I think that most of my criticism of pop stars doesn't matter and has no relevance even to my own life given that I was never a pop star girlie as a child, and didn't feel immense pressure to look a certain way and while there would be other girls who did and are, it is true that others aren't and are able to distinguish what might be age appropriate or not to themselves as children. So like while I do care and despair about the continued sexualisation of women (which never seems to be reaching an equilibrium with the sexualisation of men), I kind of feel like what's the point of having any opinions on pop stars when it's not even my world.
