“my teenage child is so selfish” is an interesting thing I only see online moms say about their daughters. I’ve never seen one say it about their son. I think it’s because daughters enter the teenage years and begin developing critical thinking skills and independence and it enrages these parents who were using their kids as their own little therapists and unpaid domestic laborers.

Funger getting removed from Itch.io is spooky and I hope they don't remove games like that from steam libraries n' such. The only silver lining is that the terminally online discourse is probably really, really funny atm. I can imagine several fandom-flavoured discourses that are basically: "Er your puritanism caused this!!" "No your problematic content caused this!!!" No babes it's Evil Draconian Governments deciding they want everyone's ID, want to track your every move and censor news media. The 'kids protection act' label is the only thinly veiled 'good' excuse they can come up with, your decade long debate has nothing to do with it.
