I just wanted to see how everyone is doing through quarantine.
I've discovered I'm far more extroverted than originally thought and there does seem to be enough people input in my life. Who knew the poly one wouldn't do well without more varied company, shocker I know.
We are going to #breakthestigma a minute here. I started this hat when I entered outpatient care in January. Just a stupid knit to keep my hands busy.
My experience was regrettable.
But I kept the hat going. Things were so bad I could barely get one round done. But I came back to it again and again. And row by pain stakingly slow row. Eight inches of knitting, it slowly grew.
So did I. Step by step, often on a cane, I grew. I maybe still be a work-in-progress, but those rows add up and you get somewhere.
The only way to be better is to look at yourself. That's what enlightenment is. You realize there is no difference between that which is you and that which is them.
So the Gods have decided I need a new tattoo. I'm 💯 behind this idea but here is what it will be... eventually. As soon as I can afford it. But hey it's my birthday in about a month so maybe
