Political rant
I CANNOT believe anyone is excusing Trump’s abhorrent actions at Arlington. The extreme right talking about patriotism, but their chosen leader went to a sacred place in the US and used the gravestones of fallen patriots as a photo op. That is not patriotism, it’s narcissism.
Full disclosure, I’m completely anti-Trump even before this. But this action in and of itself is a bastardization of everything these MAGA people keep spouting
This rotten orange has disparaged veterans, used a cemetery for political gain, and has sold his own BIBLES as a political stunt. All of this should be reason enough for people to realize he’s a giant pile of sh!t
Clearly, being a felon, someone who has SA’d multiple women, and an overall horrible human being isn’t enough.
He’s not about America, he never has been. And I’m worried about what it will take for people to realize it.

Bridgerton season 3 is extremely rushed, especially for breaking it up into 2 parts. It’s like a speed run. I think fitting so many subplots is detrimental to season. 3 pregnancies, 2 proposals and that was just in one episode!
The timeline doesn’t make any sense either- how long were Kate and Anthony gone? Why was Eloise so sour to Cressida so suddenly? When did they become friends?
There is a lot of exposition without any context. In the book, they show the scene of how Colin and Penelope met. I would’ve loved to see that on screen. To see little Penelope pining for Colin, really hammering home how much she liked him. There were so few scenes of them together compared to Benedict with his mistress and Eloise and Cressida.
The season was promoted as being about Colin and Penelope but their plot seemed to fall to the wayside in favor of the others.
The actors were fantastic, of course but the writing just felt so choppy and rushed. Hopefully the next season is a bit more comprehensive.

Bridgerton season 2 is not The Viscount who Loved Me. And that’s fine. If anything, I hope they make changes to the next book/season for Benedict. I love Sophie but the show Benedict is much better than book Benedict. However, I hope they stick to the book for Colin. He’s an idiot in show and book but book Colin is a proud Male wife by the end and I can’t wait for that scene.

I’m in the middle of season 2 of Bridgerton and I love it but… why the hell did they pit Kate and Edwina against each other?! In the book, their relationship is one of the best familial relationships in the series.
Also, Kate’s phobia of storms is barely mentioned. It brings Kate and Anthony together and allows Julia Quinn to write one of the best adopted family scenes I’ve read.
I find I am enjoying the season more if I separate from the book- like it’s an AU fanfic with no one acting in character.
(I wanted unhinged Anthony)
EDIT: I read an interview with Chris van Dussen and I see why he changed the plot so significantly. It would have been hard to show the inner turmoil on screen and it more than likely would’ve come across the same as season 1. That being said, they could’ve pit Kate and Sienna against each other and kept the same tone. I dunno- I still have episode 7 and 8 to watch

If Netflix decides to make another Regency novel based series, can they do the Bareknunckled Bastards series?
It’s slightly more diverse and way less problematic

About Moxie (2021)...
I love that Amy Poehler told a story about a girl learning about feminism. It feels real to how I learned about feminism. It started with a singular experience then grew to learning about aspects of feminism and equality. Great movie for Women’s History Month.
