A page from the monster hunters guide on the Sèrejòt
Tumblr media
Text in Tsekàn (Lifnevòsa dialect)
Tòs Sèrejòt:
Imjitsòròs fa ngumòs tsàròthòs Sèrejòt, kì tsù ilenfòs dròmalen tè fjadawàr lewurakòs fa dranòs drasanòs. Thundàren salìwòra gonòs lòrìng nanòsa, tè drasanòs tòs. Thuwurenùr nesirásen fja tlìmìren ngè fja skogaìn.

Liridàr skonòr Sèrejòt. Sìsìwanòs fa sìmèntanòs. Lòrìng valorònòrsa, thonfalif fali lòshi ngo newalorò fa valorò, lehjènilòrèfshara lòmil. Translation into English (for those whose Tsekàn is a little rusty hehe)
The Sèrejòt:
The Sèrejòt is not a monster and barely a beast, but still it’s in this book for it can pose a threat occasionally and is very common. This book assumes you are familiar with basic knowledge of this creature, due to its common nature. Suggested weapons for killing are the spear or hunting pick.
Important things to know are its speed. You cannot outrun a Sèrejòt, you are not the exception either. They do not appear that fast, but they can reach incredible speeds. You cannot outclimb a Sèrejòt. If it has minor manipulation of gravity we do not know, evidence does not seem to support this. It is still incredibly good at climbing. Its skin is thick and difficult to pierce. It can be done, spear recommended, but hit it from the angle illustrated, to decrease risk of the strike deflecting. Better to hit it underneath its plates, the back of its head or its underside. When using a pick, strike only at the back of the head. Succeed in your strike in one go, you will likely not have more chances.
Sèrejòt can be difficult to hunt. They are quick to run away and hide. On trapping them, refer to the dedicated section on setting traps, all you’ll need can be found there.

First paragraph of the prologue to my story translated into Tsekàn!!
“Juleliròs tli Liñi thamò dàn ganòs rànkèstòs hewàtdòs, vàhèfshairòs gan ìl slûgo Saweshi. Dàrlere fja hìgèmle hjala hewàt. Lòshai thànesh, vàwenesh, dàn shìrshairi rilàrsa fi. Le hjala tsèlinle bràle fèli. Fa hjaladàr thamò. Imthamò imràn hon, kì thamò ron nàlthundàr fja ilifòs go tèràl, nìsfè nàledàre. Fja thamò im imràn tòs imjiròs ràn jìlòf il fjèròs.”
English version:
Darkness flooded the Flowerwoods as the sky’s push intensified, forcing Saweshi further into the mud. A quiet song drifted through the air. She stood frozen in place, listening, as the smell of blood filled the air. The melody was accompanied only by the rustling of leaves. And it was dark. Not dark as the night, but a dark as how one who is buried would describe it, given the chance. A darkness not unalike the blindness one gets from staring into the sun.
One of the longest texts I’ve translated so far into any conlang! Also I think the first time sharing any of my writing heheh. Tho it’s not much I still think it’s cool to see it in Tsekàn and it was fun to translate!
That’s it for now, haweja!

Ven! Posting more conlang stuff so here’s the Tèràl language family tree!
Tumblr media
A lot of stuff is still subject to change but this gives a nice general picture of the languages. Also you can see it mingling with a language from a different language family too! I don’t have much on that one yet but for now this is it.
I plan to work out most of the languages’ basics and work a few of them out in full with the main focus on Tsekàn. After that Àtrànthun, Bànjirosa and Keranian because some of the main characters are from those countries.
That’s all for now, haveja!

Fjànàlasa ò, gànme netsaròthòs fa nejitsòr. Imsanòr imjiròs ènsèrsa netsaròthòs, kì hàtòs sanòròs nejitsòr tòs jitsòrsa jiwom.”
Small part of the first lesson for those who want to become monster hunters concerning the difference between beast and monster.

You make valid points and I agree with you but please Mèrèk is a monster and I don’t say this lightly, there are other good sources of information please use those from now on
Guys I just discovered this text from the ancient prophecy and it's very troubling:
"Ìl tà rìdùhos ehedavsûr chûm todù nè nèsofodù, hàhin Zhìtùdolfa tà emzherù ansarù. Fà chûm hàtàvù li gàlàvù, hànolàvrm Sàdavsû sà zherer fà hjàlà emrìdù thòmàvù."
This is very important to know if you want to survive but I know many of you don't know the Tadolthin language so just for you I translated it into modern Tsekàn aswell:
"Il tòs riròs hìrös tsùm tàrsha nesavär, hainèfòs jidràl tòs imjíròs ènsèr. Fa tsùm hatönòs lu galö, hanàlörmòr Sarösa jir fa hjaládòr imríròs thamö."
Stay safe out there!

Veja! I evolved the Tsekàn script for my previous post! It Will probably be more improved later but I’m pretty happy with how it looks already :3
Tumblr media
It’s written bottom to top and is an abugida. Uhhh not much more to say about it just behold
That’s it haveja!

I made a writing system for Tèràlthun the parent language of Tsekàn! It looks a little like this:
Tumblr media
It functions like an abjad but vowel placement is already marked in this stage of development. It is started out on stone walls with your hands like old cave paintings, though most walls that are being written on are manmade ones. Later I will make versions where it is adapter for a different medium :3
It can still be written in any direction at this point however in this example it’s written left to right top to bottom.
Some fun facts: pronouns end wit the symbol ‘T’ from the word ‘Tèràl’. This is how the speakers call themselves and it makes helps telling them apart from other words that look like pronouns at first glance.
This Brings me to the second fun fact: vowel distinctions are quite important in the language which means that this system kinda sucks! However it takes a while to catch on so only later does it start improving more quickly.
That’s all for now! Haveja!

Two votes for yes that's enough for me!
Warning: the translation is a little rough
"Mä! As I stand in Saròs’s gaze I speak to you. Your gods lied and have lied long before. A new god most grow, a lone god! So I will wage war and become war while bringing death to the gods! They shall know fear."
"And when I redden the sky with their blood you will know I have won."
(Not sure how to tranlate 'mä' lol it's kinda like a 'hey listen up' word but a bit more serious)
"Mä! Dàn thänu il Sarösa lòjìl thunäru. Nàlrüte jasa ïròs nànfòr, rimèntáthune. Hamilasanòs fja lu ànfòr, fja fjànfòr! Tlè haröju fa haröhàsu dàn vahainòru ròsòs nànfòr lötàr! Harìngdäre lòjär."
"Fa dàn laròneru mesa rilàr hewàt, harìngdärà nàlrewängu."
Part of Mèrèk's speach recorded on the day of the last sun circa 26 P.I. by historian Demasa Gjènòr.

Posting here too!
You've heard of Tsekàn "Ja-hun vjesh fa vàshdär milwäshèr." now get ready for Atrànthun "A’un vìsh fa vèsh melvëshès dè’ìr a." :3
Finally did some work on another side of the language family so here's a little example of the same sentence in both languages :3

This is supposed to be Mèrèk btw, the villain from the story! He wants to kill the gods which is fine and all, the problem is he thinks himself the best to take their place when not everyone agrees
Tumblr media
Another face I drew! This one is quite messy but I kinda like how that looks :3
